Welcome to this new moon meditation.

I'm Helen and I'm honored to have you on this journey with me.

For this meditation we will be using water.

If you can please have a little bowl or a cup or mug of water available nearby.

And if you need to press pause so you can go and fetch that please do so.

I will be here when you get back.

Okay so now that you have your bowl or a cup of water nearby and you are in your comfortable position let's just take a few moments of bringing even more comfort into the body,

Into the mind.

Allowing the eyes to settle and close.

Let all the muscles in the body relax down.

Facial muscles relaxing.

Eyelids are heavy.

Jaw eases out.

Thoughts move further and further and further away.

Taking a moment now to be aware of your whole body.

Now becoming aware of space around the body.

And let's move our attention further away from the body.

Just noticing that space between your physical body and the point.

Where you are taking your attention to.

Let's move our attention upwards.

Moving up up into the sky.

Towards the moon.

And there is just this gentle slight sliver of light around the one side of the moon.

Showing us the new moon.

Letting us know that we are in the start of a new cycle.

And as the new moon gently starts to wax and grow,

Let us use this fertile time to grow and grow.

Our self-love.

Let's breathe into that.

Relax the body with that,

Around that.

And very softly,

If you can reach for your cup or little bowl of water.

And bring that close to your body so that you can hold that neck to it.

Take a moment to sense the water in the bowl.

And now we're going to move our attention to our own self.

To our own water,

Our waters within.

The water is where the memory resides.

Bring forth memories now of your life.

Perhaps memories from childhood.

Joyful times with loved ones.

Experiences that you hold dear to your heart.

Memories that make you feel alive.

And as you continue to connect with your bowl of water,

Take your attention now to acknowledging you,

Your strengths,

Your gifts,

Your wisdom.

How has that shown up in your life?

Breathe into that acknowledgment.

As you breathe out,

Breathe out into the bowl of water you are holding.

Breathing in the acknowledgment for all of who you are.

And force yourself to acknowledge that.

As you remember,

You reflect on moments that highlight your beauty,

Your love.

Qualities that others admire.

Then exhale that and send that into the water with you.

And let's repeat that a few times.

Breathing in the acknowledgment of you.

And then pausing the breath to hold a memory in your heart that highlights you.

And releasing that into the water.

Breathing in the acknowledgment.

See,

Feel,

Remember.

Exhale and send out.

And again.

And again.

And once more.

And now let that settle.

Relaxing the breath,

The focus.

And now for the next three minutes.

If you can internally cycle a gentle mantra for yourself.

Along the lines of,

I allow myself to love myself.

Or perhaps I choose to love me.

Or maybe I love loving myself.

Make it your own.

Add your own flavor.

Now that you have got your mantra,

Slowly repeat it for the next three minutes.

While I watch the time.

Slowly bringing your mantra to a close as you release that.

And let all attention just be quietly on the whole body,

On the breath.

Gently moving different areas of the body.

And very slowly starting to open up the eyes,

Taking the eyes and the gaze in the direction of the water.

And as you lovingly look at this water that you have been filling with your love for yourself.

You.

Please now take a sip of this beautifully charged water.

Notice how it tastes,

How it feels.

And then in a few minutes time,

Whenever you are ready.

You can take the remaining water and gently pour it onto a plant or you can place it in a container with some shells,

With some stones,

Some crystals,

And let the plant or your container of jewels swimming in your water of love.

Let these be your reminder of your beauty and may you continue to use this mantra,

Trust it.

To experience it day after day.

If you feel that you still need some time in integration,

Take as long as you need.

Or if you are ready to go and water that plant,

Then please do so.

And thank you for journeying with me through this experience of self-love at this beautiful time of our new moon.

I wish for you a peaceful cycle through this lunar process and until the next new moon,

You take care.
