As we move through our deep healing journey,
It's time to surrender to a period of deep rest and absorption.
Let us transition to Savasana,
Often referred to as the corpse pose,
Symbolizing the death of old ways of being and a rebirth of new,
More aligned states of consciousness.
Gently lay yourself down on your back,
Extending your legs and allowing them to fall open naturally,
Freeing any tension from your hips,
Resting your arms by your sides,
Palms open to the sky,
A symbol of your openness to receive.
Close your eyes and breathe deeply,
Surrendering to the embrace of rest.
We will now proceed to our progressive muscle relaxation.
Progressive muscle relaxation,
Starting from your toes,
Gradually make your way up,
Consciously releasing tension from each muscle group.
Allow your lower body,
Your abdomen,
Chest and shoulders to relax,
Letting go of any residual stress.
Soften your facial muscles,
Unclench your jaw,
Release tension from your forehead and your scalp and sink deeper into a state of absolute tranquility.
Perform another body scan,
Ensuring that each part of your body is in a state of relaxation,
Starting from your toes,
Up towards your knees,
And your thighs,
Your hips,
Your lower back,
Your abdomen,
Your chest,
Your upper back,
Your shoulders,
Your jaw,
And your face.
As you rest,
Focus on your breathing as we move into the mindful breathing portion of our rest period.
Without trying to modify it or force your breath,
Simply become aware of your inhale and your exhale.
Observe the rhythm of your inhales and your exhales,
Allowing each breath to lull you into deeper relaxation.
When thoughts arise,
Simply acknowledge them and gently guide your focus back to your breath.
Remain in this restful state for five to ten minutes,
Or longer if you wish.
Let the earth fully support you.
Trust in the healing power of rest.
Feel cradled in the loving arms of the universe,
Experiencing a profound sense of safety,
Peace,
And serenity.
When you feel ready,
Slowly begin to awaken your body from this deep restful state.
Start by deepening your breath,
Wiggling your fingers and your toes.
Maybe stretch your arms over your head,
Extend your legs,
Feeling the sensations of rejuvenation.
Maybe gently roll onto one side taking a moment to express gratitude for this transformative journey you've embarked on.
When you are ready,
Push yourself up to a seated position and open your eyes,
Ready to carry this renewed sense of energy and inner peace into the world.
As we part,
I encourage you to take it easy for the rest of the day.
If you are able,
Honour your body's need for rest,
Especially after such an intense and transformative session.
Drink plenty of water to flush out any toxins that may have been released.
Light movement or stretching,
Such as yoga or a gentle walk,
Can help your body continue its process of release.
Journaling about your experiences can provide a valuable tool for reflection and processing.
Prioritize self-care and consider joining us back here for more meditations and guided exercises if you found today's practice beneficial.
Thank you for sharing this sacred journey with me.
May the healing power of rest continue to nurture you and until we meet again,
Namaste.
