Talk about gratitude one of the greatest gifts and magical moments of your day I'm sure a lot of people have heard gratitude is kind of the thing right I think the secret really introduced it like 20 years ago in that whole really just kind of like showing the gratefulness of what you have so that more returns and I think the big thing is is that gratitude actually taps into one of the natural laws of the universe right which is what I give is what I receive right what I give is what I receive and so giving that gratitude shows that gratefulness which only allows it and makes it come back but one of the byproducts of gratitude that I I don't think a lot of people know that I actually love is is that not only is it when I give and show gratitude do I receive it but also other people receive it as well so other people who are asking for or grateful for the same thing and have an intention for that thing it actually all combines and comes back to all of us so we're kind of adding on to it and kind of creating this big ball of like gratefulness which I personally love it's one of the things that like inspire me to do it every day okay so before you go because we're here talking real right yes sorry I get so excited oh and it's awesome and I know and and and you're you inspired me to really it's like accept gratitude that that gratitude practice and the and from what I've seen from it has been amazing but I have to say like I was I am you know in therapy I'm very much I didn't used to do the affirmations or the gratitude journals and things like that I thought they were very superficial to be honest and I thought they were kind of minimizing to what the clients were going through you know it's like you come in and somebody who is going through you know either you know the loss of a loved one some big trauma depression anxiety loss of work divorce like all these great things and I'm like okay I want you to sit down and I'm every night and I want you to write down three things that you are grateful for and I was like I would smack me in the face I would too so I'm very big on like I I want like I go for the big I go for like the big things I'm all about this like big change right you know so those things seemed very minimizing to me until I started practicing it myself and I think when I was in a bad place and you were helping me is when you said okay I want you to you gave me two things you said I want you to one every day write down something that you're grateful for that day and you can't repeat it yes every day has to be something different no matter how big or small it is and then the second thing was I want you to write down what you're grateful for that you want to happen that hasn't happened yet and that one you repeat every day until it comes true yes and I loved that because the focus I didn't feel minimized you know what I mean the way you presented that to me felt very empowering actually I will tell you so like the reason and and we can kind of backplate like back a little like most people when you say create a gratitude practice the practice is typically I love my husband I love my kids I love my house I'm so grateful that I have a job I'm so grateful for food right and then they go to tomorrow and they write the exact same thing right and they go to the next day and they write the exact same thing to me that's not gratitude right all you're doing is copying something and moving it right so what happens when you copy it the energy of the first just starts to deplete every single time you copy it so you're not really showing gratitude it's just expected well and the whole purpose is to find gratitude and things you were not looking at it kind of forces you to go okay wait I already used that I already used that what is something I'm grateful for today yes I'm grateful I you know that's why that's why I always say to people like what I want you to do is when you start when you start this gratitude practice right I want you to start with something and think about your day and in thinking of your day what is the one thing that stands out in that day and that's the thing that you should now list what you're grateful for and when you're writing it you want to start with I am grateful for whatever it was right so today it could be I am grateful for no traffic driving home and tomorrow it could be wow I'm so grateful for that person in the grocery store who is super kind to me and showed me where to go because I get lost in grocery stores all the time and then so like you can change it up right but you need to kind of look at the day and pick the one thing that like really stands out right and that's the one you start with I am grateful for dot dot dot right but then where the real magic comes in is the second side of it is what do you want right so we're showing gratitude for what we've received and those things are coming right so we're gonna get more of that just by stating it every day those little surprises create more of those surprises right so you're gonna find that as you continue your practice it's not going to be one thing three or four things are gonna be right you might have days where it's just one days where it's three where two but it's always going to change because of the amount of gratitude you're putting out then you go into okay now I want to create what I want and when you do that there's a few kind of like steps in the formula you really need to think about what it is you want and I think when you whenever you're manifesting or really thinking about something that you really desire the key to it is think within reality right a lot of people are like well I want to be a millionaire I hope you are because I want to be one too but you know what let's start turn it back a little bit let's start with something that's a little more tangible right we've got to get the snowball to become a giant avalanche you guys start small and let it grow right and so pick something think of something that you want from from psychology based it's it forces us to think about what it is we actually want people say things like I just want to be happy well I want to you know have financial freedom I want to I want to start my own business I want to be you know all this kind of stuff which are amazing goals which most of us want but what does that look like and what are the what are the actual tangible things that you can and what is the next step now yes you know to get there and and so I love that it forces people to really think about that and put it into like that almost like a goal yeah you know because you're saying I am grateful that I and then you try to be specific yeah so the big thing with gratitude and what you want is you want it to be like you've received it right as if it's already happened it's already here you've already gotten it right so you want to always start with thank you for right because you're thankful that you already have it right thank you for dot dot dot but then the key is is that as you're writing the thank you for right because you're gonna write this you need to feel what it's like to have that gratitude right that thanks you have to feel what it's like in what you wanted right you have to know what that feels like so it's really tapping into that emotion and as you're writing it you need to let that emotion also flow as you write because you're actually when you write you actually want to be like visualizing what like yourself with that either living that life or having whatever it is or you know be you know being in that and so you're you're one you're visualizing it and then you're also feeling the emotions that go along with it yeah you know that love that that pride that you know happiness whatever it might be and so you're connecting all of that not you know it's almost like mentally behaviorally you know physically spiritually and you're creating that energy which I don't know how if if anybody's familiar with dr.

Joe Dispenza he does like research and stuff and that's that's his big thing which I I was recently reading reading his book and he's yeah and he talks about like the importance of like that's really the key is to visualize it yes you have to feel it well it's it's the same right yeah what you feel is what you see what you see is what you're writing well also here's a really good point that I just I just thought of is our body does not know the difference between our thought and something that actually happened yes so our body is believing that whatever it's kind of like the same if that sounds like like you unbelievable to you think about when you dream when we dream we're in it and we actually it feels real our body is responding we can actually cry we can feel anger we feel you know a physiological change we can even be like physically like punching or trying to run or moving somehow you know so we're actually feeling that our body does not know the difference it's kind of a concept with trauma too we're replaying it and our body feels like we're still in it and so this is really this is where this is where I love the overlap of psychology and spirituality you know it's it's interesting so it's yeah so you're so it's our body is already preparing and sending out that energy as if it's already there we already have it and so we're gonna attract it even more that's that's the key though right like the key is I have it right now so I'm thinking for it right so it's like someone gives you a gift right and you open the gift up on your birthday you're like oh I love it thank you right same concept for the future right the gift you have it you're going to start being thankful for it right now and in that thankfulness it's like you're opening up the gift and thinking about visualizing what that you want feeling what it feels like to open that gift and get what you want right and then saying thank you to the universe for giving it to you today right not tomorrow not next month today so it's thank you for this today and I know there's a lot of skeptics because like I said I was one totally right which is okay right if that is completely fine but I always say you know what what is it gonna hurt it's definitely not gonna hurt and even from a psycho psychology perspective it's only going to help me focus where I'm putting my attention right even if you're not even gonna like believe that you're actually gonna manifest this stuff like you don't even have to all I recommend is try it it's not going to hurt at all so why not give it a try and I try I was so when I started I started with like you know big things and like little things I we have our little our dog who's almost two now spirit and of course he is he is such a boy he is out with my husband he plays in the mud he runs around he likes to play with bugs you know he doesn't want to be you know with mom up in the bed cuddling not yet at least so I started saying like I am so grateful that spirit likes to be my little spoon you know that he's that he knows that he wants to come to bed with me at night you know and I'm telling you like it started happening he was coming up on his own because before I would have to like go grab him from downstairs and like lock him in the room and you know basically like make him sleep with me and that's so sad it's not it's magical though it's because it's so important started happening and he started coming up at night by himself and just going to sleep with me and he started like curling himself up on you know on my pillow next to me and I was just like and then I like put my arms around him and I would say oh my gosh I'm so grateful for this moment and then that turned into the what I'm grateful for that day that has already happened see you know what I mean now you switch it I switched it yeah you don't need that one anymore it was no gratitude but to it test it you know what I mean be curious of these things you don't have to believe any of this stuff right test it put it to and just start you know I say for like a month like I don't know yeah I love that make it a challenge and just say you know what I'm gonna try this and see what happens and I we would love to hear feedback of if you've already done this if you know you find that this works for you if it doesn't work for you you know and and I want I would love to hear from people who like don't really agree and are gonna take that challenge that would be really awesome yeah I think I would love to see people take the challenge I will tell you I am in a small circle and just yesterday our circle kind of got together and it's a bunch of I have a circle of other intuitives throughout the US and a couple in the UK and Canada and we were talking last night and someone had mentioned that one of their clients didn't really kind of jive with the gratitude and and so she challenged them and she said like hey I want you to try this for 30 days start with something easy and so she's just started something simple like oh she's gonna kill me like thank you for the lasting friendship my friend like her friend moved away like to a different country and so she's like that we're connecting and things are starting to happen and she didn't talk to this person for like months after she moved and then as she started to write it within two weeks her friend started calling oh wow so like just out of the blue it just started happening right there's these little miracles like they are like daily miracles like seriously started to happen and believe me I would not I would be listening to me right now going like oh you know give me a break you know but that's why you have to try it for yourself miracles are real miracles it's just do you want to claim them are you ready to claim the miracle right so just to recap because I think this is such a big one yeah is there are two sides to this lesson the first one is what are you grateful for for the day right I typically will do this laying down as I'm like ending my day I'll lay in bed and I'll think about what happened today that was just so amazing something that really just made me smile or really made me feel like good and you write that down I am grateful for little Lula right and you can't repeat it so what you list today cannot be tomorrow or next week or the week after always something new second thing is think about what you want right find that thing and and like I said start small start easy right connecting with a friend connecting with someone at work resolving something or maybe it's the first step to a larger goal exactly what you got to build it right but start with something and when you start to visualize it feel it and as you feel it you've received it right write that thank you for like you're opening the gift right thank you for state it send out the energy and be good and within 30 days you'll start to see things start shifting I've witnessed it may like I do it all the time I tell everybody about it now this is you know because I I don't you know I'm not gonna say I'm not gonna recommend anything that you know I haven't tried myself or you know that I don't know to be true so yeah this is part of my non-negotiable like one of my things that I do every day it's part of my spiritual practice I even say like I'm grateful for I'll run down I'll run down you know this like list of stuff and you know and it could be when I'm jogging when I'm you know like said doing the dishes so I say take up the challenge and try it for 30 days let us know if you have any questions and definitely share what what what you see your experience and and even you know and it doesn't have to be you know share everything like if you you're like this doesn't work like let's talk about it because that's really why we're here is to share and not just the successes right it's easy to share our successes with people it's it's about the journey it's about overcoming so it's really important that we talk about the challenges that we have so that we could overcome them and maybe into any resistance that we have to these things and so please share with us like what's not working or what how you felt when you did it you know so that because I'm sure there's there's definitely gonna be other people who have experienced the same thing and so and we need to our whole goal is to work together on this yes let us help you make it happen
