Life's challenges are often coded messages inviting us into a new expression of ourselves. In this talk, I reflect on moving beyond resistance, dissolving ego control, and stepping into a more fluid, intuitive relationship with life. This is a journey of surrender, inner listening, and trust in the deeper intelligence that's always guiding us.

So,

I've been having a really challenging year,

And I've been reflecting on what people do when life gives them hard things,

When life gives you lemons.

I know that nobody escapes this,

We're all going to experience hard things,

But I think there's a way to move with them instead of resisting them,

Because the resistance makes it harder.

So,

Not fighting what life is giving you or where it may be steering you,

Because I think that's why it feels hard,

Because our mind is saying,

No,

No,

No,

No,

No,

No,

No,

No,

But it's happening,

Whether we like it or not.

So,

We have a choice to fight it and push back and force and struggle and keep persevering,

Keep pushing through.

What else did they say?

Don't give up,

Be strong,

You just got to keep going.

And it's like,

Well,

Yeah,

But also,

What does the thing have for me?

Can I slow down enough to notice instead of just keeping my head down and being like,

Okay,

I just got to keep going,

Just got to keep pushing through and just got to keep doing the thing and I'll make this work,

I'll make this happen.

Right?

Those are like very in the mind,

Disconnected from the flow types of thoughts and ideas and energies.

And I know it's not easy,

Like,

When things get really hard,

Obviously,

That is the hardest time for us to let go of the mind and to soften and to surrender a little bit and to turn to source and to our faith and to listen to our bodies.

What I'm noticing is that,

Like,

My body has been telling me what's coming.

My body has been cluing me in this whole time.

I also notice that if we're really honest with ourselves,

Whatever is happening in our reality,

On some level,

We asked for it.

We knew it was coming.

I will say that in a different way.

We helped to create it.

And even though we may act surprised,

Like,

Here's an example,

The person that gets fired from their job,

Right?

On the surface,

They could act surprised.

Nope,

Never saw it coming.

No idea.

Blah,

Blah,

Blah.

Right?

But if they're really honest with themselves,

They probably didn't want to be there.

And even though they thought that idea was not known to anyone around them,

People pick up on that stuff.

And also,

We're always creating our reality.

So if we're always thinking about how we hate our job and we don't want to be there,

But we show up every day,

Eventually,

Our reality is going to match our inner thoughts about the thing.

So we shouldn't act so surprised when these things manifest,

Because that's how manifesting works.

So just a few of my reflections lately.

When we're going through hard things,

I think the best thing that we can do is get really quiet and really still.

Go to that internal source of wisdom.

Listen to the body.

Listen to the heart.

And we'll have our answer.

We'll know why these things are happening.

And we'll know how to navigate them and where to go and what to do.

And that is what I have found to be true in my own experience.

And it feels so much better to not resist what is naturally unfolding.

I think that is one of the biggest missed opportunities of living is that humans spend so much energy on forcing and controlling and efforting on things that are just not meant to be or just not in flow or just not happening right now,

Not the right timing.

But the mind keeps saying,

No,

Just keep going.

Just keep doing it.

You're fine.

Keep moving.

But if you listen closely,

And if you're somebody who is intuitive and aware and you have a meditative practice,

It won't be that hard to recognize the other part of you that's saying,

Stop.

Just wait.

Stop.

Look up for a minute.

What are you missing?

What is life really telling you right now?

What have you been asking for?

Maybe this is it.

And I think it's really lovely when we can just go with the flow,

That old saying.

It does feel really nice,

But we can only do that if we're willing to let go of control,

Needing to be right,

Acting from the mind and our ego.

But I'll tell you,

It is a whole lot easier to go with the flow.

And the cool thing is,

Is that I think there's this fear that if we just go with the flow,

We won't get what we want.

Or we have these ideas of what our life is supposed to be like.

And if you just let it all go,

Then how will you ever accomplish those things or experience those things?

And I think the cool thing about it is that you will.

You will.

You will be naturally guided in a way that you couldn't have predicted or thought up for yourself.

It'll be a bit easier.

There won't be as many rocks in your way,

Boulders you have to push through.

The path will be more enjoyable and it will take you on a lovely journey.

You'll see lots of cool things and experience lots of wonderful places and people.

You'll accomplish things.

You will.

And you won't have to worry so much the whole time.

You won't have to figure as many things out.

You won't have to be as stressed.

Oh,

Doesn't that feel nice?

It's like the exhale.

That you could be taken care of,

Guided to all the best things for you by just letting go and allowing.

See where life would take you.

See where life would take you.
