If you feel tired and drained when you are around other people,

You may be taking on their energies.

If this happens often,

You are most likely what is known to be an empath.

Today you will receive two foundations to help you learn how to not take on and internalize other people's energies as your own,

And you will also receive an action meditation process to help you move in this direction with greater ease.

The first foundation to help free you from habits and patterns of taking on energies from other people is to understand the psychology of an empath which is most likely you if you are watching this video.

People who are empaths gravitate towards helping and making other people feel better,

And this in itself is a very special and honorable trait to have.

An empath is someone who is highly sensitive and has the ability to sense what people around them are thinking and feeling,

Often to the point of taking on the pain of others as if it were their own.

The qualities of being an empath are often cultivated as a result of empaths feeling unsafe at a pivotal time in their childhood.

The instability they experienced was so strong that they took some type of internal oath within themselves to ensure others don't go through what they may have gone through.

There are many benefits to being an empath.

Empaths tend to be excellent friends and are very loyal and they are excellent listeners.

They consistently show up for friends in times of need.

They are big hearted and generous.

Empaths also tend to be highly intuitive and emotionally intelligent.

However,

Some of the very qualities that make empaths such a helpful and healing presence in the lives of others can be hard on them and their well-being.

Because empaths quite literally feel what others are going through,

They can become overwhelmed by painful emotions such as anxiety,

Sadness,

Or anger.

Empaths have a tendency to take on the challenges of others as if it's their own.

It is often difficult for them to set boundaries for themselves and say no,

Even when too much is being asked of them,

To the point where it actually starts compromising their own health and well-being.

So an important step to freeing ourselves from taking on energies that make us feel drained and affect our well-being is simply to acknowledge and accept that it's happening.

The acknowledgement alone,

Meaning we have gotten clear on the empathic pattern and where it's coming from,

Helps us become willing to take the next step and do something about freeing ourselves from the unhealthy patterns of taking on other people's energy.

So the first foundation is to acknowledge and understand whether or not you are an empath and if you are,

How to fully embrace it and accept it so that we can move forward.

The second step to help free you from the habits and patterns of taking on energy from other people is to transform sympathy into compassion.

Many empaths feel drained and exhausted when they are around others because they are most likely sympathizing with them.

When we sympathize,

We are affirming to the person and experience we are sympathizing with and to ourselves the following,

1.

That they are broken in some way,

Which is us ultimately affirming that we are also broken because we are identifying with that belief,

2.

That they need to be fixed or saved in some way,

3.

That they need something outside of themselves to be whole,

4.

That they are separate from the universe and spirit itself.

The act of sympathy is caring for others with fear attached to it.

This approach only enables and perpetuates a person to believe that they are broken and need to be fixed.

I'm going to say that one more time.

This approach is not empowering,

Healing or helpful.

What is helpful is to transform sympathy into a higher vibration.

In this case,

We are going to transform sympathy into compassion.

Those who are empaths have cultivated a deep ability to love and care for others.

When the fear and illusion that were attached to one's ability to love and care for others is dropped,

Only compassion remains.

Compassion is the ability to love and care for the world around us in a way that has us recognize and see the patterns of pure perfection and wholeness within all of life itself.

Compassion is expressed love without any fear attached to it.

So sympathy is love with fear attached to it.

Compassion is love without any fear attached to it.

When we choose compassion,

We are able to see others as whole,

Happy,

Complete,

Healthy,

Even when they are unable to see it for themselves.

This approach is known as fourth dimensional thinking.

This is what many of the sages and teachers that came before us were able to do.

They were able to listen to,

Love and care for others without feeling sorry for them or without attaching any fears around it,

But rather in a way that elevates those around them in their own time to begin recognizing the wholeness within themselves.

As an empath,

You have the same exact ability.

All that is asked of you is to be willing to transcend the illusions of fear and separation that often go along with how you are caring and loving the world around you.

Compassion not only helps us to elevate and empower others to recognize their wholeness,

It helps us to remember our wholeness as well.

From here,

We are able to create healthy connections and friendships that no longer have us taking on energies that make us feel weighed down in any way.

We actually now become self-sustained love generators filled with peace,

Joy,

Ease and love.

So this feels like a great time to begin our action meditation process to help us become a compassionate lighthouse with ourselves and the world around us.

So go ahead and close your eyes.

Receive a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

Feel yourself relaxing into the chair,

The couch,

The bed,

Wherever you're sitting,

Let that object support you.

Let's receive another deep breath in.

And gently release.

Good.

Breath in.

And release.

So I invite you to think about a recent time where you found yourself feeling drained and tired after spending some time with a friend or a loved one or anytime you may have been chatting with them and you felt the same way.

Thinking about it,

We're simply bringing it into the present moment.

It's in the present where we are at our most powerful and where we can do and create miracles.

So let's bring that experience of you feeling drained and tired into this present moment so we can alchemize it.

So as you're reflecting on that experience,

I invite you to view it what you would perceive to be through the eyes of the universe.

The eyes of the universe have a more expanded aerial view and they only see wholeness and perfection.

So see yourself and see the friend or the family member that you experienced that drained energy with.

See them as whole and perfect through the eyes of the universe.

So I'm going to give you a few moments to do that now.

And if for any reason your mind tries to come up with distractions or excuses as to why you should not do this,

Thank your mind for trying to protect you because all it's doing is it knows something is changing and it just wants to feel safe.

So let's thank the mind and just gently bring your awareness back to being able to see through the eyes of the universe.

And now that we have seen through the eyes of the universe,

Let's send compassion to the part of ourselves that wanted to make other people feel better and just using the coping tools that we had to do that.

So let's send compassion to that part of ourselves now.

And let's also send compassion to the part of ourselves that simply forgot the divinity and the wholeness and the perfection within others.

Let's send love to the part of us that forgot.

Any part of us that felt sorry for or saw others as being less than in any way,

Let's just send love to that part of us.

And let's just send love to those experiences,

To all the people in those experiences,

Reminding them of their wholeness and perfection.

And let's express deep gratitude to yourself,

To your mind,

To your body,

To your spirit for all playing the perfect part to support this healing now.

And so it is.
