Welcome to a profound awakening journey! In this guided meditation, we will explore the path to spiritual liberation and presence. As you settle into your body and focus on your breath, you'll experience the timeless sensations that bring you into the now. Our separate self exists in psychological time, but through mindfulness and self-realization, we can transcend this construct and embrace the observing presence within us.

So just take a moment to arrive in your body.

The body is always the most available doorway into presence.

It's completely immediate.

You can allow your attention to focus on your breath and allow a deep breath that completely fills the stomach.

And then you can begin to notice any sensations,

Any tightness,

Any ease.

You can notice your fingers and toes.

They're often quite alive.

The body's sensations are timeless.

They're just here now.

And when we allow our attention to go to them,

We begin to taste a little bit of that timelessness.

One of the reasons why we resist coming into the body is because the separate self prefers to exist or really can only exist where there's time,

Psychological time.

So just come into the body completely.

Allow your attention to open to the experience of being through the sensations that are currently here that we label body.

And if thoughts appear,

Which they will do,

We can just allow them to be as they are.

We can notice if there's any thoughts appearing that are related to the past.

It could be the very recent past,

The last five minutes,

Or it might go back further.

But either way,

Notice that thoughts of the past,

Whether pleasant or painful,

They only appear now.

They're like bright stars appearing in the spaciousness of the sky.

Like thoughts in the past appearing in the spaciousness of consciousness.

The power they have can only be through us attributing power to those thoughts.

As past.

Otherwise they are just the adornments of the present moment in the mind.

So just welcome those thoughts into the totality of your current experience.

Without resistance.

And similarly,

If there are any thoughts toward the future,

They too only ever appear now.

Equally enticing,

But still irrelevant apart from the values that we assign to them.

So allow yourself to welcome the thoughts of the past and the thoughts of the future and the thoughts of the future as adornments,

Decorations,

Vibrancy of this moment.

So as we do this,

Our identity begins to shift from the small separate self to the observing presence.

Observing thoughts as past.

Observing thoughts as presence.

Observing future as presence.

Observing everything as presence.

Only the separate self can see past and future because it is a construct of the separate self.

And our separate self is very invested in the past and future.

Because that sustains it.

But the observing presence doesn't know time.

It doesn't know past and future.

It just notices those thoughts appearing along with their labels in the now.

So just like the observing presence,

Allow all thoughts,

All movement to just appear to just appear right now without any resistance and without any personalization.

Whether you have thoughts saying I'm distracted or thoughts saying I'm meditating or thoughts saying I want more silence or thoughts saying I want more guidance or whatever it is.

Just observe they're coming and going.

And if there's any spontaneous kriyas or body movements which the field of allowing can provide if you are in an appropriate place allow the movements to flourish just as they are.

And you can place attention on a part of your body.

It could be where you sit or where you are sitting.

It could be where you sit or it could be a foot.

And just notice the sensation there.

Notice there's a sensation and there's probably words and or images about the body part.

What we call the body is a construct within the mind.

The separate self has a body but the observing presence knows words,

Images and sensations.

If your eyes are closed just pay attention to let's say your right foot and you might notice there's the image.

There could be the word and there's a sensation.

And just allow all images and words to dissolve.

And bring your attention to the sensation only.

This sensation that hangs in the field of consciousness effortlessly just here.

And if you notice on your left foot it's the same.

There is ultimately a label-less sensation held in the field of pure consciousness.

We can allow our attention to fall into that deep knowing,

That intimate connection with our true body.

The great body of pure consciousness in which all sensations arise,

Abide and subside.

And as the observing self open and expand your consciousness to include more and more and more of your current experience free from the labels the separate self uses to hold them in place.

It could be sounds,

My voice,

Whatever you can feel,

Whatever you can think,

And from the perspective of the observing self whatever is thought and whatever is felt.

Allow it to rest in complete freedom of being anything at all.

And now also observe the separate self as one of those experiences arising in pure consciousness.

Just allow the separate self to rest in that pure consciousness.

All of the millions of appearances that comprise the separate self.

And allow them all to be as completely as they are.

Totally welcome.

Absolutely welcome.

Cherished in consciousness as consciousness.

And if there's a particular challenge that the separate self believes it is facing then completely welcome and allow that challenge and all of the experiences it proliferates.

Your self as pure consciousness has infinite dimensions and so has the capacity to allow all of life's experiences without effort.

And welcome the distracted self,

Welcome the focused self,

And welcome the natural movement between the two.

It is the observing self that notices both.

And it is the noticing that is who you are and not the identity that shifts or the activity that shifts.

So rest deeply as the consciousness that you are.

And allow the experience of flickering in and out of mindfulness to be noticed and allowed without effort.

There's no need to control.

There's no need to wrestle.

There's no need to be a certain way.

There's no need to have a certain experience.

There's no need.

Exactly as you are.

As you are.

This is it.

Exactly.

Not even a little bit needs to change.

Exactly,

Completely and totally as you are.

This is it.

This vantage,

This view was here before the meditation began.

It was here during the meditation and it will remain after the meditation.

It can feel as if it's something we created but that is not the case.

All we did was get out of the way.

And even then all what was needed was a de-labeling of experience.

The separate self appears in response to labels because itself is a label.

So when you start to see it dissolves.

And this simple piece is what remains.

So when this meditation comes to an end I invite you to to maintain that I invite you to to maintain this vantage.

This open,

Lucid,

Available,

Stable,

Indestructible,

Effortless vantage.

And live from there.

Live from there.

This is a wonderful inward, focused, meditation practice… I will revisit again as your words remind me of how to be aware of and tune out inner chatter during meditation. Thank you and Namaste.🪷🙏🪷
