A guided body scan to assist with relaxation and self-awareness. Lay in a comfortable position with a prop under your knees to soften the curve of your low back and a blanket fold under your head. Ensure you are comfortable and in a space where you can be uninterrupted for about 20-30 minutes. Continue to relax after the guided meditation for as long as you feel.

Welcome to this guided meditation.

Please lay down and be comfortable.

Have supports under your body so that you can relax.

Take the time to settle and to feel your body relaxing as you breathe naturally.

We will do a guided body awareness to bring awareness and grounding to your whole body.

Tune into your natural breath.

Feel the rise and the fall as you inhale and exhale.

Continue to notice your breath naturally moving.

Feel the earth supporting you.

Feel your connection to the ground.

Feel the earth supporting you and feel the connection to the ground.

Bring your awareness to your toes,

To all 10 toes.

Take a breath and feel your toes are connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to your feet,

To both the right and the left foot.

Bring your awareness to the feet and feel their connection to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the lower legs,

The shins and the calves of both legs.

Awareness of your lower legs connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to your knees,

To both knees.

Awareness of your knees connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to your thighs,

The front and the back of both thighs.

Awareness of your thighs connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the pelvis,

To the whole of your pelvis.

Awareness of the pelvis connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the back,

The low back,

The middle back and the upper back.

Awareness of the whole back connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the front of the torso,

The lower belly,

The mid and the chest.

Awareness of the whole of the front connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to your fingertips,

All 10 fingers.

Awareness of the fingers connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the hands,

Both the right and left hands.

Bring your awareness to your lower arms,

Both lower arms together.

Awareness of them connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the elbows,

Both the right and left elbows.

Feel them connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the upper arms,

Both upper arms.

Awareness of the upper arms connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the shoulders,

Both the right and the left shoulders.

Awareness of the shoulders connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the neck,

To the throat and the back of the neck.

Awareness of the whole neck connected to the ground.

Bring your awareness to the head,

The front of the head,

The eyes,

The cheeks,

The nose,

The mouth,

The chin.

Awareness of the jaw,

Both ears,

The sides of the head.

Awareness of the top of the head and the back of the head.

The whole of the head connected to the ground.

Feel the connection of the body and the ground.

Bring your awareness from the head down to the neck down from the shoulders.

Bringing the awareness from the fingertips back up through the hands,

Through the arms,

Elbows and shoulders.

Bring the awareness down through the front of the torso and the back of the torso.

Awareness down into the pelvis,

Down through both upper legs,

Down through the knees,

The lower legs,

Both feet.

Bring the awareness down to all ten toes.

Feel the whole of the body connected to the ground.

Feel the whole of the body connected to the ground.

Feel the whole of the body connected to the ground.

Rest in this.
