Frontal Lobe Cleansing Breath, sometimes known as skull shining or Kapalbhati. It is a yogic-inspired breath to help clear the overworking mind - the frontal lobe...the area of reasoning. Bring your awareness into your third eye area, the space between the eyebrows. Whilst you forcefully exhale through your nose at a rhythmical pace that you are comfortable with, allow the inhalation to naturally occur. Focus on your exhalations as you pump from the belly with each exhalation.

Welcome to Ivy Love Language.

Find a comfortable seated position either on the floor or a chair or perhaps your bed.

Making sure that the spine is long,

Tall,

Back of the neck long.

You can gently close your eyes and have the eyes softly closed.

Relax your forehead.

You may place your hands to your belly to guide your breath,

The power coming from this place as we perform frontal lobe cleansing.

Another yogic name is Kapalabhati,

Otherwise known as skull shining.

Allow yourself to forcefully exhale through the nose in a rhythmic pattern,

In a rhythmic pace and the inhalation will naturally occur.

Just keep your awareness to your exhalation and as you exhale,

Feel like you're pumping from your belly,

Firming the belly every time you exhale.

It sounds like this.

Are you sitting up tall?

Just swallow the breath for a moment.

Now exhale out.

Breathing in,

Long exhale out.

Now when you perform the rhythmic breath,

Focus on your third eye centre as well,

The space between your eyebrows and focus on a light here.

Imagine seeing a light becoming brighter and brighter with each breath.

Exhale out completely.

Breathing in through the nose and when you're ready.

Breathing in through the nose.

Exhale out completely into the lungs and hold.

Inhale completely,

Fill the lungs up and hold.

Keep the breath held and let's see if we can do the next round at a quicker pace.

When you're ready.

Inhale.

Exhale out completely into the lungs and hold.

Inhale completely.

And pause.

Pause the breath,

Let's do one more round at the pace that you feel comfortable with or perhaps you'd like to do it a little bit faster.

Whenever you're ready.

Inhale.

Exhale out completely into the lungs and hold.

Inhale,

Fill up the lungs.

And slowly exhale,

Slowly coming back to your natural breath.

Much love.
