Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily morning live meditation session with me,

Dhyansa.

My salutations to Yoga,

My salutations to Patanjali,

To bringing this knowledge of Yoga to us,

My salutations to this opportunity for us to explore this knowledge,

To explore the mysteries of our own life.

Yoga,

Meditation,

Spirituality is a dimension of life,

Is to be open when you realize that everything else,

Everything else that has been served in front of you as life has not yet met what you are really looking for.

And you are somewhat bored with everything that is offered in life.

Your intelligence sees through that whatever is offered,

The A plus B plus C of whatever is offered to you in life does not add up.

And there is a certain boredom in it because it always remains on the surface.

It never allows you to really go deep in life.

It never really allows you to have a first-hand taste of life.

Life is such a mysterious thing and we have learned an oversimplified version of what life is and that is why it falls short of whatever we are deeply searching for.

It never matches the version,

The explanation of life that you find in books,

That you find in the narrative that is out there and your true search and in your inner depths,

The feeling,

The sensation that you are looking for,

They both don't add up.

They both never meet.

So the dimension of spirituality,

Yoga,

Meditation becomes relevant when you take responsibility of going out of the narrative and searching this dimension that is there in you,

The mysteries of you and your own being,

Starting from even just your body.

Take a look at your body,

Not with the thought,

Not with the eyes,

But with your awareness and you will find out it is such a mysterious thing.

It is not just what is explained to us in the books of biology or by a physician as a sum of some physical matter.

It is such a sophisticated instrument,

Such a sophisticated phenomena that if you pay attention to your body,

You will be constantly surprised.

It doesn't matter at which age you are and how much life you have left in your life.

At every point,

Even if you just become aware of your body,

You will be constantly surprised,

You will be constantly amazed by the mysteries that your body carries,

From the spectrum of pain to pleasure,

From the spectrums of misery to bliss,

What all body is making available to you and how it is making available to you.

Don't leave it for somebody else.

Don't leave it for the science to tell you.

Don't leave your health on your health insurance that you pay a few bucks and then everything else about your health is taken care of.

Take responsibility of your own body,

At least of your own life and you will see that in that responsibility,

There is not the burden of responsibility.

There's the joy of exploring the mystery of your life,

The mystery of your body.

You can extend this to the mystery of your mind.

Such an amazing instrument,

Such an amazing thing that you cannot even put any words to summarize what mind is.

It has its own unique word,

It has its own unique place and it's not just that there is some chemistry going on in the brain which is projecting some ideas,

Which is projecting some thoughts out and that's it.

We have a very limited understanding of ourselves,

Of our mind and we have oversimplified everything to versions that are,

That one could talk about,

That one could just communicate with from one person to the other and has some sort of utility.

Our mind is way beyond just the utility.

It is the doorway,

It is the portal for transcendence beyond the physical,

Beyond the body and allowing us to experience the infinite dimensions of life of this existence.

So one life falls short of what all is possible,

What all one can experience in exploring the mysteries of life only if you pay attention,

Only if you move away from the knowledge that is there,

Out there,

The oversimplified knowledge,

Only if you move away from trying to capture everything in words because words and language is linear and also not trying to capture only in vision because vision may be somewhat higher than words but it's still somewhere you have you have explained things but rather you are exploring these dimensions with awareness,

With pure non-verbal awareness which you cannot summarize in what you see,

In what you hear,

In what you feel,

In what you touch,

In what you smell,

You cannot summarize in language,

In words but simply you validate the experience of it by your own awareness.

You know that you are experiencing life in its full potential,

In its full taste,

In its full multitude.

That experience of mystery of life can never be boring.

That experience of the mystery of life can never end.

You may leave the body,

You may move on but that experience is every moment changing,

That experience is every moment something to explore,

Worth exploring and not just getting caught up with mundane things of life.

Then if your curiosity is even deeper then comes the topic of consciousness.

You have explored the body,

You have explored the mind and naturally you start feeling and you start pointing your awareness towards yourself and you start realizing that there is something very obvious in you but you don't know what it is,

You cannot explain it and you realize that that is the source of everything,

That is the source of the manifestation that we experience as body,

That is the source of the manifestation that we experience as mind.

What is that?

We call that as consciousness,

We understand that as one source of everything from which the experience is arising,

From which all the manifestation is arising and that is an infinite mystery to be lived,

To be dived deep in and not to be solved as a problem.

If you hear in the public debate,

You have the scientists who now take consciousness as one of the hardest problems to be solved.

It is strange that we have converted everything into a problem,

We see everything as a problem and therefore life also appears as a problem and we are foolish enough to even call consciousness as a problem and trying to solve that as a problem and having debates between the science,

Their own version of what consciousness is and religious people and their version of what consciousness is and having a debate and at the most if we have interest in the topic what we do is we see those debates and we are enjoying those debates as we are enjoying a movie or something like that.

That's not the way to approach consciousness.

You yourself,

Your awareness is the instrument,

You yourself are the space in which you can explore and taste and go deep into consciousness and develop not only the understanding of what consciousness is but have that first hand aliveness that is there with you every moment arising out of your consciousness making this life worth living and not just fulfilling the mundane items that go on and on in your life.

We are currently going through Patanjali's Yoga Sutras where Patanjali is giving us meditations so that the mind becomes calm,

The mind becomes serene and gives way for the awareness to see the consciousness,

To see the body,

To see the mind,

To really explore what is and not be settled with explanations that are superficial with ideas that are only belonging to the mind.

The sutra for today,

Patanjali says,

Yatha abhimatta dhyanadva,

Very short sutra,

What that means is by meditating on anything that appeals to you.

Very simple,

If you have been following these sessions,

You know that Patanjali has given lots of meditations to meditate on Aum,

To meditate on the third eye,

To meditate on the heart,

To meditate on the inner light,

To meditate on observing the mind,

Lots of different meditations with one goal which is to put your mind in its right place,

To put your mind in a calm state so that your awareness can rise up.

And here he is giving you all the options,

He says meditate on anything that appeals to you,

Anything that takes your awareness away from simply thinking about things,

From simply examining everything from thought to falling deeper in yourself and examining from your own authenticity,

From your own awareness.

And all of us have these moments in our life.

In our daily life,

No matter how busy we are,

No matter what all mundane stuff that we are involved in,

Still there are openings where one falls back into one's own being and realizes that one is not just thinking about things that are all the time going on,

But there is a sort of awareness in it and observes and experiences the time that you have through that awareness and in those moments,

If you start meditating,

If you open that opening further and move into it,

That becomes a meditation in itself.

That is why we also sit every morning and build this as a practice that for at least 30 minutes,

You put all your thoughts,

All your knowledge,

All your activities aside and rely only on your awareness.

You open up the doors of your own being,

Of your inner space with your awareness and take the moments to go deep within because you may not have that time or that chance once again in your rest of the 24 hours.

So let us take this moment,

Take this opportunity to dive within,

To explore the mysteries of our body,

Mysteries of our mind,

Mysteries of our consciousness with our own awareness without any knowledge,

Without any preconceived notions of what is body,

Of what is mind,

Of what is consciousness.

Simply remaining aware as if for the very first time you are coming across your body,

For the very first time you are coming across your mind,

For the very first time you are coming across this sensation that there is something very obvious behind the body,

Behind the mind as the source and examining that with your own first-hand experience.

Let us close our eyes.

Take a posture that is comfortable with your back straight.

Take a nice deep breath,

Inhale from the nose and exhale from the nose,

Allowing the body to rest.

Let its own weight settle and your mind to also settle.

Bringing your awareness to your body and without the ideas of what is the shape,

Color,

Size and any other identification of what you have about your body,

Put that aside and simply sense,

Feel,

Be aware of your body as it is.

Let your deep breath flow naturally as you turn your awareness towards your body without any judgment,

Without any interpretation,

Simply remaining aware of the body.

Let your awareness flow naturally as you turn your awareness towards your body without any judgment,

As if you just entered this body for the very first time,

As if you know nothing about your body.

Let your awareness flow naturally as you turn your awareness towards your body without any judgment,

As if you just entered this body for the very first time,

As if you just entered this body for the very first time.

Let your awareness flow naturally as you turn your awareness towards your body without any judgment,

As if you just entered this body for the very first time.

And as this awareness settles,

Becomes brighter on the physical,

Include your mind,

The subtle,

Also in this awareness,

As if you are experiencing it for the very first time.

No conceptions,

No ideas,

No prior knowledge.

Being aware of your body and mind.

Let your awareness flow naturally as you turn your awareness towards your body without any judgment,

As if you just entered this body for the very first time.

Don't put any boundaries to your body and mind.

Let this awareness expand into infinite mysteries of the body,

Of the mind,

Of your inner world.

Let your awareness flow naturally as you turn your awareness towards your body without any judgment.

Now pay attention to the awareness.

Be aware of the awareness.

And move towards the source of this awareness.

Let your awareness flow naturally as you turn your awareness towards your body without any judgment.

Give all effort and simply stay silent,

Stay aware,

Wherever you are in your inner space,

Allowing your awareness to float freely,

To expand,

To move,

While you simply remain as an observer,

Staying silent,

Still and centered.

Let your awareness flow naturally as you turn your awareness towards your body without any judgment.

If you wish to stay longer in this meditative silence,

Keep your eyes closed,

Dive within,

Stay with this awareness,

Stay with this inner silence for as long as you like,

Or very gently and slowly you may open your eyes,

While maintaining this stillness,

This inner silence,

An awareness of the body,

Of the mind,

Of one's own being.

And as you proceed in your day,

Take this awareness,

This curiosity to explore the mysteries of yourself,

The mysteries of this world with your own experience,

With your own awareness and not just be satisfied with the oversimplified explanations provided to you.

I'll see you tomorrow at 7 am Central European Time.

Namaste.
