So today we are continuing our series on the Divine Union of the Masculine and Feminine.

And today we're talking about Inspiration and Manifestation.

So this is a really,

Really important one.

To me it's almost the most important one.

Because it's how we personally feel alive in life.

And a lot of the other dynamics definitely have to do with ourselves,

But they have a lot to do with other people,

Like how we interact with the world,

How we interact with our partners or our children or our lovers or our colleagues.

But this one is also a Masculine and Feminine dynamic.

And when we get this right,

It affects all of the other dynamics.

When we strengthen the Feminine in this dynamic,

It strengthens our Feminine in all dynamics.

When we strengthen the Masculine in this one,

It strengthens us in all dynamics.

But even more importantly,

This is the dynamic that makes us feel alive.

It makes us feel like we matter on the earth.

Because something weird goes on in our lives when we aren't actually manifesting what our inspiration is.

Like imagine how natural this is.

As a being,

We decide to incarnate on earth.

So here we are on earth.

Why are we here?

Really?

I don't mean this as a weird existential question that we are going to get depressed about or something,

Because that's a thing,

Meaning of life questions.

But just imagine,

We're here on earth.

Aren't we here to do stuff?

Aren't we here to take our soul's calling and do stuff?

Whatever that calling is.

Whether it's painting a picture,

Building a house,

Climbing a mountain,

Doing that thing over there,

Learning how to make tiramisu,

Learning Spanish.

What is it?

Isn't that kind of what makes us feel alive?

Anytime I would ever be struggling with depression or anything like that,

I would go to my friend,

Nelda,

And I'd say,

Oh,

I don't know what I'm doing.

We all know that feeling when we feel stuck.

I'll never forget one day she just looked at me and she said,

I don't think you're having enough fun.

The journey,

The cycle of inspiration and manifestation is fun.

This is joy.

I feel alive because I have an idea and I've put it out into the world.

I remember reading the book,

One,

Two,

Three,

Magic,

And it was one of my all-time favorite books on parenting.

That was Barbara Colaroso's Kids Are Worth It.

These formed me when it came to my parenting style.

But I remember one of the tenets of One,

Two,

Three,

Magic,

Was the idea was that you don't want to have constant arguments in the house.

You want to have better communication.

You want to be able to know that everybody has a say,

Even if they're three years old,

But they have a say for the ability of a three-year-old kind of idea.

And one of the things was that a child will keep pushing you to simply make an effect on the world around them.

They want to feel alive.

They want to know that they exist.

It's like throwing a pebble in a pond and you see the ripples.

You see the ripples.

I exist.

I affected that lake.

I threw a rock in that lake.

I did something and something happened.

I feel alive.

And it's sort of like that,

You know,

If a tree falls in the forest and no one's there to hear it,

It didn't make a sound.

We need to know that someone heard our sound,

That something happened out there.

This is part of being alive.

The context in the book was oftentimes a child will keep pushing the boundaries of something simply to get a reaction out of you because that's what makes them feel alive.

And of course,

That's where you do this counting thing.

And it's not just weird counting.

It's really genius.

This is us.

This is us putting a ripple out into the world.

But not to save the world,

Not to affect the world,

Not to be famous,

Not to make a bazillion dollars.

It's just a natural process that my soul had an idea,

So I did that thing.

And then my soul had another idea,

And I did that thing.

This is living.

This is a soul incarnate on earth in three dimensions in the physical manifestation of self existing in the world.

This should be very natural.

This should be the most natural thing we do.

We have an idea,

We make it happen.

And yet,

It's not natural.

It's one of the hardest things we do.

For whatever reason,

We feel stuck.

I don't think I can do that.

I'm afraid to do that.

I don't know.

In my book,

Divine Union of the Masculine and Feminine,

The first section,

The first part of this is actually called Living the Life You Were Born to Live.

Because if we aren't manifesting from our soul,

What are we doing?

It's a really important question.

Helen Keller had this great quote,

And it said,

Life is either a daring adventure,

Or it's nothing at all.

That's a really powerful quote.

And coming from Helen Keller,

We'll take that kind of punch in the arm.

Because what are we doing?

And again,

The daring adventure doesn't have to be skydiving and opening businesses or feeding the hungry.

It doesn't have to be this big-ticket item.

It could simply be the silent joy of having a daily yoga practice.

It could be the joy of deciding,

You know what?

I'm going to learn French.

One person,

They took a cookbook,

And they simply cooked every single thing in the cookbook over the course of a couple of years.

That's all they did.

That's an inspiration and a manifestation.

Do you know how much fun they had?

Do you know how alive they felt?

Do you know how little they had time for small talk and nonsense and worrying about this and worrying about that?

Because they were more interested in what tomorrow's recipe was and what new thing they were going to experience.

So it's really important not to make this inspiration-manifestation cycle into something that Hollywood's going to make a movie about.

It's just being alive.

That's all it is.

So,

Unfortunately,

We have to talk about the challenges that stand in our way.

I'd love to just say,

And here's how we do it,

Which we will talk about,

But there are weird challenges.

When we look at this from the masculine and feminine dynamic,

The feminine is the inspiration.

It's the receiving.

It's the,

An idea came through.

It came in,

And I was an empty bowl receiving this idea.

Manifestation is taking that thing and putting it out into the world.

Taking the class,

Buying the book,

Starting the practice,

Starting to do a daily walk or run or whatever you want to do.

That's the manifestation.

And then life continues to cycle.

Once you decide to do it,

You have the idea,

You do it,

And now you learn,

And then you use it,

And then you have new questions,

And then you do new things,

And it creates this epic cycle.

It doesn't end there.

Inside of that,

We continue,

We continue.

Maybe your inspiration is you want to learn how to paint,

So you join an art class,

And then you find out about watercolor,

So you do that,

And then you realize your favorite color is purple,

And you discover there's 400 kinds of purple,

And it continues.

It's an amazing cycle that now has got kicked in,

And you are alive.

The problem is this masculine and feminine is disconnected,

As it is in all of the dynamics that we've talked about.

We don't trust the feminine.

We don't even listen to the feminine.

Not only do we oppress her within each of us,

That feminine,

That voice,

Those emotional prompts,

The gut instinct,

The intuition,

The stuff that comes to us when we're sleeping or dreaming.

We not only don't listen to her,

We oppress her,

We judge her,

Just like in all the other dynamics.

We're taught a disconnected masculine.

In this case,

For example,

The disconnected masculine is doing things that have nothing to do with you.

What do they have to do with?

Why are we taught to do things?

Well,

We're taught to do things because we make money.

Maybe we're taught to do things because we make a lot of money.

Think about the conversations even when we're discussing with our children what they want to do for a living.

What university do you want to go to?

What college do you want to go to?

What kind of training do you want to get?

What's one of the number one reasons that you might do this job over this job?

Yeah,

But this one makes a lot more money.

You can really get your name out there.

We are taught attachment to outcome.

We are taught that if you're going to do something,

Well,

You better end up famous or better look good to the neighbors or you'd better make a lot of money or you'd better be.

.

.

Maybe it's all about saving the universe or saving the world from something,

But it's all about the outcome.

Because even if you want to do something altruistic and save the world and feed the hungry and do all these great things,

But you're actually doing it only because of the outcome,

You are completely disconnected from the intuition.

You're disconnected from yourself.

But what if instead you had an inspiration to do something?

What if deep in your heart you're like,

I love working with my hands.

I like people.

You know,

I think I'm going to become an electrician so I can work with people in their homes and wire them up and get them doing,

You know,

Do fun things.

My dad,

He always had this fantasy that he wanted his house to be wired like the Starship Enterprise.

So he could just walk up to a door and it would open and he could go over there and it would just dispense water.

We're getting there,

But he always had this fantasy.

What if you created a business?

What if you decided that what you wanted to do in the world was based on an inner desire that had nothing to do with the money?

It had nothing to do with the prestige in the community.

Like this is an entirely different perspective.

And very often our first jobs,

Sometimes our first jobs are just what we need to do to pay the bills.

Who are we kidding?

But oftentimes it's our second career that actually is our passion.

If we're lucky enough that our first career is our passion,

That's awesome.

But oftentimes it's not.

And if we've chosen a career because of the money,

We're in big trouble.

That's like the straight line to burnout.

It's a straight line to our relationships falling apart,

To depression,

To addiction,

To alcohol,

Drugs,

All kinds of things.

Because inside we're completely disconnected.

Our soul has become irrelevant.

We've just become sort of this ghostly hands that are out there doing stuff,

Saving the world,

Making lots of money,

Looking good to the neighbors.

But the feminine doesn't even exist.

This has nothing to do with who I really am.

And so it's a very interesting question when we ask ourselves,

Why do I do that thing?

Sometimes we even do physical exercise because of the outcome.

We run every day because I need to lose weight or I need to stay trim or I need to be fit.

I go for a walk every day because my doctor said so or because my partner is going to lecture me because I'm overweight or whatever.

Every time we go for a run,

We go for a walk,

We do the thing because of that,

We are disconnected from our soul.

There's no joy in that.

Whereas if inside you're like,

Man,

I feel like going for a run today.

Oh,

The wind on my face and the feeling of my feet on the pavement and oh,

That would feel amazing.

I feel like I have all this stagnant energy.

A run would be great.

And now you go downstairs.

Of course,

I run barefoot,

But let's say you tie your shoes,

You're going to get your music and you get out there and you go for a run and you're like,

Oh,

This feels great.

This connects the masculine and feminine within.

This creates a union within.

Do you care whether or not this is part of your fitness regime or whether you're going to lose weight because of it?

No.

You're just doing it because you want to.

This is a beautiful,

Intimate connection of the feminine and the masculine.

This is inspiration and manifestation.

I was inspired to go running,

So I went running.

I was inspired to go for a swim,

So I went for a swim.

Can you imagine living like that?

It may require an entirely different philosophy as to our connections.

For example,

To fitness and movement.

Why do we do it?

Why do we do the specific ones that we do?

Because of the outcome?

Or because it actually connects us with our soul?

Movement and exercise is part of being human.

Our organs,

Our lymphatic system,

Our heart and our lungs,

They work best when the body is active.

Why wouldn't we do it in connection with our soul,

With our truth,

With who we really are?

Sometimes we do things.

Sometimes we manifest things because they're,

Air quote,

Right.

It's the right thing to do.

Well,

What does that have to do with?

That's just external judgment.

That's what other people will think.

That's what our parents will think.

That's what the church will think.

That's what society will think.

That's what the neighbors will think.

That's what my partner will think.

That has nothing to do with inspiration.

That has nothing to do with our soul.

And then that asks us to go deeper and ask ourselves,

How do I define what's right and wrong?

What does that mean as a soul?

And of course,

Obviously I'm not talking about right and wrong like whether you're going to hurt somebody or murder someone or steal from someone.

I'm not talking about that.

We always go to that weird place that,

Oh,

But if we don't have a right or wrong filter,

I'm going to suddenly start being an axe murderer or something.

And this is a really big deal.

And I don't mean to be light about that.

Because for example,

Like back in 1999,

When I was sick and I had the breast lumps,

One of the number one things that Jim,

My teacher,

Had to teach me,

Beat into my head,

Whatever,

Was to learn to trust my intuition.

That there was no such thing as right or wrong when it came to that.

And again,

We need to exclude this weird evil or domination culture and all that stuff we talked about before.

There is real nastiness out in the world.

I'm talking about us on a soul level.

The pursuit of personal joy and happiness.

What defines something as being right or wrong on our path?

If my soul says I really feel called to learn French,

And I'm going to leave it with small things like that because we just get so overwhelmed with thinking that life is about these weird big ticket items.

And all of a sudden,

This other judgment voice comes up and says,

Katrina,

You don't have time to take French.

You've got kids to raise.

You've got to work.

You don't have time for that.

What are you thinking?

And you don't have the money.

What are you.

.

.

It's not right.

You shouldn't be doing this.

Whatever.

Or it's not right that you have that job,

Or you leave that job,

Or you date that person,

Or you divorce that person,

Or you have a child,

Or you don't have a child.

Who in the world can say whether these are right or wrong for your path here incarnate on Earth?

Sometimes we really need to take this up to 50,

000 feet and look down at us and ask ourselves,

Why are all these souls incarnate here on Earth?

Surely it's not just to follow the right and wrong of some external institution or idea of the society.

So then all of a sudden we ask ourselves,

What if right is simply in line with my soul?

That is actually the true meaning of the word righteous,

That it is in line with God,

That it is in line with who you are.

In Hindu philosophy,

Atman is the personal God that lives right here in our heart center.

This is no different than the teachings of Jesus within Christianity,

That the Holy Spirit is in us.

We have to follow this.

This is righteousness.

It isn't some external church's belief systems or dogma.

It's within us.

So then all of a sudden righteousness,

Choosing the right path,

Is actually listening to my soul.

This is why you're here.

This is the point.

This is the path.

Who else can tell us what path we're supposed to be on?

Whether we are blood-related,

Whether we love them and we've married them,

Or we are part of a family of friends.

Who in the world can hear what your soul is saying?

This is really,

Really important.

And then all of a sudden this asks us to have an entirely different philosophy of life.

That suddenly the feminine,

The feminine within us,

That inspiration,

Our emotions,

Those gut instincts,

Our truth,

That I am moment,

That part of who we are,

That feminine is our guide.

In all of the masculine-feminine dynamics,

The masculine is born of the feminine.

The masculine rises out of the feminine need,

Desire,

Direction,

Everything.

Imagine in our lives living like that,

What I manifest always comes from my soul.

It always comes from my desires,

My truth,

What would bring me joy,

What would bring me happiness.

Imagine how happy we would be.

But we have issues with the feminine in all aspects.

We don't trust her.

We don't like mystery.

We don't like the unknown.

We don't like chaos.

And again,

Chaos isn't a negative thing.

Chaos is simply untapped potential.

It is unstructured possibilities.

So all of a sudden you have an idea and you're like,

Well,

What if I did take that class?

Just like last night,

I teach belly dance on Tuesday nights.

And I've had a bunch of people message me and say,

Can I just come and try it once because I'm really nervous and I'm really stiff and I don't know what I,

You know,

I'm really,

I'm just really kind of freaked out.

The idea of taking a belly dance class can be terrifying.

That can be a terrifying idea because it's very different.

You're surrounded by strangers.

What if you're no good?

And besides that,

As women,

Especially men have other issues with this,

But as women,

We are taught to judge heavily everything between our shoulders and our knees.

And all of a sudden you're going to go to a dance class where that's all we're focusing on.

This is very triggering.

This is a huge thing.

It's like,

Ah,

Okay,

Forget it.

I'm just going to stay home and watch Grey's Anatomy.

So the idea of actually doing that,

Like manifesting that inspiration,

There's some chaos in there.

There's some unknown.

There's some mystery in there that I don't know.

I don't know where this is going to go.

And what if I'm terrible at it?

What if I'm embarrassed?

Mystery,

Unknown,

Chaos.

But we're taught to run from that.

We're taught to stay comfortable.

Stay in the comfort zone.

This is where Helen Keller's mantra comes into my mind and says,

Life is either a daring adventure or it's nothing at all.

Why not take the belly dance class?

Whatever that is for you.

It could be anything.

But why not?

What in the world do we have to lose?

So we're not the best person in the class.

Who cares?

I intentionally teach belly dance in studios where there are no mirrors.

Because all I care about is what it feels like.

All I care about is that we jump around in music like a bunch of crazy people and we feel our bodies and we laugh and we giggle and at the end we're exhausted.

That's all I care about.

There is no achievement here.

There's no,

Oh wow,

Aren't they a great belly dancer.

There are people in my class who started taking belly dance with me 17 years ago.

They have been dancing with me for 17 years.

And there are people in there who just started last night.

And you know what?

Nobody cares.

It doesn't matter.

Because it's just fun.

But we have so much judgment and so much fear about looking silly because we've had so much judgment in our life.

But if we trust the feminine,

If we trust the unknown,

The chaos,

The mystery of life,

We're like,

I do really want to go.

But wow,

I'm kind of freaked out.

Well,

You know what?

I'm going to do it.

This is courage.

This is what courage really is.

Courage isn't doing something silly.

Courage is doing something that's exciting to your soul.

And exciting doesn't mean easy.

It means that it makes us feel alive.

Like,

Oh,

That's a little scary.

What if we embraced things that scared us?

Again,

That we feel inspired to do.

Not something that someone else thinks we should do and it scares us.

It comes from within.

We're honoring the feminine.

Because what happens is,

Every time we honor the feminine,

Every time we honor that little voice inside that says,

Oh,

I so would love to do it,

And we do it,

We end up having courage in all aspects of our life.

We suddenly have the courage to do things everywhere.

Again,

It all comes from within.

And we have to get over this idea that comfort is the goal.

That adventure,

No,

That's not me.

I'll just go back and do the thing I've always done.

So then how do we develop this feminine intuition?

How do we do that?

Sometimes we do it in crisis.

When things really matter,

We sit down and we ask,

We pray.

You know they always say there's no atheists in the foxhole?

Because in a moment of crisis,

We're like,

I don't know what to do,

So I'm going to ask for help.

And we ask for help.

But we can also do it in our day-to-day life,

In little things.

And I really mean little things.

One of my favorite things to do,

In terms of intuition,

And again,

We can have no attachment to outcome here,

Which is why it's so important.

My favorite thing to do on a day-to-day basis is listen to my intuition to figure out how to walk somewhere,

Or how to drive somewhere.

I'm walking,

Maybe I'm out walking the dog,

And a little part of me says,

Let's turn right here.

And I never turn right here.

And I turn right.

And then my intuition says,

Well maybe we should go down that road.

And I'll tell you,

Even on something as simple as walking the dog,

My brain will come in and say,

Katrina,

We don't have time to do that today.

We just have to get her around the block,

And then we're going to get back and go to work.

Or,

No,

I'll just go the normal way I always go.

But my inner voice was like,

No,

Let's go this way.

There's nothing riding on the choice.

Sometimes cool things happen,

And I run into people.

So last week,

I went to this author's event.

It was really cool.

It was a group of people in Goddridge who are all authors,

And they get together once a month.

And I got invited to this event.

And it was so cool.

It was the coolest thing.

I so enjoyed it.

And a woman came up to me,

And she said,

Katrina,

It's so nice to meet you.

I've been following you for years,

And I'm just so excited to finally meet you in person.

It was really,

Really sweet,

And she was really nice.

So yesterday,

So this is a week later,

Yesterday I'm out walking Storm.

It's beautiful out.

It's like 18 degrees Celsius.

It's just gorgeous.

Storm and I are walking,

And again,

This little voice in my head says,

Go up that street.

And I argued with it,

Because I was tired,

And I didn't actually feel like walking that far.

But just as I was trying to make the other turn,

I was like,

God,

Let's do it,

Katrina,

Go.

So I walk up this other street.

I keep walking up the street.

I turn right,

And I'm walking along,

And all of a sudden,

That woman came running out of her house.

Katrina,

I can't believe it.

I literally just finished sending you a long message on Facebook,

And here you are walking by my kitchen window.

And it's like,

How funny is that?

And then we got chit-chatting,

And eventually I said,

You should come to belly dance class tonight.

We all go out for snacks after.

Next thing you know,

She's coming to belly dance class.

We go out for snacks.

She meets everybody.

It's super fun.

And all I did was walk down a certain road walking my dog.

But this is my favorite game with intuition.

Most of the time,

Nothing interesting happens,

But that is significant.

It's really significant that nothing normally happens that I know of,

Because it breaks our attachment in this inspiration-manifestation cycle that if I'm inspired and I manifest something,

A miracle has to happen,

Or I have to become famous,

Or I have to make a lot of money,

Or this has to be the big break,

Or it has to affect someone's life in some way.

It doesn't.

The joy is in the merging of the masculine and feminine.

The joy is in the manifestation of doing something that our soul wants to do.

It doesn't matter how it affects anything out there.

And when we can lose that,

When we can lose that attachment to what's out there,

All of a sudden,

Our masculine and feminine start to roll together.

All of a sudden,

We take that class and we don't know why.

And we actually forget that we were ever even afraid to take it,

Because we're already five years into our new artistic journey.

As soon as we release that attachment,

Life is epic.

It's amazing.

So the other challenge sometimes is that we say,

Well,

I want to do cool stuff,

But I don't have any ideas.

I don't have anything cool to do.

So then what?

What do I do if I just,

I don't know what to do?

Well,

Carolyn Mace wrote a book.

I think it was in the book called Why Some People Heal or Why They Don't or something like that.

It was a book she wrote a long time ago.

And in there,

She defined a dark night of the soul as life,

When you've asked for an answer,

You've asked a question,

But you didn't like the answer.

So you're waiting for an alternative.

And you end up throwing yourself into a limbo state,

Because you're not listening to your intuition.

You're not listening to your truth.

You don't like that truth.

So now you're kind of in purgatory,

Stuck between worlds.

So that's the first thing,

That it's possible that you do have an idea.

You do know something.

There is something you want to do.

But way back when,

You said no.

So that's the first question.

Is there something small?

It's not big.

These are all very small things.

The most incredible serendipity in my life always comes from the tiniest thing.

Joining the YMCA.

One time,

I told a story at a family gathering,

About a woman who had read my book,

What If You Could Skip the Cancer?

And she had stage four cancer.

And she ended up going away to a retreat,

Where they did all these juice cleanses,

And they did meditation,

And all this stuff.

She reversed the cancer.

She wasn't fixed,

But the cancer wasn't so acute.

And she decided that she was going to do an Ironman triathlon.

She wasn't going to do the treatments,

But she was going to do this Ironman triathlon.

An Ironman triathlon is insane.

I don't know exactly what it is,

But I think it's like a five-kilometer swim.

Then you bike a hundred kilometers or something,

And then you run a marathon.

It's something off the charts.

And so she called home to her family,

And she said,

I'm not going to do the treatments.

And in fact,

I'm going to do this instead.

I don't care if you support me or not.

This is my choice.

And 11 of her friends rallied around her,

Trained with her,

And they all did the Ironman triathlon the next year.

And she was cancer-free when she did it.

So I had just gotten this email from this woman.

And so here I share this at this family gathering,

And understanding my family,

Cancer is a huge deal in my family.

And my cousins,

My older cousins,

Whose mom was my mom's older sister,

Who had also died of cancer,

They said,

The one woman said,

Who is kind of my twin.

Anyway,

It doesn't matter.

But she had cancer at that time.

And she says,

Well,

You know what?

I really want to run the Disney marathon.

Would you guys all rally around me to run the Disney marathon with me?

And at this point,

I couldn't run for 10 seconds.

Physically,

I'm not a gazelle.

I'm physically a heavy person.

I have heavy bones.

I'm just,

I'm a swimmer and a dancer.

You know what I mean?

So I didn't want to do it.

And then my daughter was sitting behind me on the couch,

And she goes,

Well,

Mom,

I'll train with you.

And I thought,

Oh,

Shoot.

So next thing you know,

I'm sitting at my train station,

Because I used to own this train station that I taught out of.

And I'm sitting at this train station,

And I'm just like,

Oh,

No.

This guy walks in,

Who was a local doctor,

Who I'd recently met at Radio Shack,

Because he had also read my book.

And he walks,

And he goes,

Katrina,

What's going on?

I said,

Oh,

I've agreed to run the Disney marathon.

I said,

I can't run?

And he says,

Well,

You know what?

I'm exploring natural running.

I teach you how to run.

And this began this entire journey of natural running,

Barefoot running.

I started running 5Ks barefoot,

All these things.

He and I started teaching barefoot running workshops.

It exploded into this entire world of running for me from this one little thing,

Just this tiny little thing.

This is why it's so important.

Those tiny little nudges,

Just do them.

Whatever they are,

Just do them.

And the second thing,

If you don't have a lot of ideas,

You might be judging them before you even try.

If you've lived with a lot of judgment in your life,

If you've lived with family,

In families where if you said,

Oh,

I've got this great idea,

Someone's going to say,

Ugh,

Why would you do that?

That's ridiculous.

You know,

That neighbor down the road,

They did that thing,

And that was ridiculous.

Did you see that thing they did?

Oh,

And their children,

They've made these ridiculous life choices,

And their parents are just beside themselves.

Like if you were raised at a family table that you listen to that all the time,

You will be terrified to do anything.

Those ideas,

They can't even come in.

You've already got a wall up so thick,

The ideas can't come in,

Because somebody out there is going to think it's crazy.

Somebody.

And if we are concerned that there is anyone out in the 7 billion people on the planet that might think that my idea is crazy,

There's no point any ideas coming through.

So it just might be really important to kind of look into our childhood and look into our life,

Or maybe there was one incident that didn't work out,

And you considered it an air quote failure.

And you're like,

I don't want to feel like that again.

But again,

People who accomplish a lot in life,

They fail,

Or whatever you want to call it,

All the time.

I do a lot in life.

I teach a lot.

I've done a lot.

But I can tell you honestly,

I owned a dance studio.

I owned a train station where I taught classes.

I taught dance and tantra and yoga and da-da-da-da.

And of all the classes and workshops I've ever put together,

I have cancelled as many as ran.

Because people didn't sign up.

It's normal.

It's a normal part of doing things in the world.

Sometimes things work,

Sometimes they don't.

And you just get on to the next one.

Honestly,

Talk to anybody who does a lot.

They'll tell you the exact same thing.

It's water under the bridge.

Well,

Now I know better.

And you just get on with it.

But that is not something we're taught.

We're taught in schools that you have to get the A.

You have to get the award.

You have to be on the honour roll.

You have to be able to be judged highly.

We have to get rid of all that training inside of us so that the ideas can come in.

Then the ideas come in and we try it.

And it works,

It doesn't work.

Who cares?

The fun was in the trying.

That's the joy.

And that's the whole thing about this masculine-feminine union.

It's just the union that brings joy.

It has nothing to do with anything else.

So thank you so much for being here.

And I hope you have a wonderful day.
