Hi,

This is Guy and together we're going to look at the 25th key in our 31 keys to change your destiny.

This one's called Follow Your Heart,

Not Your Head.

If you want to write something down,

You might want to write down this short little sentence,

Because within it is contained a great secret not only about how we can be content with ourselves in even the most conflicted moments,

But how we can use those moments as we discussed in the last key to put ourselves in relationship with a completely different kind of strength that's fearless.

So here's the sentence.

Be who you are,

Not what you want to be.

Let me repeat it.

Be who you are,

Not what you want to be.

So many times in our life we meet moments where there comes a certain idea that if we could do this or get that,

Win this approval,

Get that achievement somewhere down the line,

That through that kind of prosperity we would be perfected as a human being,

That we would have the life we want,

But,

And we all know the truth of this,

The things that we get from this world that we want from it are actually quite powerless to change the way we feel when those same things are threatened or taken away from us.

And then we find ourselves back at the starting place again trying to figure out what we want in order to feel good about ourselves instead of understanding this magnificent truth that who you already are,

Your true being,

Doesn't need to look for one thing outside of itself in order to be completely content with itself and the life that it is being given moment to moment.

We cannot think ourselves into happiness,

But we can sync ourselves with a single dark thought that appears when something that we had thought was ours is suddenly shown that it wasn't at all.

Those wonderfully right and bright emotions,

The ones that we all know are good when we see something beautiful,

When we feel some kind of joy because life has shown us something that makes us feel true and good about ourselves,

Those emotions spring right from our heart.

But those heavy feelings,

The ones that make us feel inadequate,

Small like we talked about before,

Those kind of feelings can't exist without us being caught inside of a web of negative thoughts that are the creation of a mind that went looking for what it wanted to be instead of our understanding that who we are is already complete.

If we can understand any of it,

It means that those sad states,

Those thoughts and feelings that want to drag us down,

They're a trick of the mind.

That's all they are.

I know it's hard to grasp,

But we can begin to see through these thoughts and feelings that want to diminish us,

Those fearful and worried moments that suddenly seem to take from us all that we had won.

And instead of clinging to what we've never been able to keep,

We can let go and in that same moment see the difference between our head and our heart.

And as we're able to do that,

We'll know what it means to follow our heart and not our head.

There's great power in this and I can't wait for you to discover it.

We'll pick up on this last key in the 26th key coming up right away.

It's called look up and that's what we're going to learn to do when things start looking down because we're looking at the moment through the eyes of our head,

The eyes of something in us that wanted to be made whole and that instead found itself drawn into a whole because of a wrong and mistaken idea about who we are.

See you soon.

Thanks for joining me.
