Good morning and welcome to this morning priming breathwork session.

This is going to be a short and simple practice designed to help you start the day in the best possible way.

I'd encourage you to practice this seated,

Even if you have just woken up and you're still in bed,

Just to support the process of waking up the body and the mind.

So finding that comfortable position and gently closing the eyes.

Let's find some stillness together.

Take a moment here just to notice how you're feeling at the beginning of this new day.

How does the body feel?

How does the mind feel?

How does your heart feel?

Let's open up with three nice,

Deep,

Clearing,

Cleansing breaths together.

Breathing deeply in through the nose,

A gentle pause at the top of the inhale,

And a soft sigh back out through the mouth.

Good,

Again,

Breathing in,

Pausing,

Holding at the top of the inhale,

And sighing out,

Releasing.

We'll take one more like that,

A deep breath in through the nose.

Feel yourself expand here,

And exhale,

Release,

Let it go.

Allow the breath to settle back to the nose,

And just begin to gently slow the breath down.

Start to lengthen and deepen your inhale and your exhale,

Feeling the belly and the ribs expand as you breathe in,

And allowing the body to soften as you breathe out.

Allow those shoulders to drop away from the ears,

Allow the jaw to softly release.

Take two more full cycles of that breath,

Gently in and out of the nose here.

We're now going to start to bring a little bit of gentle energy into the body.

We're going to start to work with a double inhale,

And a soft sigh out of the mouth,

Like so.

We're going to repeat that breath,

And we're going to get gradually a little bit faster,

So following me,

Breathing in,

Staying with that breath,

And gradually just starting to speed it up,

Starting to create a little bit of energy in your system,

Not pushing into overwhelm,

But just starting to wake up body,

Mind,

And soul here.

Staying with that breath for another five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Take a deep full breath in all the way to the top this time and hold,

And a soft sigh out,

Release,

Let it go.

Take a quick moment to check in with how you feel.

Maybe some energy moving,

Maybe some tingling,

Just beginning to wake up the body and the mind.

And we're now going to invite in a little bit of movement with the breath.

So we're going to be working with a big breath in through the nose,

Big breath out through the mouth,

But as we inhale,

You're going to reach your arms up over your head,

And as you exhale,

The arms come down,

Repeating that,

Inhale,

Arms come up,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Exhale,

In,

Out,

Staying with it,

Last three,

Last two,

Last one,

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

And exhale,

Release,

Let it go.

Really nice.

Notice that clear,

Calm,

Focused energy moving through your body here.

And now let's start to slow things down again to re-find a sense of balance in the body.

So we'll breathe gently in through the nose here,

And then blowing the exhale softly,

Gently,

Slowly back out through the mouth,

Like you're blowing through a small straw,

Extending and lengthening that out breath.

And just repeating that breath here,

Deeply,

Slowly in through the nose in your own time,

And then blowing that exhale back out.

And just staying with this pattern for a few more rounds,

Allow the heart rate to drop,

The body to soften,

Allowing everything to relax here.

Take two more full cycles of that breath,

And now just allow the breath to come back to center once more.

I invite you now to bring your attention to your third eye,

That space in between your eyebrows.

And as you bring your awareness here,

Bringing the tongue to the roof of the mouth and creating some gentle pressure.

So focusing on the third eye,

Bringing the tongue to the roof of the mouth to create that light pressure here,

And noticing how that feels.

Breathing through the nose,

Begin to slow your breath down.

And I want you to bring into your mind now,

Something or someone in your life that you are truly,

Truly grateful for.

And as you continue to slow the breath down,

Bring now into your mind's eye,

Something in your life that you want to achieve,

Something that you want to bring into reality.

See it so clearly,

It's as if it's already happened.

It's like you're really there.

You can allow the tongue to come back to a comfortable position,

Allow the breath to settle back to center.

Take a moment here just to pause as we did at the beginning of this practice and just check in with the body,

With the mind,

With the heart.

You're doing a great job.

Life can get pretty tricky at times,

But keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Keep going.

Whenever you're ready,

Start to bring some small movements back into the body.

And in your own time,

You can blink open the eyes and come back into this new day.

Have a beautiful day and I'll see you again soon.

Work has been causing a lot of stress in my body along with anxiety and sadness due to the field. I found this medication last night and tried it this morning before work. I feel confident and capable of putting my best foot forward today, and as I transition away from my role, I feel more hopeful in each step I’ll be taking. I am adding this to morning practice repertoire. Thank you 🫶🏾
