Day 15,
Releasing negative emotions.
Sit or lie in a comfortable position and place your hands on your lap,
Palms facing upwards,
Ready to receive or by your side.
Taking a deep breath in and relax as you release the breath.
Negative emotions have a purpose in teaching us to pay attention.
Without negative emotions,
The positive emotions would be diminished.
I have always encouraged tears.
Tears release pent-up frustration,
Hurt and pain.
Tears wash us clean,
Help us to learn that because of negative emotions,
Help us to learn that because there is pain in life,
There is also soothing,
Loving calm.
Tears transform us and enable us to reset our goals.
Soothing tears release oxytocin and endorphins that make us feel good.
There is no failure,
Only feedback.
Sadness will help you pay more attention to detail.
Anger can be a strong motivator to seek mediation.
Anxiety encourages new ways of approaching problems and challenges.
Guilt helps you change negative behaviors.
Jealousy motivates you to work harder.
Notice these states without attachment,
Without dwelling on or letting them take over.
Know that it's okay.
It's okay to let them be there and let them be expressed.
You have the power to take these emotions and transform the energy to positivity.
Take a deep breath in and hold it.
Think of hate.
Think of hate.
Observe it as you hold the breath.
Where does it sit in your body?
And as you release the breath,
Think of love and where do you feel it in the body?
Take another deep breath in and hold it and think of anger.
And where do you feel it in your body?
Where does it sit?
Observe it as you hold the breath.
And as you release the breath,
Observe forgiveness and notice where forgiveness sits in the body.
Take another deep breath in and hold it as you think of jealousy.
Where do you feel it in the body?
Observe it and allow it to be there as you hold the breath.
And then release the breath.
Think of gratitude and well wishes.
Release the breath.
Where do these senses sit?
And feel it in the body.
Take another deep breath in and hold it as you do.
Think of sadness.
Notice where sadness sits in the body.
As you hold the breath,
Observe it.
And now as you release the breath,
Smile and notice the lightness and the change of feeling of happiness.
Where does happiness sit in the body?
Now as you scan the body,
Notice the points where positivity sits.
Focus on those points of positivity.
Turn up the vibration of this positivity like you are turning up the volume.
Relax here and give gratitude for this time.
Let go and preserve the lessons.
