Hi and welcome to day 10 of the mindful minute.
This is Laura.
And today I'd like to do a practice that can be done inside your home,
In a comfortable space or in a pleasing outdoor space,
Whatever you'd like.
So go ahead and find a comfortable seat and we'll begin.
Before closing your eyes or turning your gaze downward,
Take a moment to just notice what you see around you.
Notice the colors,
Notice the shapes.
What's in your vision?
And then if you'd like,
Soften that gaze and notice what you feel.
Maybe you feel the temperature of the air around you,
The breeze,
The temperature of your home if you're inside.
Begin to notice any smells,
Pleasing or not.
Not judging,
Just being aware of them.
What is around you that you can touch?
What tactile sensations can you experience here in this moment?
And finally,
What sounds do you hear?
Do you hear the sounds of nature?
Do you hear the quiet sounds of your home?
Just be aware.
Spend as much time sitting here,
Noticing and enjoying.
