Let's take a few minutes together to sit and think about our feelings.

Sometimes you feel really really happy and everything's going well.

Other times we feel really really sad and this is all very normal.

Today we are going to talk a little bit about how to manage all the different emotions.

So what feeling are you feeling right now?

Is it happy,

Sad,

Mad?

Whatever it is just know that it's okay.

It's okay to feel exactly as you feel.

Now let's pay attention to that feeling.

Close your eyes and just imagine that that feeling was an animal.

What animal would it be?

What animal comes to your mind first?

If that animal represents your emotion right now,

You want to smile to it and thank it for hanging out with you for a while.

Noticing your breath going in and out of the body,

Just allow that image to release and notice how you feel now.

Is it the same or different?

Whatever feeling that you have right now,

Bring it to mind.

What shape is this feeling?

Is it a color?

It might be a purple triangle or a gold circle.

Just bring to mind whatever this feeling feels like to you.

What shape and color?

And as you breathe just watch the shape and color and then begin to focus on the breath.

Gentle inhale and a gentle exhale with your eyes closed and allow that shape to gently release from your mind.

We're only going to take a few more breaths together so see if you can make them nice and deep.

Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth.

Do that two more times.

Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth.

Last time.

Inhale really deep and exhale nice and slow through the mouth.

Let it all go.

Now blink your eyes open and notice how you feel.

Do you feel different than you did when you first sat down to meditate?

So amazing what a few breaths can do.

Thank you for exploring your emotions with me today.

I hope to meditate with you again soon.

Excellent I tried it with my 3-year-old daughter and although she didn't sit still and I had to pause it a few times, it did resonate with her. Great job
