Inside Timer community and welcome to this emotional freedom meditation.
My name is Elliot and I'm a meditation instructor currently in Melbourne,
Australia.
It's a privilege to be here with you on Inside Timer.
Let's find a quiet place to sit and do what you can to prevent distractions.
Settle into a cross-legged posture for this meditation with your hands open facing upward.
Or if you prefer to lie down you can make sure that your head is supported and your hands are at your sides with palms facing up.
If choosing a different posture ensure that relaxation and alertness are considered and try to maintain a straight back with its natural curves.
With the face slightly upturned allow your focus to rest between the eyebrows.
Then if you wish gently close the eyes and mouth leaving a space between the teeth and lips.
Feel your body.
Feel your body breathing.
Feel the breath breathing you.
Feel every cell in your body.
Feel the overall vibration of your entire body.
What do you feel like?
What quality of vibration are you picking up on?
Scan your body up and down.
Where do you feel tension?
Where do you feel joy?
Where do you feel pain?
Where do you feel at ease?
Where do you feel stiff?
Where do you feel tingling?
Where there is any sensation of unpleasantness send some loving attention to that particular part of the body and direct the breath into it using your body to feel it and your imagination to see it in your third eye.
Inhale and mentally repeat.
I choose love and light and liberation.
Exhale and mentally repeat.
I let go of that which obstructs my happiness.

We all come to moments in our lives where we have to decide what is important.
We can become enslaved by our own doing.
Our actions and thoughts and emotional landscape all become our place that we greet life from and if we get entangled with them we don't get to go very far from them and we suffer.
To avoid our troubled aloneness we talk.
We create a story to distract us from the real thing.
From what's happening.
From the pain.
You are presence.
You are now.
You are awareness.
You are a reflection of the universe.
Everything you will ever need and know is already built into your body.
We just have to be still and quiet to be it.
If you want to be totally free you must be able to handle freedom.
If we have not cultivated a certain amount of perception and stability we will suffer because we have attachments holding us back.
For clarity and strength visualize your spirit as an orb of light.
Choose whatever color that correlates with what you want to feel like.
Your spirit slightly expands upon the inhale and then shrinks upon the exhale.
As you breathe in you feel the orb of light expanding and as you exhale you feel the orb of light contracting.
Even though that you are represented as light you are shapeless,
Boundless,
Interwoven with the cosmos.
Your mind appears nearby as a glowing brain.
Just there.
A part of you.
Your peaceful body appears nearby just as you are right now.
Just there.
A part of you.
As you continue to breathe you notice how the mind and body are steadily moving further away from the orb of light.
You are radiating positive energy.
In each inhale you are generating a sweetness of emotion,
Love,
Interconnected with the universe.
Creating peaceful,
Joyful space around you from within.
Blissfully alone yet intimately connected in the vastness of space.
In the vastness of the universe.
You are alone now.
Yet you are connected with everything there ever was,
Will be,
And is.
You are alone now but you can find happiness here because you have nothing to fear.
You are tremendous potential at your core.
And while there have been faults along the journey,
The spirit,
The part of us that is eternal,
Will always be ready for blissfulness in aloneness.
It is only our mind and body that can distract us with pain.
Make friends with your pain and choose to go forward in light.
Breathe in,
Accepting your pain as the teacher.
Inhale and let go of all the darkness,
Doubt,
And shame.
Breathe in,
Accepting the way things are just as they are.
Inhale and be gentle towards yourself as you go forward,
Letting go.
We are choosing to rise above all that which weighs us down.
We breathe in,
Trusting life and becoming available to the grace of aloneness.
