Sitting,

Breathing,

Letting go.

Allow yourself a moment to sit and simply to relax.

Do not worry about your breath.

Do not worry about your posture.

Just be aware of your back.

Be aware of your hands.

Be aware of the points where your body touches your pillow or your seat.

Be aware of the points where your feet touch the floor.

Be aware of your shoulders as they slowly roll backwards.

Be aware of your head as it rises just a little bit,

Straightening and lengthening your body.

Sit tall but without straining and simply be aware of the feelings that that posture gives you.

Be aware of any tension within your body and breathe into it.

Let the air you draw in wrap around it,

Entwine it,

And loosen it.

As you breathe out,

Allow that air to carry that tension with it and send it into the air that surrounds you.

Move your awareness to the points of your body that touch the earth.

Feel the weight of your body against the pillow or the seat beneath you.

Feel the points where your feet touch the ground or the floor.

As you breathe in,

Simply breathe into those points.

Feel the firmness,

The solidity with each breath.

Feel your connection to the earth strengthen and expand.

As you breathe out,

Breathe upward and outward,

Letting the tension leave and your thoughts expand.

Breathe into the earth,

Breathe out to the sky,

And enjoy that point of floating between the two,

Finding your own balance and point of calm.

As you breathe in and settle,

Breathe out and settle.

Breathe in and settle,

Breathe out and settle.

Breathe out and settle,

Breathe out and settle.

Breathe out and settle,

Breathe out and settle.

Breathe out and settle,

Breathe out and settle.

Breathe out and settle,

Breathe out and settle.

Breathe out and settle,

Breathe out and settle.

Breathe out and settle,

Breathe out and settle.

Breathe out and settle,

Breathe out and settle.

Welcome back.

Before you open your eyes,

Simply allow yourself to return to your body and your mind on your own pace.

You can wiggle your fingers and your toes.

You can stretch your legs.

And when you're ready,

Just open your eyes and smile as you welcome yourself back into the world and thank yourself for taking the time that you did to rebalance your day.

Be well.
