Hi,

Welcome to Lasting Impact.

This is a five-minute sleep meditation designed to help you unwind,

Let go,

And prepare for sleep.

So get comfortable,

Whether that's lying down in your bed or maybe sitting up somewhere,

Wherever that is,

Just decide and start to let your body settle into wherever it is.

Maybe you've had a really long,

Busy day,

Or maybe you've had one of those days where it feels like,

Wow,

Where did that day go?

In either case,

It's time to let that go and find peace,

Stillness,

And sleep.

Close your eyes and connect to your breath.

Take a deep breath in,

And a long,

Smooth exhale out,

And do that again.

Deep breath in,

Let your eyes drift closed if they're not there already,

And feel your body starting to relax.

Let your mind let go of anything that came before this moment,

And anything that may be coming to your world tomorrow or after.

Just be here,

Now,

As you pay attention to your breath,

With each inhale and exhale,

Visualize a number,

Counting up from 1 to 10,

Then back down from 10 to 1.

It looks like this,

Breathe in,

Visualize the number 1,

Breathe out,

2,

Breathe in 3,

Breathe out,

3,

And out,

4.

Keep going at your own pace,

With your own breathing.

It can help to visualize the number,

Maybe even visualizing a pencil,

Or a marker,

Or a paintbrush even,

Writing or painting the number in your mind,

And try not to force the breath here,

Just breathe naturally,

And when you've done one round,

Counting from 1 to 10,

And back down to 1 again,

Go ahead and start over.

As you visualize the numbers,

Feel your body letting go of any tension it's still holding on to,

And you can continue this counting and visualization for as many rounds as you'd like,

And as you count,

Relaxing deeper into a more peaceful sleep.

Thanks for joining me,

Goodnight.
