Imagine your world transformed,
Find a comfortable position,
Allow yourself to become comfortable.
Notice whether that is sitting or lying down.
Allow yourself to be physically supported so that your body can fully relax.
Take a moment to adjust yourself and settle in.
Notice what you need for support.
And once you've become comfortable,
Allow your eyes to close or simply soften your gaze.
Then begin to focus on your breath.
Feel your belly rise and fall with each inhalation and exhalation.
Make each breath a little slower,
A little deeper than the one before.
Feel your belly expand and soften with each breath.
Don't attempt to control your inhales and exhales,
Just gently direct the inhale to your belly and then allow your body to naturally and slowly release it.
Inhaling,
Exhaling,
Noticing the belly expand and then soften.
Notice now if there's any areas of your body that feel tight or if there's tension.
Lightly scan your body from your head to your toes and notice if there's any discomfort or maybe stress.
Draw your attention to any area of discomfort and allow yourself to become more and more comfortable.
Turn your attention to your mind and begin to notice the thoughts and the images that are arising.
Allow these thoughts to drift away like balloons in the air.
Maybe imagining your thoughts as leaves on a slow stream.
My favorite imagination is to imagine my thoughts as being written down on a piece of paper and then filed away into a filing cabinet.
Knowing that I can attend to these thoughts or these images later.
Allowing myself space.
Allowing these thoughts to simply float as my mind becomes a bit clearer,
A bit more quiet as I sense a calmness.
Deep within you is a wellspring of hopes,
Desires,
And dreams.
Journey now to this space.
Allow it to gently open.
As your dreams rise to the surface and to your awareness,
Giving yourself permission to imagine a future.
Imagine a world or imagine yourself deeply transformed in a very meaningful way.
Fully immerse yourself in possibility and allow the experience that you're having to become more and more real.
Allow whatever arises to emerge naturally from your deepest,
Truest self.
You may be experiencing this in images and sounds and words and phrases.
Maybe simply symbols or metaphors or feelings.
This experience that you're having can make complete sense to your intellect,
To your brain.
It can be a story that you're familiar with or a movie that you understand or it may yet be not understood.
It can be something that doesn't make sense.
It may be simply a thought or a vague dream.
Whether it's something that you're familiar with or it's a brand new experience,
A surprise,
A gift from your inner self,
Allow yourself to notice,
To become curious about what is showing up for you in whatever form it is.
Simply begin to explore this experience more fully now.
Explore this experience more deeply.
Notice what you notice and then notice as it unfolds for you.
As we begin to emerge from this,
Know that you can now allow all of the positive,
Good,
Wonderful elements of this to linger with you.
Allow it to infuse your day.
Allow it to comfort you.
If this is your night,
Take it away in your pocket or imagine yourself holding it in your heart and then slowly bring yourself back to your body,
Noticing how it feels and then beginning to notice any sounds or any smells,
How your clothes is on your skin,
How the ground is supporting you,
How the chair is supporting you and then maybe wiggle your toes,
Your fingers and when you're ready,
Take a nice deep breath.
Bring yourself back fully into your body,
Into this moment.
Open your eyes and take a big stretch.
In this experience,
You've painted a picture in your mind.
You've illuminated some potential within you.
This is where you explore what you experienced.
Take your favorite journal,
Your notebook,
Your favorite pencil and begin to annotate details of what you experienced and what you saw,
Whether it made sense or not.
For myself,
Writing tends to be caught up as it travels from my head to my hand and so I prefer to simply record my voice.
You can pick up your phone,
Turn on any voice recorder and simply remember your experience as you imagine your ideal future from the deepest,
Truest part of you.
Amen.
