Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily live meditation session with me,

Dehansi.

We're meditating on 112 meditation techniques of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra.

A man was walking down the street.

A robber stopped him,

Pulled a knife out,

Put at his throat and said,

Your money or your life?

That man,

He closed his eyes,

He went into silence.

The robber,

He was shocked.

He once again said,

Man,

Your life or your money?

Man opened his eyes and said,

Wait,

I'm thinking,

I'm thinking.

We are always thinking,

Even if life is at stake.

Even if we are dealing with life,

We are still thinking all the time.

What are we thinking all the time?

What is this continuity,

This thought,

This thinking that is all the time there in us?

What is this thought?

What is this thinking that we have now found ourselves compulsively in?

We are only in the thought.

We are living in this world of thought almost 24-7.

We are not living in life.

We are living in the world of thought.

Your experiences,

All your experiences,

They are thought first,

Experiences later.

Even while you are eating,

You are thinking and even you are thinking about the food.

The pleasure of the food is coming out of the thought about the food.

The pleasure of doing something,

Of doing whatever action that you are doing is coming out of the thought of the doing or thinking about something else.

This constant thinking that we all are in,

What is this realm of thought?

Is this the realm of thought that we always have to be in?

Is this the realm that we belong to or our experience of life?

The true nature of life,

The truth of life,

The self,

The being belongs somewhere else,

Not on this realm of thought.

Whatever you are looking for in life,

Does that belong to this realm of thought that you are constantly having or it belongs to somewhere else and you are looking at the wrong place?

Give yourself these moments of contemplation to be aware of this realm of thought,

This layer of thought that is there in you.

If it helps,

Just imagine the world if you would live in a world where there would be no thought.

How would that world look like?

They are living without the thought,

They are in perfect harmony with each other,

They are in perfect harmony with nature,

They communicate what they have to communicate,

But you would not see a cow sitting and thinking or an elephant in the jungle thinking.

Human beings,

We are so proud of this thinking,

We are so proud that because of this thought,

We are ruling all other species on this planet.

But see our experience,

Our experience of life has become the experience of thought,

The experience of imagination,

Not the experience of reality,

Not the experience of truth,

Not the taste of the real,

But the idea of the real.

Not only the material,

Even the spiritual,

We are enjoying just the thought of it through the books,

Through listening to other people,

Through other things,

We are enjoying the thought of spirituality,

Not the essence of spirituality.

We have to come down from this constant thinking that is going on all the time and once again discover that thoughtless awareness that we all have and function not only in meditation,

But throughout our life in awareness,

To come down from the thought,

The world of thought to the world of awareness.

And it will help you also in your daily life as well because you will see once you are established in awareness,

You will see that this world,

This realm of thought,

This is a marketplace,

You have been made as a consumer because of this realm of thought.

This realm of thought,

This realm is of control because it is tangible,

It is hackable,

It can be controlled,

Therefore all what you are thinking,

Any time that you are thinking,

Most of it,

99% of that is not your thought.

You never have your original thought.

All thoughts that you have,

They are all coming from the outside.

The realm of thought is as real and as fake as money.

It is real for you,

It is important for you,

But you know that it is fake.

You know that money is real for you,

Money is important for you,

But at the same time you know that it is fake.

Somebody else is printing that while you are worrying about it,

While you want to have more of it,

While you want to work for it,

Put all your life at stake for it,

For something that somebody else is just printing out of thin air.

Thought is the same,

That you are living in the world of thought,

You are invested in the world of thought,

All your experiences of life are invested in the world of thought and you are not even the owner of that thought.

That thought is coming from the outside.

The outside is telling you where the happiness is,

Buy this and there is happiness,

Or be this and there is happiness.

This is where love is,

This is where all the experiences of life are.

All this is a part of the realm of thought.

Unless you step down from the realm of thought,

You come out of this madness,

This hypnosis of the realm of thought into an awareness that is pure,

Into an intelligence that is faster,

That is sharper,

Clearer,

Wholesome than the intelligence of thought.

Even your awareness is trapped in thought.

When you say,

I cannot concentrate,

What is happening is that you are trying to think about it,

Therefore you cannot concentrate.

You always can concentrate,

Your awareness is always at peace.

Your awareness is not going here and there,

Your thought is going here and there and your awareness is tied to the thought.

You have to decouple your awareness from your thought which is going randomly here and there,

Which is having this disorder.

We call this attention deficit disorder that we all have some form of attention deficit disorder,

But it is actually a thought disorder.

It is not an attention disorder.

Your attention is a function of your awareness.

Your awareness is always here,

It is nowhere else.

So move from thought to awareness,

Step down from thought to awareness and you will see that you are living far more real,

The experience of life is far more real.

Just like you meet someone on the screen digitally and you meet someone in real,

There is a huge difference no matter what thoughts you share,

No matter whatever you share digitally through the screen,

But when you meet someone in real,

The experience is so different,

The experience is so wholesome,

It is so multi-dimensional.

Same is with the thought and the awareness.

The experience of life with the thought is single dimensional.

It is just this screen of thought,

Just like you have the screen in front of you.

Similarly thought,

The realm of thought is like a screen in front of you and you are only interacting with that screen.

When you come down to your awareness,

You come back to the real world.

You meet people in real,

You experience in real,

You taste in real,

You see in real,

You touch in real,

You feel in real.

Step down from the realm of thought to the realm of awareness to your true nature,

To where your being belongs,

To where you belong,

To where all your truth belongs.

Step down from the world of thought to the world of awareness.

Meditation is that process to take you down from that craziness of the thought to put you back into the sanity of awareness.

Let us listen to the technique for today which Bhairava gives in Vigyan Bhairav Tantra and practice this,

Build it in our own experience,

Learn it,

Practice it and be in understanding of what this technique can bring to us,

To our life.

Bhairava says,

By meditating simultaneously on the void above,

The void below and the void in the heart,

There arises the state of Nirvikalpa which is free from thought.

Let me repeat once again,

By meditating simultaneously on the void above,

The void below and the void in the heart,

There arises the state of Nirvikalpa which is free from thought.

Once again a technique of emptiness,

In the past days we are meditating on these techniques which are connecting us back to this emptiness,

To this emptiness that is our true nature,

This emptiness which is the fundamental unit,

Fundamental fabric of our truth of who we are and when we connect,

When we tune in,

When we realize this emptiness,

This nothingness,

This silence,

Then we are thrown back into our true nature,

We are taken out of this realm of thought,

This artificial realm of thought into Nirvikalpa Samadhi.

What is also referred to in yoga as Nirvikalpa Samadhi here in Tantra also is the same indication that when you connect to emptiness,

When you tune into emptiness,

You are in a state of Nirvikalpa Samadhi which is a thoughtless awareness.

This thoughtless awareness is,

Once you have this thoughtless awareness,

You are seated,

Situated once again back in your true self.

When you do this technique,

When you bring your awareness to the head,

What you have to do is,

You have to imagine,

You have to visualize for the beginning that there is emptiness in your head.

So the void above is the emptiness in your head,

You will visualize this emptiness in your head,

Nothingness in your head.

It may be just an imagination for the beginning.

You may have to use your thought in the beginning but very soon you see there is a movement from thought to awareness and in that awareness you have this emptiness in your head.

Then you move down to your heart.

Heart where you have stored all your emotions,

All the repressions that you have,

All the pain that you have,

Once you bring emptiness,

Once you connect,

Tune into the emptiness of the heart,

All that pain,

All that load that you have been carrying all throughout your past,

All that disappears into emptiness.

And then the void below which is the void of your root,

Which is the void of muladhara,

The void physically you can imagine this as a void,

Emptiness below your navel until your perineum.

We did this technique yesterday where we did this visualization,

This tuning into emptiness in the head and in the root.

Today we are adding one more zone to it to give a completion to this entire physical layer of our body and move from the physical to the non-physical,

Move from the tangible to the intangible,

From the thought to the awareness.

So you will be in this visualization through the meditation of the void in the head,

Void in the heart,

Void in your root simultaneously.

If you can,

We will start by going through the head,

Then the heart,

Then the root and then simultaneously avoid throughout our body,

Avoid throughout our physicality.

At any time if you are unable to do something,

If you don't feel what is being instructed,

Don't worry about it,

Simply sit in silence.

And stay in this silence,

Give yourself these moments to relax in yourself.

Even that much is enough,

Even if you give yourself few moments of your eyes closed,

Of having not to do anything,

Not to follow anything,

Even if you can do that,

That is more than enough.

But if you follow the instructions,

If you follow the guidance,

It will be easier for you to connect,

To tune in to your emptiness.

With that let us close our eyes and take a posture that is easy,

Comfortable for you.

Sit with your body relaxed yet alert.

Responsible for human snack,

Exercise at any time,

And although it affects your body.

Breath flowing in and out.

And settling with every exhalation into rest.

As your body settles,

Shifting awareness to the area in your head.

Visualizing,

Imagining,

Tuning in to the emptiness in your head.

As if the head is completely empty,

Empty space,

With absolutely nothing in it.

Pull all your energy in this space.

This visualization,

Imagination,

Tuning in to your emptiness.

Breath flowing in and out.

Your head in emptiness,

A void in nothingness.

And now,

Shifting awareness to your heart.

To the middle section of your body,

Below your neck,

Above your navel.

And feel the emptiness in your heart.

Space,

The infinite vast space in this emptiness.

And now,

Shifting awareness to the outer space.

Feel this emptiness in your heart.

Let all dissolve,

Disappear into the emptiness of your heart.

And shifting awareness below your navel,

Until the base of your body,

Until the perineum.

This whole physical in emptiness.

All your energy in this visualization,

This feeling of emptiness at your root.

And now,

Shifting awareness to the outer space.

Now,

Awareness throughout your body,

From the head to the heart to the root.

Emptiness everywhere.

Whatever arises in your consciousness,

Let the dissolve disappear in this emptiness.

This vast,

Infinite space.

Don't hold anything back,

Not even yourself.

Let yourself melt,

Dissolve,

Disappear in this emptiness.

What remains is awareness,

Pure awareness.

No more effort whatsoever.

Simply stay in silence,

In awareness,

In emptiness.

Now,

Shifting awareness to the outer space.

Now,

Shifting awareness to the outer space.

Now,

Shifting awareness to the outer space.

Awareness back to your body.

Back to your breath.

Back to your mind.

Very gently and slowly,

You may open your eyes.

Remaining in this experience,

In this realization of emptiness,

In this taste of stepping down from the thought to the thoughtless,

To the awareness,

To your true self.

Take this experience in the rest of your day.
