Welcome to a meditation for the water element.
Invite yourself into a comfortable seat.
Notice what's touching down and plug into the earth.
And at the same time reach up to the heavens.
Draw your ears back.
So head is over shoulders,
Shoulders over hips.
And just invite your hands to have your thumbs and your pinkies touching on both hands.
Jala mudra,
Water mudra.
And as you do this find a smile on your face,
Just happy that you're taking care of you.
With the intention of letting things flow.
So imagine energy like a waterfall right above the crown of your head.
Let it just drip into the crown of the head,
Through the mind,
Down through the heart.
Cascading down through all your organs,
Through your kidneys.
Cascading down through your hips,
Down through your legs,
Your knees,
Your ankles and out the bottoms of your feet.
You're still plugging in and reaching up.
You still have that smile on your face but you're just visualizing as you begin.
Just a healing waterfall that cascades down from head to heart.
From heart to hips.
From hips to heels.
Again,
Noticing the ground,
The earth,
Noticing the sky,
The heavens.
Imagine healing water just opening up the crown of the head.
Cascading down all the way down through your ears,
Through your throat,
Through your shoulders,
Down through your arms and your hands.
Your fingertips cascading down through your heart,
Through all the layers of the back,
All your organs,
Through your hips,
Down through your knees,
Your ankles and out your feet.
And then begin to notice the body breathing you.
And you notice that energy just comes in.
And energy just goes out.
We are a part of something so much greater than us.
And this meditation is designed to help you feel part of something greater than you.
To be in the endurance which is the virtue of water.
And to let go of any fears.
So as you begin,
Take a big breath in and imagine the blue sky inhaling in through the crown of the head and down through the torso.
And let yourself exhale out to the earth,
The golden earth.
And then as you inhale,
You draw that golden energy of the earth from the tailbone up through the spine,
All the way up through the crown.
And you exhale out to that blue sky,
To the heavens,
To something greater.
Still with that smile on your face,
Take a big breath in through the nostrils and visualize blue sky in your mind.
You want to keep the water above and the fire below in Chinese medicine.
So that blue sky in the mind and it heads downward,
Cascades downward through the body,
Through the tailbone.
And as you exhale,
It travels out to the earth and around you into that earth energy,
That mother earth grounded place.
And then as you inhale,
You draw that grounded healing abundance of the earth.
Let's try from the bottom to the feet where the kidney meridian starts through the legs,
Through the inseam of the legs,
All the way up through into the mind,
That golden light.
Then exhale,
Let it cascade around you,
Smile on your face,
Part of that energy all around you.
And take a big breath in and imagine that blue sky in through the mind and down through the tailbone,
Out through the feet,
Exhaling into the earth.
And then you inhale that golden chief in the bottoms of the feet,
The inseams of the legs up through the body right into the mind.
And exhale out that blue sky,
That open space.
So take a big breath in for a count of four,
Blue sky in the mind,
Down through the body.
Exhale for a count of four,
Out through the earth,
Connecting to that grounded place.
Inhale for a count of four,
All the way up from the earth,
All the way up through the mind to the clarity.
And then exhale,
Expand out around you.
Let's do it together with a count.
So exhale everything out.
Inhaling blue sky down,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale out to the earth,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale that earth energy up,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale out and beyond,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhaling that energy around you,
In through the mind,
Down through the tailbone,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale out to the earth,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale that earth energy,
Grounded chi up through the mind,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And exhale out to the heavens,
Three,
Two,
One.
On your own,
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Two more times,
Inhale the sky down to the earth.
Exhale to the earth.
Healing energy up.
Let it travel out.
Last one,
Energy comes in and down.
Radiate down.
Draw it in and up.
Connect to something greater.
And then just let yourself pause.
Can you feel the prana,
The chi,
The energy that's in your body?
Can you know that you are grounded and open?
Just like a lotus flower,
No mud,
No lotus.
We need the ground in order to feel safe,
To open up.
As you complete your practice,
Take your hands and rub them together.
Feel all that energy that you're a part of.
And then pause and just separate your hands just a little bit.
Feel the energy in between your hands.
Everything you touch is part of that healing energy.
So as you draw your palms together and bow to that healing heart,
Just set your intention for your day,
For your night,
For wherever you are.
Whatever it is you want to draw in from the universe,
You breathe that into every cell.
Whatever you want to give out to the earth,
You let it radiate out.
Draw in that healing energy from the earth,
Let it travel up into your mind.
And know you are part of something greater.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
