Guided Affirmations Of Self-Worth
by Elena Lipson
Enjoy this guided meditation to connect with your inherent self-worth. Guided meditations are a great way to let yourself take a journey and make changes on a subconscious level. If you’re ready to slow down and affirm your worthiness, I invite you to take this time for you. I’d love to hear your thoughts after you listen.

In today's meditation,
We're going to focus on your fundamental self-worth.
Sometimes we have a false belief that self-worth has to be earned,
That we must act in a certain way,
We must prove our value,
We must offer something up in order to receive that which we desire.
The truth is,
You are worthy because you are.
Let's begin by getting centered and grounded into this very moment without trying to change it,
Adjust it,
Create it,
But just allow yourself to be exactly where you are and bring your attention and awareness to the quality of your breath.
Simply begin to notice if your breath is shallow,
If it's not deep enough to access that inner part of yourself that is waiting to be recognized.
And if that's the case,
Go ahead and gently invite your breath to go deeper,
Focusing mostly on the inhale,
Allowing the exhale to take care of itself.
Sometimes it helps to give yourself to the count of five on the inhale to remind you to slow it down and deepen.
Let's go ahead and do that together right now,
Taking three breaths in and out to the count of five on the inhale,
Allowing the exhale to take care of itself.
Now,
Continue breathing at your own pace.
If you haven't done so already,
Go ahead and gently close your eyes,
Allowing your body,
Your mind,
And your soul to focus inward.
Just notice what you're seeing,
Even though your eyes are closed,
And just acknowledge whether you're noticing any shadow or light.
Perhaps you're seeing some little specks of light bringing your attention inward,
Perhaps letting your eyes roll up gently,
Letting your mind know that you are about to explore your inner world and that you are safe to do so,
Slowing down your energy and your breath to access your inner wisdom,
Your inner worth.
From this place of attention and awareness on your breath,
An inward focus.
Let's begin to notice any tightness,
Constriction in your body by getting grounded into the moment,
Bringing your attention and awareness to the bottom of your feet.
Whether your feet are solidly on the ground or you're lying in bed or in a chair,
Just notice the bottom of your feet,
Relaxing,
Maybe wiggling your toes,
Letting your feet bring you into the present moment,
Giving a pulse of gratitude to the way your feet carry you in life,
Continuing to bring attention and awareness to your ankles,
Your calves,
Your shins,
Your thighs,
And then your legs as a whole.
Taking your legs for carrying you here and there through life,
For their strength,
For their support,
Even the spots that perhaps need some healing,
Some love,
Sending a little pulse of energy and gratitude,
Especially into those places that feel like they need some extra support.
Continuing on,
Bringing attention and awareness to your belly,
To your lower back,
Noticing any tension in your muscles,
In your bones,
Just allowing your breath to gently relax without changing,
Just inviting a sense of relaxation,
Allowing any tension to exit on the exhale,
Continuing to bring attention and awareness to your solar plexus,
Your middle back,
Your chest,
Upper back,
Shoulders,
Your arms,
Your hands,
And your fingers,
Just noticing how soothing it is to acknowledge the presence of each element of your body.
Sometimes we feel separated by parts,
Reminding yourself that you are whole,
That you are one in your body.
To unite all the parts is a crucial aspect of creating the habit of self-worth.
Continue focusing on your inhale as it invites energy and life and breath,
Bringing oxygen to your body,
Allowing a softening on your exhale.
If you're feeling the need or the desire to move your body in any way that feels good to you,
Whether it's a movement of your neck,
Fingers,
Your hips,
Allow yourself to follow that nudge.
Your body is wise and worthy and guiding you in all moments.
Our only job is to slow down enough to listen,
To hear,
To trust.
Bringing your attention and awareness finally to your neck,
Your scalp,
Your ears,
Your face,
Noticing any tension in your forehead,
Allowing it to melt like butter.
Any tension behind your eyes,
Allowing it to soften those tiny little muscles behind your eyes,
Working so hard every day to look,
To see,
To notice,
To judge,
To critique.
Just allow that energy to turn inward and just be with what is.
And finally,
Softening and relaxing the muscles of your mouth,
Your jaw,
Your tongue,
Perhaps part in your lips.
And from this place,
I invite you to find your center,
Your center.
Perhaps you feel centered in your belly right now,
Or maybe you're feeling centered in your heart.
Perhaps you're feeling a center in your mind,
Maybe your third eye,
Or somewhere in the middle of your head.
There's no right answer here.
Just notice where you're feeling centered.
Feeling that center allows us to get into balance,
And it might be different from day to day,
Sometimes even from moment to moment as you react,
Respond,
And adjust to the outside world.
From this place of center,
Putting one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly,
And still allowing yourself to move subtly or not so subtly if you feel the need to move your body.
Meditation can be active.
It can be passive.
It can be creative.
This is your journey.
Continuing to inhale and exhale that nourishing life force.
I invite you into a new set of beliefs,
A new way to perceive,
Receive,
And allow your own self-worth to lead in all aspects of your life.
You are worthy because you are.
I invite you to repeat after me for the next few moments,
Allowing yourself to first say the words,
But soon enough,
You will feel the words.
Notice any shift in your body as the words begin to feel more true because they are.
I am worthy because I am.
I am worthy of receiving all the good life has to offer.
There is nothing I have to do to get self-worth.
I was born worthy.
I am worthy because I am.
I am worthy of love.
I am worthy of the simple joys in life.
I am worthy of beautiful experiences.
I am worthy to create life on my own terms.
I am worthy because I am.
I am worthy because I am.
I am worthy because I am.
I am worthy because I am.
I am worthy because I am.
I am worthy because I am.
I am worthy because I am.
I am worthy because I am.
Now take a nice,
Deep,
Nourishing inhale and allow your exhale to be a sigh.
Take a moment to notice how you're feeling now versus a few moments ago when we first started.
I invite you to notice and receive the grounding,
The centering,
The deepening of your own self-worth.
Take some time to reflect,
Perhaps a few notes in your journal or a subtle smile on your face in recognition of your own self-worth.
Blessings on your day,
On your life.
So it is.
I'll see you next time.
