Relieving worries and doubts.
For this meditation please lie on your back,
On the floor or mat or your bed.
Support your head and under the knees with some pillows.
Your leg should be bended.
And whilst you get comfortable I explain a little bit about this meditation.
It is based on traditional Chinese medicine.
Where the spleen is paired with the stomach,
Together they form the earth element.
And they form your digestive system.
In TCM organ pairs are paired with emotions as well.
And lingering emotions may be stored in certain organs.
And for the spleen these are worries and doubts.
So this meditation helps you to start releasing any worries and doubts you may have been feeling.
Put one hand on the upper chest and one hand just under your ribcage so you can feel your diaphragm move with your breaths.
For a moment just observe your normal breathing,
Its length and depth and where it is located.
And then we do a breathing practice together,
Where you will breathe in through the nose a normal count of 1,
2.
And then out through the mouth with pursed lips as if you are whistling.
And you count from 1 up to 4 and actively engage your diaphragm on the exhales.
And you may do this 10 times and I will count the first 2 times to get you into it.
In preparation,
Normal breath in and fully out through the nose.
As we start breathing in through the nose,
1,
2,
Out through the mouth with pursed lips,
2,
3,
4.
In through the nose,
1,
2,
Out through the mouth,
1,
2,
3,
4.
Continue for another 8 rounds in your own tempo.
1,

If you need more time to complete 10 cycles kindly pause the recording.
If you have finished this project then I please encourage you to consider watching this video now.

The index and the pinky finger are stretched.
On the right hand,
Tip of the thumb touches the index and the middle finger,
Extending ring and pinky finger.
And then rest the hands beside the body.
Notice how you are feeling and connecting with the left side of the body.
To the left of the heart,
The lower part of your ribcage,
The location of your spleen.
And start breathing into the spleen,
Sending golden light into the spleen.
If you find it hard to picture golden light,
You expand the area of the spleen on the inhale and soften on the exhale.
Notice how this area of the body is feeling and what happens when you start breathing into it or sending that golden light.
And as I mentioned before,
The spleen is associated with worries and doubts.
So let's take a moment to reflect on our worries and doubts,
What comes to mind.
And see if you can observe your worries and doubts as if they do not belong to you,
As if you are an outside observer.
So you don't attach yourself,
You don't get carried away by any of the things that come to mind.
You just take note of the things that come to mind.
If at any point the mudra does not feel comfortable anymore,
Just release the hands and fingers and rest them beside the body.
Observe what happens within you when you reflect on your worries and doubts.
Again,
If you feel you may need a little bit longer here,
Just pause this recording.
Now in TCM they use sounds to relieve emotions that may be stored.
And for the spleen this is a sound of the wind,
Which I will demonstrate in just a moment.
After my demonstration you are invited to make the sound.
I will allow 2 minutes and you can make the sound continuously during this period.
Or you may want to make it just once,
5 times,
10 times,
Entirely up to you.
If you decided to stop before the time is up,
Just focus on your normal breathing.
The sound for the spleen is like the wind.
Play around with the volume,
The length of this sound.
Go ahead.
