Do you know who you truly are? Are you able to recognise your true self and where you have come from? Forgiveness is often defined as a deliberate decision to let go of feeling of anger, resentment, and retribution toward someone who you believe has wronged you. However, whilst you may be quite generous in forgiving others, you may be much harder on yourself. Have you ever truly forgiven yourself!? Everyone makes mistakes, but you can learn from these errors and in the process let go, move on, and find self-forgiveness. You will be guided through exactly what you need to do to forgive and accept yourself, to develop a new lease of life. So, sit back, relax and listen while you take time and space to self-reflect and feel soothed, refreshed and rejuvenated, giving you a fresh perspective in which to go forward.

Take a moment to settle yourself into a nice comfortable position.

This may be seated,

Rest your hands on your lap,

Place them down by your side,

Close the eyes and relax as I guide you through a journey of acceptance and self-forgiveness.

Like a roller coaster,

Life is full of twists and turns and yet it is these twists and turns that define our existence,

That shape our path as we journey through this landscape.

This can also become the source of our thoughts,

Emotions,

Beliefs and actions.

Whilst the path offers opportunities of growth and change,

Reinvention and transformation,

We often consume the impact of past events,

The actions of others and process of circumstance by deeply absorbing them into our energy.

While we allow these cycles to happen,

Conditioned we become,

These energies to become tightly cocooned in their snug,

Infinite resonance.

But there is a way to break free from these cycles,

To recondition our existence so that we may let go of this heavy weight and set ourselves free from that which no longer serves us.

Through acceptance we learn the importance of being present,

Taking responsibility and living a more open,

Freer existence.

We also learn the importance of forgiveness,

That not everything that happens to us needs to be carried further,

That it's okay to let go even if the very thought of it may seem dark and scary.

It's not need be like that.

Letting go is liberating,

It's uplifting,

Empowering and sets us free.

Start to bring the focus inwards and as you do so understand that where focus goes,

Energy flows.

Feel the breath coming in,

Breath going out.

We breathe without being consciously aware of it.

So take a moment to connect with this life-giving force.

Continue observing the breath come in,

Breath settle into its usual comfortable,

Observe the breath without judgment or critique.

Simply let it flow and as you connect with it,

Allow yourself to relax.

Going in,

Breath coming out.

As you continue this simple breathing cycle,

Any tension being held in your body to simply dissolve and drain away.

Breath going in,

Feel yourself fall deeper into relaxation.

Let the jaw loosen,

The shoulders sink,

Muscles in your face,

Neck.

In this space,

Any thoughts to pass through you like a steady stream,

Observe them without judgment.

Consider for a moment how delightful it would feel if you were to allow yourself the relaxation that's needed for you to manifest the things you want most in life.

Manifestation is an eternal process.

To attract positive,

Healthy things into being,

One must align themselves to that of a higher frequency.

Complete relaxation is impossible when holding on to grudges,

Resentment,

Judgment,

And guilt.

Often one can aim so much blame and hatred towards others to such a degree that it numbs any responsibility of the impact it has.

But how we see,

Think,

Or feel about others is merely a reflection of how we see ourself.

Resentment comes from Latin,

Meaning roots,

But its original meaning was to feel again.

We all deal with resentment in some shape or form,

Holding on to harm that has been caused in the past,

Like some kind of comfort blanket.

This is a painful experience,

And in holding on to this,

One feels the pain repeatedly.

Sometimes these resentments may feel like they offer security from future harm,

But this is just an illusion.

With forgiveness,

One can free up space in the heart,

Bliss to take root.

Tears of forgiveness will help you let go of those painful experiences and offer freedom to both the mind.

The path to acceptance is self-love.

Visualize an old empty room with its wide,

Dusty,

Bare features.

The windows projecting nothing but a bright white light from outside.

There is a door behind you which leads back to the here.

One of the walls hangs a tall,

Dusty mirror,

Sitting in a rustic,

Antique frame.

Approach the mirror with open curiosity.

Its distinguishing features become more familiar,

Sturdy,

Like it has witnessed many things in its stillness presence.

Step closely towards the mirror,

Through the stains,

Dust,

And imperfections.

See yourself,

Your true self,

This honest reflection.

For this reflection reveals much about who you once were.

It reveals your strengths,

Features,

Aspects of the self that remain hidden to the outside world.

It reveals much about your darkest thoughts,

Deepest dreams,

And inner most desires.

Allow these features to fully reveal themselves to you.

Ponder the vision.

Attempt to commune with this reflection and engage with it.

Ask how it came to be,

What did it have to go through to get has it been,

And listen to its response,

Intently and without judgment.

Hear the reflection describe its journey.

Nest the flashes of emotions,

Visions of the past.

Consider what important lessons the past can teach you.

Remain unattached to these visions,

For they are merely reflections of what once was but is no more.

From these visions,

Learn to be accepting once again.

Accept the things that have come to pass.

Accept the journey,

Accept the lessons,

Accept yourself.

Embrace this past version of yourself and let it offer you guidance,

Foresight,

Blessings.

Embrace it with love and understanding,

Respect and kindness.

Offer it your devotion.

Be humbled by its teachings,

For in the past we learn our most valuable lessons.

In this moment ask yourself,

What reflections of myself face up to and accept?

What do I need to release?

The longer best serves me,

Is holding me back from moving forward,

Was the last time I forgave myself.

Take this opportunity now to truly and meaningfully forgive yourself,

For holding on to what should have been released.

Reassure yourself that from this point on,

You will commit to growth,

Resilience and strength.

Let of whatever was once holding you back,

Be finally released.

Reflect on this for a few moments in quiet contemplation,

As you reaffirm to yourself,

Forgive myself,

I forgive myself,

Forgive myself.

Jai Gurudev.

In your own time,

You may turn back towards the door you came in through and bring yourself back to the here and now and leave behind the things that no longer best serve you.

Take a moment to draw a deeply uplifting long breath in,

An equally long cleansing breath in,

In.

Feel safe in the knowledge that you are equipped with everything you need to go forward with love,

Kindness and compassion.

You accept the path traveled behind you,

You have forgiveness in your heart,

Courage to advance your journey further.
