Welcome.

With this meditation you will practice to build and enjoy your happy place and thereby balance and center your mind as well as your mood.

Allow yourself to find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.

With your next inhalation gently close your eyes,

Lower your gaze and completely arrive in the posture you chose.

This physical state of calm,

Balance and ease.

Bring your awareness to your in-breath,

Inhaling,

Balance,

Stillness and peace.

And with your out-breath you let go of tension and tightness.

I want you to become aware of your happy place now.

Visualize a place that naturally makes you feel calm,

At ease,

Balance,

Stillness and peace.

There is no force or pressure.

Take your time to make this space arrive in front of your inner eyes.

Visualize a place or a space,

Not a person,

But a place or a space that engages with you calmly,

With balance,

With stillness,

With peace.

It could be a river.

It could be the sea.

It could be a meadow,

A forest,

A mountain.

It could be anything.

How do you want your happy place to be like?

Bring your awareness to this place and visualize every detail,

Every color,

Every aspect of this space.

What color is the water if it's there?

What is the color of the grass?

The plants?

What about flowers in the surrounding?

Maybe there is sand.

What color is the sand if it's there?

Visualize yourself completely at peace and ease in your happy place.

See yourself sitting there or walking,

Whatever you like,

Whatever makes you feel the calmness.

Just take in the calmness,

Balance,

Stillness and peace.

Become really aware of all the colors,

Scents,

Sounds,

Tastes.

What can you hear?

The sound of running water?

The wind?

Maybe birds?

What is it that you can hear in your happy place?

What are the scents you can smell?

What are the sights?

The sounds?

What do you taste on your tongue and in your breath?

Absorb and immerse with all of your senses.

Become deeply aware of how calming the sounds are,

Running water,

Birds,

The wind in the trees.

How soothing the sand of fresh water,

Of sand,

Of flowers are to you.

And now I want you to smile broadly and think about the happiness you are experiencing in this place right now.

There is nothing you must do,

Nothing to worry about.

Just allow yourself to experience all of the calmness in the sights,

Sounds and scents.

Recognize the beauty of this moment.

Be aware that a lot of our anxiety comes from the past and a lot of our stress is about the future.

The funny thing is that by living in the past or the future we miss the present and the only place to transform our experiences of the past or what we will experience in the future lies in the present.

Repeat after me.

I am present because in the present lies all the power.

I am present because in the present lies all the power.

I am present because in the present I discover my potential.

I accept exactly where I am right now and let peace into my mind and heart.

I am present because I'm in my happy place,

I'm in my safe,

Sacred space.

Just experience yourself the way you feel and are right now.

Visualize yourself sitting,

Walking or laying in your happy place,

Your sacred place taking in all the sights,

The sounds and the sense.

Repeat after me.

I am at peace.

I am at ease.

I am calm.

I am still.

I am exactly where I need to be.

I am exactly where I want to be.

I am in the best place to change my life.

Bring your awareness to your breath now,

Observe how you breathe in and breathe out.

Spread your attention out in your whole body.

Get aware of your legs,

Your feet and your toes again.

Get aware of your arms and your fingers and your hands.

And when you're ready,

In your own time,

At your own pace,

Bring back your awareness to wherever you are right now by opening your eyes.
