Begin by settling in to a comfortable position,
Seated or lying,
Let your spine be straight and allow the body to be supported.
This is not a meditation of effort,
This is a meditation of receiving.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and take a long,
Unhurried exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in an easy breath,
A slow and slightly deeper breath in through your nose,
Releasing through the mouth,
Taking all the time that you need.
Let the breath deepen,
But let it do so naturally.
Breathing in through your nose,
Slightly deeper,
Slower inhale,
And a longer,
Easy exhale through your mouth.
Emotional fatigue can arise not because we are weak,
But because we have been present,
Caring,
Responsive.
In this meditation,
We are not analyzing that fatigue,
We are offering it care and awareness.
Bring your awareness to the center of your chest.
Without forcing sensation,
Just allow your awareness to gently come to rest right on your spine in your heart center.
Still easy,
Slightly deeper inhale through your nose,
Easy,
Slightly longer exhale through your mouth.
Now,
Imagine a gentle,
Steady current of healing energy as if ribbons of light are coming from above and below in all directions into your field.
This healing energy is neutral,
Intelligent,
And kind.
As you invite or receive this healing energy,
Notice that you do not need to direct it.
Simply allow it to move where it is needed.
Still easy,
Slightly deeper inhale.
With each breath in,
This energy flows in,
Meeting emotional tiredness with warmth and steadiness.
And exhale through the mouth with each breath out is a release.
If the body wants to sigh or soften or grow still,
Let it do so.
Welcoming in this energy on the inhale,
Nothing to do,
Nothing to direct,
Just simply connect your consciousness with it and allow it to flow where it needs to go.
And as you exhale,
Just as the energy is coming in from all directions,
You can release it out of your field in all directions.
Allow the face to relax.
Loosen your jaw,
The space behind the eyes.
Breathing in,
Receiving this healing energy,
This gentle,
Steady ribbons of light,
Neutral,
Intelligent,
And kind.
Receive it as you breathe in,
And as you breathe out,
There's a release.
And let any emotional effort be released with the exhale.
As though you're being quietly held by these healing energies.
There is nothing required of you in this moment.
Just simply staying with the breath,
Breathing in,
Receiving this energy,
This gentle,
Steady ribbons and currents of healing energy coming into your field and into your body from all directions.
Breathing out,
Releasing whatever is ready to be released.
As the healing continues,
Notice any subtle shifts.
Maybe a sense of being replenished,
A sense of being quietly held,
Or simply less burdened.
Trust that healing continues beyond conscious awareness.
And we'll take a few more breaths here.
Inhale,
Receive this healing energy,
These ribbons of warm,
Gentle light.
Allow them to flow wherever they need to flow,
And as you exhale,
Let it be a release,
Known and unknown,
Of whatever is ready to be released.
Easy breath in through the nose,
Releasing through the mouth.
When you feel ready,
Begin to return slowly.
Eyes still closed,
Bring your awareness into your physical body.
