Getting back into the world may seem like embarking on another life-changing transition. While some people may find it exciting, others may find the idea of re-entering society to be quite stressful or maybe both. Whatever you’re feeling, it’s important to acknowledge and accept where you are, and, if needed, find some ways to feel comfortable safely returning to your pre-pandemic activities.

Welcome,

It's Julie.

Please get comfortable sitting down.

Make sure your spine is tall and your body relaxed.

Legs and arms at ease and slowly close the eyes.

Getting back into the world may seem like embarking on another life-changing transition.

While some people may find it quite exciting others may find the whole idea of re-entering society to be quite stressful or maybe both.

Whatever you're feeling it's important to acknowledge and accept where you are and if needed find some ways to feel comfortable safely returning to your pre-pandemic activities.

Let's take three deep breaths and as you exhale imagine releasing any tension in the body with a big sigh,

Thus supporting your body to relax further.

As you become present with your breath start to explore how your body feels as you follow it.

Allow any thoughts to bubble up and then let them go and then bring yourself back to the breath and we'll be here for a couple of minutes.

You you you you you Now bring your awareness to your chest and ribcage.

Place your hands lightly on your heart.

With each breath feel your ribcage and chest rise and fall.

Start to repeat the mantra,

I am safe,

I am grounded in the mind.

Now slowly sync the rhythm of your breath with the mantra.

So on the inhale repeat,

I am safe.

On the exhale repeat,

I am grounded.

Just continue this at your own pace over and over in the mind until you hear my voice.

You you If you notice your mind wandering as you are repeating the mantra,

Just know that that is perfectly normal.

When you become aware you are thinking,

Simply draw your attention back to the mantra in your mind.

I am safe,

I am grounded.

You you you Now bring your awareness to the breath in your abdomen.

Place your hands lightly on your abdomen and with each breath feel your navel rise and fall.

There is nothing to do or control.

The breath happens naturally all by itself.

Just follow the breath.

As you continue to follow the breath in the abdomen we will now repeat the mantra in the mind,

I have all I need,

I will transition safely.

I have all I need,

I will transition safely in the mind.

On the inhale repeat,

I have all that I need and on the exhale repeat,

I will transition safely.

Continue this at your own pace over and over in the mind until you hear my voice.

You You can now start to let go of the mantra and just take a moment to notice how you you feel.

Start to become aware of any noises around you.

Slowly open your eyes and perhaps stretch.

May you always be safe on your journey.
