This meditation was designed for you to practice with each day so that you can start taming that monkey mind,

Connect with your baby,

And continue to build trust and confidence.

Remember,

Our minds are meant to talk to us,

So the goal here isn't to shut them up.

Some real truths can come to us when we allow our minds to simply flow,

When we aren't judging our thoughts,

When we find separation between our thoughts and ourselves.

Because we are not our thoughts.

Our thoughts are simply visitors coming and going.

If those visitors are starting to feel more like permanent guests and you are getting stuck in your head,

All you have to do is listen and feel your breath.

If you haven't yet listened to the Need to Nose track,

We recommend you do.

There are some additional tips there to help guide you.

When you really stop to think about why we breathe and what our breath does,

It's pretty incredible.

On the inhale,

We are literally feeding ourselves and our babies oxygen,

The one thing both our bodies need to do just about everything.

To grow,

To heal,

To defend,

To make new cells,

To maintain function,

To keep balance.

And on the exhale,

We are allowing that nourishment to travel through our bloodstream,

Nourishing and supporting each and every cell and ours and baby's body,

While also ridding ourselves and baby of all that gas and toxins that we don't want or need.

Okay,

We know,

This may sound obvious,

But we breathe approximately 23,

000 breaths each day.

How many of those do we actually pay attention to?

Our bodies do it for us,

So it's easy to take it for granted.

So just take a moment and connect with this idea.

You may want to bring it with you into the following meditation.

Before we begin,

Make sure you're comfortable.

You can stack pillows for some extra support,

Sit up,

Lay down.

There's no right way,

Just whatever feels best for you.

Once you're comfy,

Close your eyes and draw your attention to your breath.

Really start to feel yourself breathe.

As you inhale,

Feel as that oxygen passes through your nostrils,

Feel your belly fill with air as if it's a balloon.

Maybe you're taking in so much oxygen that your chest starts to expand too.

And as you exhale,

Feel the air pass back out through the rims of your nostrils.

Feel as your ribs and belly fall.

Continue to feel your breath.

We will be here for about 10 minutes.

There's nothing else you need to do,

Nowhere else you need to be.

Simply breathe and listen.

All right,

Let's do it.
