Most humans are inclined to beat themselves up for everything they did or didn't do. Cultivating self-compassion is a powerful practice that can help you develop a kinder and more nurturing relationship with yourself. Be kind to yourself and life will be easier.

Hello dear friend.

Life is made up of tiny little moments like this one.

And to honour your experience,

You deserve to give yourself a moment or two a day,

Practicing self-love and self-compassion.

But when to do that,

When you have so many things to do on your never-ending to-do list?

Take a deep breath and release.

Perhaps today is the day when you feel it's about time to honour your body and your feelings.

So let's begin by noticing your posture.

And without adjusting or moving your body,

Take a deep breath in and notice how you feel.

Now I invite you to adjust your posture.

Sit up nice and tall,

Relaxing the neck and shoulders.

Rest your hands softly in your lap and slowly allow your eyelids to rest and cover up your eyes.

Take a deep breath in and notice how you feel now.

There is never a better time like the present time.

Take this moment to align yourself with your true self,

Authentic self,

That speck of light and energy that was there before you came into this body.

And it will be here after you are leaving your physical body.

Align your energy and vibration with the energy and vibration of life and spirit.

Slow down your mind,

Slow down your thoughts,

Slow down your breathing.

Begin by setting an intention for your practice.

Choose one word that reflects how you would like to feel.

Begin by just being.

Just being present.

Just being in your body rather than your head.

Hold space for you to just be.

Calming down the volume in your head and listen to your heart.

Listen beyond the words.

Listen to your feelings,

Emotions and sensations.

Listen to your gut,

Your intuition,

That place inside you that knows more than you do.

And it's guiding you when you allow it.

Step back from all the things you feel you want to do,

Like fixing the problems,

Interacting with your thoughts,

Changing your thoughts,

Changing others,

Fixing others.

Slowly follow your breath.

Listen to your breath.

Observe yourself doing just that.

Let the beautiful silence wash over you.

Sit with the silence.

Pay attention on how silence wants to communicate with you.

It's hard to hear when there is a lot of noise.

Inner noise,

Outer noise.

We can only listen in silence.

Drop into the silence bubble.

Feel the silence.

Taste the silence.

Sense the silence.

Relax your body and make a conscious effort to connect with your heart space.

Feel the love that's there for you and for the whole world.

Notice if it feels easy for you to connect with the love inside you or if there is some resistance.

Take a breath and choose to forgive the person that has wronged you.

Activate the compassion muscle for yourself and others.

Inhale and relax your body from your head all the way down to the tips of your toes.

Go through each and every muscle in your neck.

Relax and release any tension,

Pain or discomfort.

Decompress your shoulders.

Allow the weight of your shoulders to fall off gradually.

If the weight is still unbearable,

I invite you to step back and focus your awareness on your breath and bodily sensations.

Keep breathing in and out,

Going deeper and deeper with every breath.

As you reach your inner self,

Notice what you see.

Perhaps a beautiful kid who had a burning desire to live fully and gracefully in every moment,

Who deeply wanted to inspire others.

Or perhaps a kid who wanted to acknowledge his uniqueness and authenticity,

Who wanted to feel passion in every endeavor.

Or perhaps a kid who sometimes failed and sometimes made many mistakes,

Who wanted to succeed just to prove his value and worth.

Take a deep breath and release.

Notice what do you feel inside yourself for this little kid.

Extend your love and compassion to this child and tell him or her that they deserve love and compassion.

Everything will be okay and life is for learning.

Being harsh on ourselves only puts us down and minimizes our chances to grow,

Evolve and develop.

No one navigates the life journey without making mistakes.

Be kind to yourself.

Be compassionate to yourself.

Be loving to yourself.

You are pure consciousness in physical body.

Love that pure consciousness.

Be compassionate to that pure consciousness.

You deserve it.

If we hold on to the belief that we don't deserve to be loving and compassionate towards ourselves,

Then the mind will be asking for ways to prove that belief.

So it's up to us how we value and appreciate ourselves.

Let's take a few closing breaths together.

Breathe in love.

Breathe out love.

Breathe in compassion.

Breathe out compassion.

Breathe in love.

Breathe out love.

Breathe in compassion.

Breathe out compassion.

Breathe in love.

Breathe out love.

Breathe in compassion.

Breathe out compassion.
