This is a calm, voice-only recording created to support rest at the end of the day. There's nothing you need to do, follow or achieve. You're welcome to listen closely, or simply let the sound of my voice fade into the background as you settle.

There's nothing you need to do right now.

You don't need to change anything.

You can just let this moment be exactly as it is.

Get yourself as comfortable as you can.

You're here and that's enough.

It's a quieter part of the day.

The part of the day where things naturally begin to slow.

Even if your mind is still a little busy your body already knows this time.

It knows how to soften.

It knows how to settle.

You might notice the surface beneath you and how it's supporting you without any effort.

You don't need to hold yourself up.

You can let that go.

If thoughts pass through that's all right.

You don't need to follow them.

Thoughts can come and go on their own.

And there's nothing you need to solve tonight.

Nothing that needs your attention right now.

This time is for resting.

The world keeps turning quietly.

Whether you're awake or asleep.

You don't need to stay alert for it.

Your shoulders might begin to feel a bit heavier.

Your arms can rest more fully.

Your hands don't need to hold anything.

They can simply be.

Your legs are allowed to be still.

Your feet don't need to go anywhere.

Everything can pause here.

If you notice a sound in the distance.

You don't need to react to it.

It can just be part of the background.

You're safe where you are.

This is a time for slowing.

Not for thinking ahead.

The day has already done enough.

You don't need to review it.

You don't need to prepare for tomorrow.

All of that can wait.

Your body knows how to do this.

Even if it doesn't always feel like it.

It's done it many times before.

You don't need to help it along.

You can let things soften in their own time.

If your attention drifts,

That's fine.

You can always come back to the start.

If you notice the sound of my voice.

Or let it fade into the background.

Either way is okay.

There's no right way to listen.

You're not required to stay awake.

You're not required to fall asleep.

You can simply rest here.

For as long as you like.

Nothing is expected of you.

You don't need to keep track of time.

The quiet will hold things for you.

And when sleep comes.

It can come gently.

Without effort.

And if it doesn't.

That's alright too.

You're still resting.

You're still safe.

And you don't need to go anywhere else.

Right now.

Right now.
