Welcome to House of Wellbeing.

This guided meditation audio will use powerful techniques to help you sink into a deep state of relaxation.

So please be sure that wherever you're listening to this audio you're in a safe and comfortable place free from distractions where you can fully relax and let go.

Please make sure you're sitting or lying comfortably in a place where you're free from interruptions where you can focus only on yourself and enjoy this time just for you.

Should you need to open your eyes at any time your subconscious mind will alert you and you'll easily come out of this beautiful state of relaxation.

But for now make sure your head is fully supported and that you're as comfortable as you can be as you gently close your eyes and begin your journey of enhanced physical and mental well-being.

Now I'd like you to take a long deep breath in.

And hold it for the count of four.

And then breathe out to the count of six.

Once again take a long deep breath in for the count of four.

And hold it for the count of four.

When you're ready breathe out to the count of six.

And you can allow your breathing to return to your normal breathing rate now.

Gentle breaths in and out.

You may start to feel your muscles releasing as you sink into the frame of your body.

Comfortably.

Heavily.

And peacefully.

This is your time to relax now.

Your time just for you.

And as your relaxation deepens more and more.

You can let your mind wander to the top of a beautiful staircase with ten steps leading down.

And at the bottom of this staircase is your favourite place of calm and relaxation.

Maybe it's a beautiful beach.

Or a garden.

Or a place in nature.

You look at the steps and notice how beautiful the staircase is.

The steps are handcrafted.

And the detail in the design is truly magnificent.

There's a firm handrail to your left.

In a moment I'd like you to imagine yourself walking down the steps one at a time.

As I count them down one by one.

And you realise that you get more and more relaxed with every step you take.

More and more comfortable with each step you take.

As I count them off.

So when you're ready to walk down the steps.

I want you to gently place your hand on the handrail.

And begin to slowly go down the steps as I count them off from ten to one.

Let's start.

Ten.

Deeply relaxed.

So comfortable.

Nine.

Another step down.

More and more relaxed now.

Eight.

Each step leading you further and further into relaxation.

Seven.

Deeply relaxed.

Deeply comfortable.

Six.

Each muscle releasing now.

Five.

More and more and more relaxed.

Four.

Almost at the bottom now.

Going down and down.

Three.

So comfortable.

So relaxed.

Sinking.

And sinking.

Two.

Almost at the bottom now.

Just one more step to go.

And one all the way down into total relaxation now.

And as you reach the bottom of the steps you let go of the handrail.

And you let go of any worries or concerns.

You are now standing at the bottom of the steps in your place of nature.

In your place of calmness and relaxation.

So relaxed and at ease.

This is your time just for you.

You allow yourself to let go completely.

Lying down in your place of nature.

You are now in a deep state of relaxation.

And I would like to speak directly to your subconscious mind.

Knowledge often tries to protect us by keeping us in old out of date patterns.

I want to thank your subconscious mind for doing such a great job of protecting you.

But it's ok to open up to new suggestions and opportunities.

You no longer need out of date emotions that no longer serve you.

Today your subconscious mind is open to receiving new and positive suggestions.

Now that you're in this relaxed state.

Your subconscious mind is listening very carefully to everything I say.

You may hear other voices or noises.

But these don't bother you at all.

All you focus on is my voice.

And using your imagination to do the things I suggest as you stay enjoying this calming state of relaxation.

In the past it may have been that you're trying to go to sleep.

Possibly trying too hard because you know the harder you try,

The more difficult it is to fall asleep.

Sometimes your head is full of worries and anxieties.

Intrusive or negative thoughts that you know don't serve you.

You may be worrying about doing something in the future.

Or something you've previously said or done.

Whatever it may be,

This cycle of worry is preventing you from sleeping.

So we're going to put these worries to one side now to help you sleep better.

Sleep is a time for rest.

A time for your body to rejuvenate and restore.

A time for you to let go of any worries and tension.

And focus on the healing abilities that sleep brings.

I'd like you now to use your powerful imagination to allow your subconscious mind to tell you what you may be worrying about.

That's preventing you from sleeping.

Don't try and overthink it too much.

Just allow a thought to come into your head whilst you're in this relaxed state.

And when a thought comes into your mind I'd like you to visualize writing it down.

Picture a blackboard and some chalk in front of you,

Which you can walk over and pick up.

And gently write down the thought on the blackboard.

You can make the list as long or as short as you like.

Just writing a few words for each.

Nothing that summarizes your worry or anxiety.

Nothing too detailed.

You know what each one means to you.

So keep writing them all out now,

As many or as little as you like.

I'll give you a minute now to finish your list.

Now I'm going to show you a technique to abolish those unwanted thoughts.

They're not forever,

Just during time of sleep.

So when and if you want to deal with them,

They'll be right there waiting for you tomorrow.

Or if you want to forget all these thoughts,

You can do so easily now.

You know that if you get the rest you need from a good night's sleep,

Then you can deal with any worries or anxieties in a more positive way.

And this is because your body will have the rest it needs and your conscious and subconscious mind will be refreshed and alert,

Helping you to think more rationally and figure out the best way to deal with any problems or challenges you face.

Now as you finish your list,

I'd like you to walk up to the blackboard.

Pick up the chalkboard eraser and slowly start to erase all the words on your list.

Continue doing this until all the writing is gone.

As you erase each word,

You start to feel calmer and more relaxed.

Your mind feels clearer,

More at peace.

I'll be quiet for a moment now to allow you to keep erasing those words.

Remember if any negative words intrude into your mind,

You simply shut them out,

Going deeper and deeper,

And deeper still into a state of relaxation.

And my voice becoming fainter in tone and more distant,

As though it's fading away.

Erasing any negative thoughts now,

As you rub them out on the blackboard.

You feel like a weight is lifted from your shoulders as you feel lighter and lighter.

Every muscle is loose and limp,

Releasing tension from your body.

If you feel any tension in a muscle,

You just let it go,

Release it now.

And very soon,

Much sooner than you think,

You will have drifted into a calm,

Peaceful,

Restful sleep.

Dreaming beautiful dreams.

Going deeper and deeper into gentle,

Hypnotic rest.

You feel so sleepy now.

So ready to give yourself the time and space you need to fuel your body with some much needed rest.

You deserve this.

This is your time now,

Your time to let go and relax.

You are excited to feel the difference in your mind and body when you've had a full night's sleep,

Knowing that you will feel more focused,

More energized and ready for your day.

And when you awaken,

You'll find you're refreshed and alert,

Feeling so much better than you felt for a long,

Long time.

You'll feel freer,

Lighter,

As though a huge weight has been lifted.

Because now when you choose to sleep,

You will do so easily.

By mentally visualizing writing your worries and anxieties down onto the blackboard and then seeing yourself erase them away,

Shutting out all those unwanted,

Intrusive thoughts until tomorrow.

And this in turn lifts any heaviness and tension from your body,

Helping you to feel lighter and calmer.

Your mind feeling more relaxed and uncluttered.

Ready for a peaceful and restful night's sleep.

You will remain in this comfortable sleep state until it's your regular awakening time.

That is the time you have predetermined to wake up at,

Allowing yourself to sleep longer than you normally do.

Giving yourself permission to let go.

And when you awaken,

You'll be fully refreshed and alert.

And you'll carry on with your normal everyday duties with a renewed vigor.

And you'll find that you have more energy than you've had for a long time.

All these positive messages are now firmly embedded in your subconscious mind and they'll grow stronger and stronger day by day.

Stronger by the day,

Stronger by the hour and stronger by the minute.

And when you're ready,

You'll gently emerge from your state of relaxation,

Open your eyes,

Feeling fully awake,

Refreshed and alert.
