Thank you for showing up for yourself.

This meditation focuses on the importance of discipline.

To begin,

Find a comfortable way of being.

Whether it's laying down,

Sitting in a chair,

Or on the ground,

Relax and take the deepest breath you've taken all day,

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

As you sink deeper into a state of relaxation,

Let your mind focus on the concept of discipline.

Discipline is the practice of consistency,

Of committing to a goal and working towards it every day.

It's the ability to resist temptation and stay true to your path,

Even when faced with obstacles or distractions.

Discipline helps guide the way towards personal achievement,

And meditation is a great place to practice discipline,

As it's a ritual that you must make the choice to come back to over and over,

Even through the whirlwind of life all around you.

In the meditation,

Your discipline is to anchor yourself to your own breath,

To notice your form,

Your posture,

And your thoughts,

And to let go of resistance and temptation to go elsewhere.

Take a few breaths here,

Noticing your own rhythm,

Relaxing into the moment,

Deeper and deeper.

I invite you to think about an area of your life where you would like to cultivate more discipline.

Maybe it's your work,

Your health,

Your relationships,

Or your spiritual practice.

You might visualize yourself taking small,

Consistent steps towards your goal.

See yourself making a plan,

Setting priorities,

And sticking to them.

When you feel the sense of accomplishment that comes with each small victory,

Fuel your motivation to keep going.

And as you breathe deeply and focus on discipline as it relates to your life,

Remember that it's not all about perfection or rigid control.

It's about finding a balance between structure and flexibility,

Between pushing yourself and practicing self-compassion.

Take another deep breath in and exhale slowly,

Feeling the sense of calm and clarity that comes with the structure of personal discipline.

Feel ready.

Bring this awareness and intention,

Taking it with you as you continue your day and with small steps towards the life that you desire.
