What are spiritual practices?

They are sacred experiences that align you with the divine,

With the truest aspects of what you are,

With your non-physical self.

Do you have a sacred practice?

What are you hoping for in building a sacred practice?

This episode is inspired by one of my recent live sessions.

I can't tell you how much fun these are.

What I typically do,

And if I could share with you my process,

I write the script for the live session,

What I want to share with others,

The wisdom I want to put forth,

The questions that I have for the discussion,

And then we have these incredibly soulful journeys into so much,

Into the heart of what's really important.

And then I go back and I do my best to encapsulate all that we experience together into my notes before I record the Ask Dorothy episode here for you.

I hope that you are able to have a sense of the richness of what happens in each of my live sessions each week.

These are really wonderful ways for us to connect live,

Of course,

And for you to be able to reach out and experience the spoken word in real time.

We have live sessions twice each week.

Join me.

What we may look for in a spiritual practice is its ability to cultivate inner peace or love,

Or to cherish the moments of pure awakening in what we experience as what it means to live awake and present.

One of the most beautiful expressions of a spiritual practice is its ability to nurture the divine,

The experience of being a oneness with something much larger than your physical self.

It is the sense of witnessing all of life and you as one.

We have those moments.

Maybe it is when we are still or if we are earthing or grounding into the earth,

Or perhaps as we recognize that love and the sanctity of our hearts as pure positive energy.

You can experience this as you first hold the space here for presence in pure awareness.

A spiritual practice is a practice in which we attune ourselves to our highest self,

Our highest power,

The oneness of what we truly are,

And to embrace this as our instinctive nature.

The ideal is to be able to live from this as our fundamental nature.

I'd love to hear from you if you are on a spiritual quest.

What is one of your spiritual practices?

How has it become nourishing for your soul?

Write to me.

I love hearing from you.

All right,

So simply eloquently put,

There are three ways that you may cultivate a spiritual practice,

Both within meditation and in all places of your life.

First,

Find solace in what you discover.

Experiences are meant to open you to the blissful state of the present moment in which you exist as a microcosm of all of the universe.

Think of it as having the greatest concentration of your power to choose in these moments.

To choose love,

To choose grace,

To choose victory,

To choose compassion,

To choose kindness always,

And even if it means stepping away from or removing yourself for moments to exist in peace unto yourself.

Second,

Draw yourself nearer to godliness,

To goodness,

Whatever words or symbol or expression you feel closest to in describing the beautiful divine that exists within you.

Align yourself with this divine.

Become one with your highest self,

The god source that is a part of you.

Let this conscious decision be a sacred practice that you live from,

For this is how you love,

And you love willingly,

Soulfully,

And gracefully.

And third,

The love you are comes naturally as you give yourself the moments of quiet and stillness in which to be,

To be the beautiful presence of love in all moments,

And certainty as the space of your practice,

Your beingness in the present,

To open your mind and your heart to witness the certainty of love that is here.

Love as a spiritual practice,

As a sacred rhythm,

As a true metaphor for what you are learning and seeking.

And I will wrap this up with a note for me.

For me,

A spiritual practice is so much about the essence that I bring and hold to what is before me.

I can be looking outside to the very same view that I may see each and every day and find something new to be grateful for,

To appreciate,

To find interest in,

To see the beauty of.

I think about what allows me to live as my highest self,

And when I align with that,

Everything flows so beautifully.

I think there is much for us to dive into here.

And I hope that wherever you are on your spiritual path,

That you continue.

You embrace it,

You dive deep into it,

Because the more you unearth and discover,

The more it opens for you all that is life-affirming.

It reminds us of why we are truly here.

Thank you so much.

Sending you great love.

This is Dorothy Sonori Juno.

Namaste.

Namaste.
