This meditation seeks to provide you with the opportunity to reconnect with the loved one you have lost.
Gently closing your eyes,
Sitting up with a straight spine or lying down if you prefer.
Inhale deeply through the nostrils,
Filling the belly.
Gently exhaling out the mouth.
Repeat 2 more times.
In your mind's eye,
See your departed loved one.
Let the image come to you rather than trying too hard to create it.
You might need to remember the particular smell that that person is linked to.
The perfume they would wear,
The type of laundry powder you could smell on their shirt,
Perhaps the smells of their workplace that they would bring home with them.
Inhale this smell deeply,
Allowing the connection with your loved one to thicken and grow.
Grow in depth.
See the face of your loved one.
Recall the shape and colour of their eyes.
Become aware of the emotion that is sparked within you.
Simply acknowledge that emotion.
Make it space.
Honour its appearance.
Recognise markings.
Features.
Worry lines or tattoos.
Any distinctive feature to reignite the memory of your loved one.
Make the ideal environment for you to sit down with your loved one right now.
You might like to remember one of their favourite places.
Perhaps a shared love for a place that you both had.
What is your loved one wearing?
Are they in clothes that they used to wear?
Whatever you intuitively see them in is perfect.
In your special place with your loved one.
Feel relaxed,
Safe and at peace.
There might be words that you wished you could have said to them before they left.
Now is a perfect time to convey those words and feelings.
This doesn't necessarily mean words will be spoken.
Intention,
Emotion and even thoughts can be conveyed in all manner of ways.
Perhaps you would like to give your loved one something.
A symbol of your feeling toward them.
A symbol of what they gave you.
A symbol of what you shared together.
Or perhaps it's through touch.
You might like to reach out your hand and place it gently on theirs.
Whatever you naturally feel compelled to do,
Do it.
If tears have surfaced,
Let them come.
These tears deserve to be released and acknowledged.
What other feelings might be coming up for you right now?
No doubt there is a range of mixed emotions.
Think about one of your most beautiful memories with this person or animal.
Allow a soft smile to cross your lips as you dive into a rich memory.
Great experience between the two of you.
Gently immerse yourself in this memory,
Using your senses if you wish.
Tap into the feeling that this memory creates within you.

Though your loved one is physically gone,
You will never be.
And now that you have created a metaphysical meeting place with your loved one.
There is nothing to stop you from reconnecting with them once more.

No touch that can't be given.
Your loved one lives on inside your heart.
Having conveyed your feelings to your loved one.
Having revisited a beautiful memory.
Notice how you feel in your body,
In your heart,
In your spirit.
There is nothing to stop you from reconnecting with your loved one in the near future.
In a place where your feelings can be honoured,
Your pain and longing for their return felt.
Your acceptance and gratitude for the time they spent in your life upheld.
Using your hands on your heart,
Inhale deeply.
Gently sigh out any residing feelings.
