Bea Walker is a certified holistic health coach, registered vinyasa yoga teacher, and certified Chopra meditation teacher specializing in anxiety management. As an anxiety babe herself, she's spent the last 10 years dedicated to healing her anxiety and wants to share the useful tools and techniques she's learned over the years with you. She's created this course with the intention to help people not only manage their anxiety, but to thrive with it.

Lesson 1

Introduction

Anxiety is a form of energy and knowing what the energy is, and how it can manifest is important so we can come back to a balanced state. In this lesson, we discuss the different types of anxiety, symptoms of anxiety, and talk about the energy of anxiety.

Lesson 2

The Biology Of Anxiety

Understanding the science behind anxiety and how and why it manifests in the body is necessary in order to be able to successfully manage it. In this lesson, we talk about anxiety and the nervous system. Where anxiety comes from, and how to identify your triggers. We'll do a short breathwork exercise and meditation at the end of the lesson to that is helpful for easing anxiety.

Lesson 3

Learning How To Breathe

In this lesson, we'll discuss the importance of the breath in relation to anxiety. I'll go over the benefits of breathwork, the concept of mindfulness, and finding power in the pause. I'll teach you a few breathing techniques that are very useful for managing anxiety.

Lesson 4

The Secret To Happiness

In this lesson, we'll discuss how meditation can unlock the secret to happiness. We'll cover the basics of meditation, how to meditate, the misconceptions of meditation, and the many benefits of the practice.

Lesson 5

Leaning Into And Moving Through Anxiety

In our last session, we'll discuss identifying your anxiety triggers, and how to move through feelings of anxiety. I share some helpful affirmations and concepts like the rule of opposites that can help reduce anxiety. We'll close with a simple and short yoga flow that I like to do when I'm feeling anxious.

The information about anxiety was helpful. Unfortunately, the biggest challenge to taking in the information was that you were often reading from a script rather than communicating naturally. As an educator myself, this was a real turn off. Moving forward, an alternative might be a detailed outline with information and points that help guide you as the educator in the course. But as the educator, you should speak naturally and communicate from a place of experience and knowledge, especially about a topic like anxiety. Lastly, there are breaks in the audio and clear sections where you re-recorded certain parts. The sound quality and your voice sound different, don’t match, and come across as disjointed. Again, distracting.
