Thank you for joining me today.
This meditation is about reclaiming your spiritual life so that your spiritual life comes back into your own hands in the way that you most enjoy it,
Value it,
Treasure it,
And live it.
So let's move into a meditative posture,
Opening ourselves to that sense of our center.
Take an easy breath,
And as you exhale just allow your body to relax and come into that place,
That calm,
Serene state.
Take another easy breath,
And allow your thoughts and your emotions to relax and calm down.
Just relax,
There's nothing else to do right now.
Set aside all the busyness of your day or the thoughts about how your day is going to unfold.
Or if you're listening to this meditation in the evening,
Letting go of the day's events.
Just be here in this moment now,
And come into your center,
That place if you think back which has always been there.
Sometimes in the background,
But always there from one part of your life to the next.
Feel the sense of your center and come into it.
And feel that calmness,
That serenity that feels so good.
So solid,
So fluid.
Your own presence.
And now as you relax into your center,
In your mind's eye,
In your imagination,
Simply imagine yourself,
Picture yourself standing in a place in nature that you hold beautiful.
Either a place that you've been to,
That you love.
Or a place that you can imagine or always have wanted to go to.
And in this place,
Begin to feel your connection.
Feel your connection with the place that you're in.
Sense the natural world around you.
Listen with your ears,
Look with your eyes,
Smell with your nose,
Touch with your fingers.
Just if there's something to taste.
Just gain all the experience of this beautiful place into yourself,
Into your body.
And feel yourself open up.
Release and let go.
And as you let go,
Just imagine your spiritual life.
How the spiritual part of your life is experienced by you.
And what it feels like when you feel that sense that's of the most meaning to you.
The richest experience of who you are as a spiritual person.
What is that experience like?
How does it affect you?
What is your sense about you within this spiritual life?
When you bring this part of your life,
Your spiritual life,
Into your awareness,
What happens for you?
How do you change?
And how does your spiritual life interweave with your daily life,
Your everyday life?
How are they connected?
Hold on to this sense of your own spiritual life for a few moments.
Then imagine and visualize if you can,
How your spiritual life has been with you since the first time that you can remember.
Was it the awe of looking up at the Milky Way for the first time?
Was it the immensity of standing by the ocean or a great lake and feeling how vast it was?
Feeling it in your bones?
Was it the love within your family?
Your mother,
Your father,
Your grandparents,
Your siblings?
Or if you have children,
Was it the love that you feel for your children that brought this spiritual aspect of yourself into its own light?
Looking back through your life,
How has this spiritual life,
The spiritual aspect of your life,
Been expressing itself all along?
And as you think back in your history,
Become aware of the actual feeling quality of the impact of your spiritual life.
Those moments,
Those experiences,
The challenges that you've overcome in order to keep and hold as precious the spiritual aspect of you.
And bring all this history in a feeling way up into this moment,
Into the present moment,
As you stand in this beautiful place in nature.
And then imagine going forward in time and how your spiritual life traces out into the future.
What is your vision for where you'd like to go with your spiritual life?
What is your purpose?
What is your purpose in life that you feel deeply,
That calls to you,
That you long for?
And what is the expression of your purpose in your spiritual life?
How does it unfold into the future?
What kind of person do you envision becoming over time so that your spiritual life becomes more and more an expression of who you are?
Finding itself through you in your work,
In your relationships,
In your connection with nature,
In all the aspects of your life,
Including how you experience and view your own self.
How does your spiritual life moving into the future impact and affect all of these expressions of who you are and of your life?
Imagine this vision for just one more moment.
And then again come back into this moment,
Into now.
And you've pictured and visualized and imagined the past in respect to your spiritual life.
And you've envisioned the future of who you'd like to be,
How you'd like to live with your spiritual life expressing itself through you out into the future.
So just sit with both of those directions in this moment with who you are now.
And if you can reach within yourself into your heart of hearts and claim this life of yours,
Claim your spiritual life as yours and hold the preciousness of this beautiful aspect of who you are.
Cherish it and find the vow within you to nurture your spiritual life for the rest of your days.
To keep it.
To continually return to it.
To honor your own path.
Your own spiritual aspect of who you are.
All of your life.
In your history,
In this moment,
And into the future.
Claim this aspect,
This spiritual life as your own.
And hold it,
Allowing it to evolve,
Gaining wisdom,
Connection,
Richness,
Thickness.
And consider that this may be the most important part of your life.
So cherish it well.
Stay in the meditation for just one more moment.
And then begin to come back.
Back from this beautiful place in nature.
Back into the room that you're sitting in.
Back into this time.
And back into your body.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Thank you again,
My friend,
For joining me today.
