In Ancient Celtic folklore, frogs symbolize good luck and positive energy, often seen as tiny fairies in disguise. Experience deep relaxation with "A Nature’s Nap," featuring the enchanting spring frogs of Nova Scotia, known as the Spring Peepers. These unique frogs, are found only in Eastern North America, making this a special gift to all of you. Inspired by my mentor Sharlyn Hidalgo, certified practitioner and teacher of Alchemical Healing and author of The Healing Power of the Trees, this practice combines body sensing with the mystic ambiance of the four directions, creating a serene nature nap for your soul. Recorded in my backyard, the track includes peaceful sounds, making it feel as though you are resting beside me. The additional ambient music is composed by Insight Timer's teacher, Dane Howard. Enjoy! Karen

As dusk falls in the serene landscapes of Nova Scotia,

The air fills with the enchanting chorus of the spring peepers.

These delicate frogs serenade the twilight with their mystical calls,

Creating a harmonious symphony that speaks of ancient rhythms and the timeless dance of nature as they seek their mates.

This is a nature's nap.

Let's settle in,

Get comfy,

Maybe grab some cozy socks,

A blanket,

And a pillow for under your knees and your head.

If you're outside,

Dress warm,

Make sure you're nice and toasty.

I invite you to lay on the ground if you're somewhere safe.

Close your eyes or soften your gaze.

I invite you to step into a sacred space with the mystical essence of calling the directions by Sherilyn Halago to embody you,

Guiding your spirit through the wisdom of the four directions.

I call the East the rising sun and springtime.

I call new beginnings and new ideas.

I call the winged ones.

I call a higher perspective to all our endeavors.

I call the element of air,

And I honor the four winds.

I honor intelligence,

Inspiration,

And communication,

And I honor the trees of the East and its studies,

Totems,

Guides,

And guardians.

I call the South the midday sun and summer.

I call fertility and creativity,

Passion and activity.

I call the plants,

Flowers,

And trees.

I call the element of fire,

And I honor our passions and desires.

I honor purpose and will,

Action and creative endeavors.

I honor the trees of the South and its deities,

Totems,

Guides,

And guardians.

I call the West the setting sun and autumn.

I call the dreamtime the inner reflection.

I call all water creatures.

I call the element of water,

And I honor all the waters of the Earth.

I honor our tears,

Emotions,

And feelings.

I honor flow and receptivity,

And I honor the trees of the West and its deities,

Totems,

Guides,

And guardians.

I call the North.

I call the midnight sun and winter,

And I call the wisdom of the ancestors and the knowledge of our lineages.

I call the element of Earth,

And I honor our bodies that house our spirits.

I honor rocks,

Minerals,

Crystals,

Gems,

Mountains and valleys,

Prairies and fields,

And deserts.

I honor two-legged animals and four-legged animals,

And I honor the trees of the North and its deities,

Totems,

And guardians.

I call above.

I call the star nations higher dimensions of consciousness and love.

And I call the gods,

Goddesses,

And the angelic realm that participates 100% in love and protection for all.

I call below.

I call Mother Earth and give great gratitude for all she does to sustain our lives.

I give great gratitude for all creatures and the unseen domains that nourish us.

Without her permission,

There would be no flora or fauna to sustain us.

She is a paradise,

And it is a privilege to walk upon her.

I call within.

I honor our heart's altar and feed the flame of love.

From this inner place,

We receive everything we need to know.

This is the home of our inner world tree and our knowledge and love.

The heart is a true master organ,

Where our true eyes and ears are.

This is our master message center that connects us to all that is past,

Present,

And future.

This is the place outside time and space and the emptiness within,

Which all potential and possibility rest.

And so it is.

We begin in the body,

Rotating attention throughout the body.

When you hear a body part named,

Notice any energy,

Any sensation at the body part.

And if there's any worry and tension,

Let it release from the body part when named.

You can always imagine a glow of light going to each body part.

I needed to hear an “I love you” today. Even if it’s from someone I’ve never met. Thank you! ❤️
