
You're Not Your Mind: Realize Your True Self

Wonderful,
We can start.
And I call this meditation,
You're Not Your Mind.
And just to explain that the mind,
Like everything else that exists,
Has a spectrum.
On one end of the spectrum is when we feel very much me,
With my problem,
With my stories,
With what I gain in my life,
Everything.
This is one spectrum.
And as we are more in the ego identity,
Normally we suffer more.
And when we suffer more,
We are more in the ego identity.
Yes,
So when the mind is very much locked into the ego,
This is like the most dense spectrum of the mind.
And then the opposite of it is awareness.
Now,
Awareness is not true to say it's the opposite.
Awareness actually is off the mind,
But it's not the mind.
So it's attached to the mind,
But it's not the mind.
It's aware of the mind.
But the feeling that it's related to the mental function,
Because we feel it related to the head,
To where the mind and thoughts are generated.
Let's say awareness is here and the ego is here,
And then there's a space between most dense and most open.
But awareness sees all that,
But it's not that.
So who we really are is the awareness that observes all that movement of dense ego into not so dense when we feel okay,
But still very much in our ego identity,
I am me.
And then we're moving out and out.
Now,
What we try to achieve through our spiritual practice is to realize that we are not the mind,
We are the awareness.
But as the awareness,
We're also observing all the drama of our life and for sure our birth and for sure our death and after death.
Okay?
So that ability to acknowledge that you are awareness is actually allows you to be beyond life and death,
Beyond time and space.
It allows you to feel I'm all there is.
But the trick here is to do this shift,
Then not me,
Yair,
Is all there is,
Is me infinity is all there is,
Including that personal identity as Yair.
Okay?
So when we say you are not your mind,
It means that you are the observer,
You are beyond and you're observing the movement of your mind.
Now,
Many people say,
How is it possible to observe the mind?
Because if you're thinking,
Then you are your mind.
And here,
It's not contradictory,
But you'll see that when you are thinking,
You still know that you are thinking.
Okay?
So always,
If you are knowing something that you are doing,
You're not that what you're doing.
You are the knower of what is in front of you.
So let's dedicate this meditation to make it very,
Very clear as we're moving backwards and backwards and backwards until there's no two,
There's only one.
So let's start by connecting inwards and just observing inwards what's happening.
It can be our breathing,
Our emotions,
The state of our mind,
Whatever attracting our awareness.
Just take a minute for that.
Let's observe our body as a space.
Yeah,
Let's observe our whole body as a living space.
As if you feel,
You see the outlines of your body and inside,
It's extremely vital,
Alive.
As you're aware of that,
Try to recognize where are you aware from?
What does it mean to be aware of something?
Not what does it mean as a thought,
But try to recognize the mechanism of awareness of,
In this case,
The space of the body.
Try to be very,
Very clear like you're investigating what's happening here.
Where is the awareness,
The seat of awareness,
You can say?
Where is it in your head?
Is it in your head?
Just investigate,
Check.
Now,
Just to experience more working with awareness,
Just try to shrink it into a smaller object than your body.
For example,
Your right toe,
For example,
Right big toe.
So you can feel only a very small part of your body.
Easy.
Then you can expand and feel both legs,
For example.
Easy.
So basically,
Awareness follows image.
So whatever image you're defining for your awareness,
That's what you're going to feel.
And not only that's what you're going to feel,
Also that's where the energy will be recognized,
The life force.
And not only where it will be recognized,
That's also where the energy will be recognized.
Where it will be guided.
Okay,
So awareness is not only being aware of an object,
It's giving life to an object by defining it.
Good.
So let's go back to the size of our body.
So we are aware of the outline of the body.
So we're creating the outline of our body,
And we're aware of its vitality,
Its life,
Its movement.
Okay,
So far we have been inside the body.
But if we understand that awareness is what we're creating as the object,
And then we're feeling that object,
Or we're experiencing that object,
So obviously it doesn't have to be limited to the body at all.
So let's expand.
And let's connect now to the aura,
The energy field around the body.
And you don't necessarily need to see colors and all that.
You just say,
I'm connecting now wider than my physical form.
So again,
You're creating.
You're creating the space by visualizing it,
By defining it.
And then immediately the space starts to be alive,
Vibrant,
And you're perceiving it.
Okay,
So now we're expanding to the space where we're sitting.
Yeah,
So the room where you sit.
Again,
You just visualize that room.
You're acknowledging that that room is where you're focusing on,
And immediately that room becomes vital,
Alive.
Just because you acknowledge it to be that,
Then it's become.
In fact,
It was alive all the time,
But now you're defining what you like to perceive.
You didn't make it alive.
You connect it to the life force that is there all the time.
You just define it for yourself,
Really.
Okay,
And then the whole creation.
Yeah,
So now we're expanding to infinity.
So now your awareness is the whole creation.
It doesn't need to be defined with any specific limitation.
It's all there is.
It's including your aura,
Including the energy in your body,
But it's including the whole creation.
Nothing really changed.
It's not that you did anything or you become anything.
You just change the perspective of what you're aware at.
That's all.
Now,
As human beings,
Because normally,
By default,
Our mind habitually is pulling into the small ego identity,
And that's why we suffer a lot,
Because there's not much space for life force to flow inside this small space.
So when we're expanding and we're acknowledging that awareness is infinite,
Immediately it's affecting our physiology,
Our emotional system,
Our psychological system.
Everything expands and we feel better immediately.
Instantaneously.
So let's just be in that infinite space and allow things to relax into that space.
Allow our mind to soften,
But not to soften only inside the body,
But to soften to infinity.
Allow our heart center,
Where normally a lot of emotions are accumulated,
To soften to infinity.
We're just letting go of all the tension that normally we're kind of stressing it inwards.
We're compressing it without paying attention,
And we just allow ourself to move into that infinite being,
Which is a natural state.
And then we release tension from the nervous system.
So if we feel any level of nervousness,
Again,
That has to be only because of wrong identity that I'm me,
These are my problems.
Now we're softening,
We're going home,
We are infinite.
To that infinite space,
We're inviting the nervous system to let go.
For that,
You need to recognize the nervousness within you while being infinite.
So just try to zoom onto area or layer within you that you feel is excessive,
Is not comfortable.
And then invite that layer to soften,
To unite with all of this.
That layer of tension can be in your body,
Can be in the aura.
Yeah,
It doesn't have to be in the body.
The minute you're zooming on it,
You're homing on it.
And immediately your breathing becomes shorter,
You become more emotional,
You don't feel good.
That's the layer that you need to soften.
Okay,
So as you slowly softening different aspect of your human existence and inviting it to synchronize,
Slowly you feel that the boundaries are eliminated like a razor.
And you don't feel your body anymore so clear,
Or the edges of your body,
They're disappearing,
They're dissolving.
If you feel any part of your body,
Of your being,
Can be emotional,
Can be physical,
Can be energetical.
You just mean that it still didn't dissolve.
So you just invite it to dissolve,
It's no problem.
But here it's very important to understand that the goal is not to dissolve necessarily.
It's nice,
It's beautiful,
It's blissful,
It's magical.
But it's not a goal,
Yeah,
It's nice.
The goal is to recognize that you are everything.
That even when you are super upset and super tense and super in your ego,
You're still infinity.
When you know that,
Then probably,
First of all,
You will not get so upset.
And second,
When you do,
Very fast you'll be able to dissolve it because you know who you are.
So if there's still leftover of tension inside your human form,
Just invite it to let go.
Again,
We always do this action,
You can say,
Or invitation,
As creation calling bits and pieces of it to come home,
To synchronize.
Not from inside out,
But from outside inviting the inside to unite.
Now,
You don't need to leave the body.
You know,
Some people are thinking they need to hover above their body.
No,
No,
No,
Not at all.
You are everything.
It's not that you,
The person,
Now is another person above you,
The person.
Not at all.
It's not an angel or a goddess or anything like that.
You are everything.
And as everything,
You're calling part of yourself to unite.
That's all.
Good.
So now,
When we are so vast,
Infinite,
We know who we are.
This is the state of expanded awareness.
Now,
From here,
Let's pay attention to thoughts.
So invite a thought.
Try not to bring a thought that is too difficult to bear,
That's too traumatized.
Just maybe something simple,
Like what you're gonna do tomorrow or what you're gonna do after the meditation.
And then,
Just see what happens to the awareness when that thought arises.
Try to observe as it is arising.
I'm sure that if you are so infinitely infinite,
Your mind doesn't want to think and it's a chore because you're so blissed in being.
But now it's a good time just to practice so you know very clearly what's happening when you're thinking.
Because now you are in a calm state.
Like a lake,
A beautiful,
Pristine,
Calm lake.
And then,
There's agitation of wind,
Of thought moving through the lake.
And there's a wave manifesting as a thought.
Tomorrow,
Da-da-dee-da-da.
See what happens to your system.
And after being agitated a bit,
Drop it completely,
Completely drop it.
And you're back in infinite space of being.
Your breathing goes deeper.
Again,
Your mind opens up and is spacious.
Your emotions are soft.
The mind is very,
Very comfortable,
Doesn't want to move.
Okay,
So now you're in a state of no thinking.
Generate another thought which is maybe a bit more difficult for you,
That is agitating a little bit more.
See immediately how your nervous system starts to shift.
Your breathing starts to become shorter.
And you're kind of pulling back into the person identity.
Drop it now,
Drop it,
Drop it,
Drop it.
Completely drop it.
Completely.
Forget about it.
Again,
Your infinite being,
Pure consciousness.
Beyond time and space.
Beyond life and death.
That's how you've always been.
That's how you always will be.
Exactly that.
Now you're transiting through this life.
And in this life you're transiting through endless situations.
But you're always that pure consciousness.
Now let's practice one more thing.
It's called the I.
The first thought there is,
Is I am me.
I am me.
If you go back to the thought that irritated you,
You see that first of all there was I.
To whom the difficulty is relating to.
Yeah.
If tomorrow you have to do something that is not comfortable,
You have to do it.
The I have to do it.
Look at that I for a minute.
And see very clearly that that I is for itself a self.
Thought.
Because when your mind doesn't move,
The I doesn't exist.
You're everything.
You're not an I.
Now thoughts has patterns to them.
Have very deep psychological pattern and deep psychological tendencies.
And you find yourself following the same loops of psychological tendencies,
Maybe to low self-esteem,
Or fear of not being belonged,
Or feeling not good enough,
Or feeling not loved.
Many things.
Recognize them all as thoughts that you can drop them very,
Very fast when they start to move into action and taking power over being.
So as you're doing your practice,
Extremely important is to recognize your psychological habitual tendencies and to stop engaging with them as they engaged with you.
Drop it as fast as possible because this is explosive.
Material.
Very negative to the system.
Come back home to who you are,
To where you belong,
And relax in peace.
So let's be in that ocean of bliss which we are,
Which is our nature.
And let's invite to this beautiful space of being those that we know in a need for that,
To be part of that beautiful space which right now they find it difficult because they're dealing with difficult situation.
Just invite them to be with you,
To share this space,
To be with us.
And even if you're listening to this meditation as a recording,
This meditation or this space that we share is beyond time.
It's always now.
So you can always invite others to this space,
To enjoy and to be benefited from its healing power.
Beautiful.
So when we start moving around after we get off this meditation state or meditative state,
It's very important that we keep the acknowledgement,
Paying attention how our mind operates,
And just move out of it,
Move out of it,
Move out of it constantly.
Don't let the awareness be completely hijacked by the thought and by the ego mind and by our psychological tendencies.
Move out immediately.
Go back home.
Stay at peace.
