This end-of-the-day gratitude practice is a guided meditation to allow you to look back on the day and give thanks and gratitude for all that has taken place. The practice of gratitude gives us more to be grateful for. Journalling even a few things that you are grateful for each day is a wonderful end-of-day practice. This practice invites us to give thanks for even the smallest things that have happened throughout the day.

This is a beautiful gratitude practice for the end of the day.

So just taking a moment to take a nice big full beautiful deep breath in.

And firstly just to give thanks for the breath,

For the prana,

The chi,

The life force that is present in your body.

And we're just going to gaze over the day that has been.

The many moments that make up the day,

The hours,

The minutes,

The seconds.

And as we prepare for sleep we're just going to take time to reflect on what we are grateful for in this day.

To give appreciation because as we give appreciation and thanks we have more of that to give appreciation and thanks for.

That's a universal law.

So just allowing your mind to come back through the day.

To wind back to the beginning of the day when you woke up.

And to give appreciation to your body first of all.

For waking up,

For being here,

For being in this experience of deep contrast.

Giving appreciation to your soul,

For showing up,

For being here even when it's hard sometimes.

Giving yourself deep gratitude and appreciation.

And just witnessing and observing yourself through the day as you move throughout the day in whatever way you did.

Offering yourself gentle compassionate gratitude for all that you did or didn't do.

Just allowing yourself to see yourself as if you're watching from a bird's eye perspective.

Just seeing your morning this morning.

Giving appreciation and thanks maybe for that beautiful cup of tea or coffee or hot chocolate cacao.

The food that you ate throughout the day.

Giving thanks and blessings for the clothes that you wore.

For the feeling of the soft blankets as you were in bed this morning.

For any movement or exercise you might have taken or not taken.

For the way that your body moved throughout the day.

A deep sense of appreciation for your heart that beats in your chest.

For your amazing digestive system.

For your incredible body that moves throughout this day.

For the way that your body automatically breathes without you thinking.

And then gazing and thinking of any interactions you may have had.

Whether they were in person,

Online,

Connections.

Just taking a moment to remember.

And if it wasn't with another maybe it was a connection with nature,

An animal or with yourself,

A book,

A television program.

Just allowing yourself to give blessings and thanks for those interactions be they small or bigger.

Maybe it was a shared glance with the cashier.

Maybe it was a moment of laughter with a stranger.

Or a moment of just catching someone's eye.

Doesn't have to be big.

Just deep appreciation as we gaze back over the day.

Just taking a moment to find those moments.

Whatever they are for you and it doesn't matter how big or how small.

Maybe it was just an appreciation for the comfortable chair you sat on.

Maybe it was an appreciation for your computer or your phone,

Technology,

Connection,

Whatever it might have been.

Just thinking about the things that you really might not have noticed.

They may have escaped your notice and maybe they escape your notice every day.

Just taking that quiet time to appreciate.

And then feeling with all of your senses,

Feeling,

Remembering,

Remembering with all your senses,

Taste,

Sight,

Sound,

Smell.

Really allowing yourself to feel the feelings,

The emotional response within that deep gratitude and allowing yourself to go back to those points in the day,

Anchor points.

And to relish,

To relive and relish those things that happened.

To be present,

Present and aware.

Present and aware and grateful.

Present and aware,

Grateful and appreciative for all that was within the day.

This act of gratitude is deeply,

Deeply rewarding and brings with it more and more and more to be grateful for.

I'm so grateful for you taking this practice and I'm sending you blessings.

That was such a beautiful, refreshing and thoughtful way to look back on my day to realise how much I enjoyed it and achieved comfortably. I even exceeded my exercise goal. I’m just so thrilled that I did this and a number of other things whilst dealing with chronic exhaustion and the stress that comes with it. πŸ™πŸ» πŸ™πŸ» πŸ™πŸ» πŸ™πŸ» πŸ™πŸ»
