Day 5,

Sitting with Fear Overcoming fears means that great otherwise unforeseen opportunities might come our way.

Perhaps a new job,

A new relationship or a new learning experience.

Overcoming fears forces us to learn and embrace risk taking that also helps us to overcome a fear of failure.

We learn from our fears to make safer choices and decisions.

What is it that you are afraid of?

Bring it into this meditation so that you can observe it and allow it to be as it is,

A thought of fear.

Simply let it be here.

Let us begin.

Sit upright in a comfortable position.

Place your hands facing upwards on your lap ready to receive.

Open your chest and take the breath into your lungs,

Relaxing back into this meditation.

Focus on the notion of fear.

What is it that you are afraid of that you want to explore in the next 5 minutes?

Is it a fear of the unknown?

Is it a fear of failure?

A fear of imperfection?

That you are not good enough?

Is it a fear of the inevitable and the inability to let go?

A fear of comparisons?

What fear do you bring?

In what way does this fear come to be?

Allow the fear to be here.

What is it?

If it was something tangible,

What would it look like?

Where does the fear live in your body?

Where do you feel it?

Notice where it is in your body.

Observe the sensations of this feeling with a curiosity.

Place your right hand on the part of your body where you feel this fear.

Take a deep breath,

Directing the breath into this space,

Holding for 5 seconds.

Then release the breath.

With your hand placed on the area where you feel the fear,

Take another deep breath in,

Holding it for another 5 seconds.

Then release the breath.

And again,

Take another deep breath into the area where your body holds fear,

Holding it for another 5 seconds.

And release the breath.

Release the hand.

Notice if anything's changed.

Does it feel different?

What is it about this fear that is good,

Positive?

How might you see this fear differently?

Allow it to be here without attachment.

Simply observe it.

Stay in the present moment as the imagined fear is in our mind.

Stay with the here and now.

Allow the breath to come in.

And as you breathe out,

Imagine the fear being released from your body like tiny,

Colorful helium balloons of bubbles releasing out and into the universe,

Transformed as positive potential for alternative states of being.

Focus on your body.

Take your hands to your face.

Touch your face.

Awaken your body.

Open your eyes.

It's okay for you to be aware which
