Welcome,
I'm so glad you're here.
This practice is an invitation to slow the journey,
To soften the edges of the day and to savor the love that lives beneath everything.
Take a gentle breath in and exhale fully.
Allow yourself to arrive.
Feel your body supported beneath you.
Feel the warmth of the room,
The quiet around you,
The steadiness underneath your hands or your legs.
Let your inhalation lengthen just a little and let your exhale loosen something inside you.
If your mind is busy,
Let it be busy.
You don't need to silence anything.
Just notice the landscape within and breathe through it.
Place one hand on your heart if you'd like.
Feel the gentle rise and fall,
Feel the rhythm that has carried you your whole life without asking for anything in return.
Imagine your life is a pathway,
A winding trail through forests and sunlight and shadow.
Every step has brought you to this moment and right now you,
You get to slow down.
With your next breath,
Picture allowing yourself to walk this path with softness.
No rushing,
No pushing,
Just presence.
Each inhale arriving,
Each exhale letting go.
Each inhale arriving,
Each exhale letting go.
Each inhale arriving,
Each exhale letting go.
You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed rest.
You are allowed to savor where you are.
Now allow yourself two minutes to focus on your breath.
With each breath,
Each inhale arriving and each exhale letting go.
Follow your own breath.
Bring into mind someone or something that brings a steady,
Warm love into your life.
It could be a person,
A memory,
A pet,
A place,
A moment you return to.
And let that presence draw close.
Feel how your body shifts as this love comes into awareness.
The softening,
The warmth,
The little expansion in your chest.
Like a light turning on from the inside.
Breathe with that love.
Let it fill the acres of your inner space.
Let it move through your shoulders,
Through your arms,
Through your belly,
Through your spine,
Through your whole heart.
You are held in this love.
You are nourished by this love.
Stay in this space for two minutes.
Breathing in this love.
Holding it in your being.
Being nourished,
Wrapped in this love.
Savor it.
Let gratitude rise naturally.
Not forced,
Not shaped,
Just allowed.
This is one thing.
What is one thing,
Just one,
That you feel grateful for now?
Let that gratitude settle in your body like a soft blanket.
Let it hold you.
Let it warm you,
Support you.
Breathe in and breathe it out.
Let gratitude be a gentle return home.
So on the inhale,
We breathe in gratitude.
And on the exhale,
We breathe out gratitude.
On the inhale,
We breathe in gratitude.
On the exhale,
We breathe out gratitude.
On the inhale,
We breathe in.
On the exhale,
We breathe out.
I allow this gratitude to be a gentle return home.
Let's take a final deep breath in.
And exhale slowly.
Feel your body here.
Feel your breath here.
Feel love.
Feel gratitude.
Woven through your entire being.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes or simply remain here,
Resting for as long as you need.
Thank you for practicing with me.
May love meet you in every step of your journey.
And may you fully savor it.
