Hello,
I'd like to invite you right now to gently close your eyes.
Keeping your mouth closed,
Begin to inhale and exhale through your nose.
Take long,
Slow,
Deep breaths in through your nose,
And notice the air coming into the tip of your nose.
With your next inhalation,
Hold your breath for a moment.
Now slowly exhale,
Allowing yourself to relax.
Allow your mind and heart to open over these next few moments.
And as I speak,
Continue to take long,
Slow,
Deep breaths,
Gently in and out of your nose.
At this time,
Try to imagine you are sitting on a soft,
Warm bed.
You are the only one around,
And nothing else matters.
No matter what sounds are going on around you,
No matter what your week has been,
Or even this day,
Right now,
In this moment,
You are in a serene,
Calm place.
Slowly breathing in and breathing out,
Surrounded by beauty,
Surrounded by peace.
And with every breath you take,
You know that you are completely safe and secure,
And that all is well in this moment.
Now take another deep breath in and hold.
And as you exhale,
Release any tension in your body,
Whether it's in your jaws,
Your neck,
Shoulders,
Arms,
Or legs.
Let go of any discomfort.
By sitting here today,
Right now,
In this moment,
You are taking a step towards wellness,
A step towards peace,
A step towards healing.
So if you notice any distracting thoughts,
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
And again,
Simply notice your breath coming in and your breath going out.
With each exhalation,
Let your body relax even more,
And let your thoughts float away like clouds on a windy day.
Just watch them drift away.
You notice now that you're becoming more and more relaxed and at ease with each breath you take.
Your whole body is relaxed,
Your mind is calm,
And your heart is filled with peace.
Feel this relaxation for a few moments.
Taking time to breathe and relax is an essential part of self-care.
It is never selfish or demanding.
It only empowers us with clarity and calm to move forward.
Taking one last deep breath in and hold.
As you exhale,
You feel completely calm and centered.
We will now end this session,
So bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.
Slowly and gently begin to move your body.
And when you're ready,
Taking your time,
Gently open your eyes and carry this calm with you wherever you go.
