Thank you for joining me in this third meditation of my Celtic Blessing meditation series as we focus on the air element.
And because it is the air element,
I would like you to place your self-care hands comfortably against your chest,
Over your heart and lung space.
So just take a moment to do this in a way that is most comfortable for you in the position that you have chosen to listen.
And then breathe comfortably into this position.
If you have heard the second meditation in this series where we focused on the water element,
I would like you to return to the place in your mind where you had visited during that meditation,
Because today's meditation begins there.
And if you have not heard my second meditation in this series,
You may wish to listen to it now and then return here for the air element.
Or you may simply go in your mind to a favorite location of yours where there is a source of water,
Such as a river,
A lake,
A pond,
A stream,
Or an ocean.
Somewhere that even thinking about it now lets you feel good,
Where positive memories have been made in the past.
So I'll pause here for a moment while you make this transition.
And assuming you are now comfortably engaged in your enjoyable memory,
I'd like you to see yourself sitting down on the ground,
Closely to the water's edge in a safe and secure location.
Where you can remain for the next few minutes.
And as you're making yourself comfortable in this location,
Feel a solidness of the earth element beneath you now,
Supporting you here.
And notice also its quietness,
Something that can be very,
Very special in a busy life.
Simple quietness,
Blessing you with its peace now.
And see the running wave of the water element before you also,
Also blessing you with its beauty and its form.
Just breathe in this awareness.
And then breathe into the flowing air element that is also blessing you with its presence today.
As you take a moment now to acknowledge it by consciously breathing its life giving forces.
Big breaths,
Breathing in and out.
And again,
In and out.
And as you're breathing,
I'd like you to notice the quality of the air that you're breathing here.
Is it moist?
Dry?
Notice how it's feeling against your skin.
And notice everything about the movement of the air in this location.
For example,
Is there a breeze blowing?
Or perhaps it's windy.
Or is it still?
The air element is more noticeably present in a location like this because of its effect on the water's movement before you.
So continue to breathe into this scene more slowly and easily now,
Letting it completely develop for you as you relax into the space by the water's edge.
Your space,
Your special space.
Relaxing completely.
And all the while absorbing the beauty of this place that's enfolding you now with its peace.
The air element expresses itself through sound also.
It's carried in the air and in this natural setting,
Surrounding you with pleasure also.
So please take these next few moments to simply notice and acknowledge through your body's senses all of nature's presence to you here in this beautiful location you have chosen to visit.
Simply breathing in its peace as you listen to the sounds all around you.
