In this meditation you will explore resilience through change by exploring your current bodily sensations, and offering thoughts, breaths, and visualizations of grace into all pieces of self. Here we allow ourselves to hold ourselves however we show up in each moment, letting change be welcome inside us. Intertwining our newness and ancient wisdom in one practice, cultivating a deeper relationship with your grace and bravery necessary to continually show up in our own lives.

Hello!

My name is Eden.

And this meditation today moves the power of grace through us.

.

.

.

.

.

Letting the sensation of curiosity and forgiveness anchor into our bodies even more deeply.

So wherever you're finding yourself today,

Go ahead and offer your body a few movements of grace,

Of understanding.

Just showing your body that you hear it today.

Maybe that's rolling the wrists,

Maybe taking a forward fold,

Lengthening the spine,

Softening the eyes,

The hips,

The shoulders.

Maybe that's holding the heart.

Offering yourself something here first,

To whatever version of you is showing up today.

They deserve whatever you can offer.

And taking a few slow,

Intentional,

Deep breaths into your system and back out.

No rush.

Your breath as your only guide.

Observing the breath as it dances through and down and around.

.

.

.

.

.

And noticing the edges of the breath.

.

.

.

.

.

And softening those edges just a little bit extra with this next round.

.

.

.

.

.

Letting the breath move just an inch deeper,

Further,

Wider into the body.

.

.

.

.

.

And relaxing any little muscles in the face.

Continuing those deep breaths,

Letting yourself be nourished from the inside out.

From the inside out.

What is that like?

And maybe noticing any little truths popping up in your system now,

In the mind or in the body.

What feels tight?

What feels uneasy?

What feels difficult?

And what feels spacious?

What feels easeful?

What feels easy?

Offering yourself another piece of that grace,

Whatever that might look like for you right now.

Maybe a breath into that tightness.

Maybe a little mantra or a few words that feels true to you.

Maybe relaxing the grip of the mind a little bit more.

.

.

.

.

.

As we remember that these truths are also capable of changing and shifting.

.

.

.

.

.

In fact,

They're just about guaranteed.

Change as the constant.

Just because we observe something in our mind or in our body or in our heart right now.

.

.

.

.

.

Does not mean that it has always been there.

And it does not mean that it always will be.

The good and the bad.

And sure,

There are pieces of us that are our oldest parts,

Our oldest patterns,

Our oldest stories.

And then,

There are these pockets of newness,

This fresh babe,

This seed.

.

.

.

.

.

That you are just now planting for the first fruiting season.

The deeper we allow ourselves to live,

The more internal death we will face.

That is why it takes so much bravery to show up for you.

And to find your steadiness in the change.

Breathing in,

Softening the face towards that idea.

Opening the heart to this truth.

This idea of change that you already know.

.

.

.

.

.

But in one way or another still holds a level of discomfort.

Because safety is what we're built to desire in many ways from being human.

So where are you offering yourself release?

How are you showing up brave for yourself?

For your future version?

And the past one too?

Letting it all be true because we know it can and will also change.

Being brave enough to hold all truths,

No matter the contradictions,

The discomfort,

The newness,

The staleness,

The weight.

Because being right is such a small thing.

Because being right removes us from the mystery.

Through this life,

Through these deaths,

We acknowledge the unknown that exists even in this experienced moment.

So what would it be like in your system today to soften into that unknown?

Maybe another deep breath.

Maybe another little mantra that feels true to you.

Maybe a relaxing of the mental grip you hold on expectation.

What would it be like in your system today to soften into that unknown?

Turns out that is what grace feels like.

There it is again.

Softening.

.

.

Softening.

.

.

Softening.

.

.

Into the forever unknown.

No matter how lived our lives,

The unknown is still there holding us graciously in the mystery.

And choosing something within you today that has been stirred.

That you'd like to offer more grace to just for today.

Bowing chin to chest,

Taking one more intentional deep breath with that pledge to self to hold in grace.

To allow change.

To allow the mystery to be here too.

And whenever you're ready to rejoin this new day,

You can lift the chin.

Welcome to today.

A day that has never even happened not once.

New.

We get to make our own rules today.

So today,

May we be free through our grace.
