Hi,

I'm Javonna Marese.

Welcome to the Hiatus Space,

A place where we practice mindful breathing,

Rest,

And emotional clarity.

This short meditation is here to help you pause,

Connect with yourself,

And return to your day with a little more peace.

Let's begin.

Stress has a way of tightening its grip on our thoughts,

Our breath,

And our sense of peace.

It makes us forget what we already know deep down,

That even in our most overwhelmed moments,

There's a light inside of us that hasn't gone out.

This meditation is an invitation to remember that light,

To feel it,

Connect with it,

And let it guide you back to yourself.

Take a slow inhale through your nose,

And exhale gently through your mouth.

Again,

Inhale deeply,

And exhale,

Letting your body begin to soften.

One more time,

Inhale,

And exhale fully,

Let go.

Now,

Imagine stress as a weight,

Maybe on your chest,

Your shoulders,

Your brow.

You don't have to change anything yet,

Just notice it.

Breathe gently,

You're safe.

Begin to feel a warmth forming deep in your belly.

It starts as a soft ember,

Then slowly begins to grow,

Slowly begins to glow a steady amber light.

It's not burning,

It's comforting,

Like a warm bath,

Like sunlight on your skin in the middle of a peaceful afternoon,

Like a hug from someone you love.

And then,

You see that it's you.

Your arms are around yourself,

An image of you,

Steady and whole,

From the other side of whatever stress you're experiencing.

You meet your own gaze,

Calm and wise,

And you hear yourself speak.

You are well.

You are strong.

You are doing your best.

You deserve to be loved.

You deserve to rest.

This too shall pass.

You are rising.

The warmth you felt,

It was coming from this version of you all along.

You reach out,

And they gently take your hand and place it on your own belly.

You realize the light isn't just around you,

It's within you.

It always was.

Now feel that warmth begin to spread.

From your belly,

Down your right leg,

Down your left leg,

Up through your chest and spine,

Into your left arm,

Your right arm,

Up through your neck,

Across your face and scalp.

You are completely surrounded by your own light,

Held,

Seen,

Safe.

This version of you is not separate from who you are now.

You are one.

Step forward together,

Strengthened by gratitude,

Rooted in resilience,

Softened by peace.

As your light returns to its quiet home inside your belly,

Feel it pulse gently through your entire body.

Always available,

Always steady.

Wrap your arms around yourself,

Just like before.

And with each exhale,

Release a little more stress.

See it dissolve,

Dissipate,

And return to your own light.

Your inner light is always there,

Even in your darkest moments.

Call on it,

Remember it,

Cherish it.

See it in others.

You are here,

You are whole,

You are home.
