Hello.

Thank you for joining me today.

This is entitled,

Breathe and Let it All Go.

Take a moment to find a comfortable seat and close your eyes.

Inhale deeply and exhale through the mouth,

Letting everything release.

If you're tuning in right now,

You're probably feeling overwhelmed by the constant pandemic worry,

The civil unrest and political divide,

Perhaps the uneasiness about your child returning to school or an ailing parent.

There are so many layers of stress to cope with right now and in any turbulent time.

It wears on each of us in varying ways.

We need to be patient with ourselves and honor the emotions that are bubbling up within,

But we can manage them with breath.

With your eyes still closed,

Let's begin to regulate your breath.

We'll start with an inhale for three beats.

Hold when the lungs are full and then we'll exhale for five beats,

Letting all the air escape through the mouth.

Ready?

Take a deep inhale for one,

Two,

Three and hold.

Now exhale two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Again,

Inhale two,

Three,

Hold and exhale two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

You should feel your body release some tension when you focus on your breath.

If worrying thoughts pop into your head,

Simply dismiss them without judgment and return your concentration to the inhale exhale.

Let's do another round.

This time we'll simply do three slow beats of inhale and three slow beats of exhale.

Take a deep breath.

One,

Two,

Three and exhale one,

Two,

Three.

Again,

Inhale one,

Two,

Three and hold and exhale one,

Two,

Three.

Take five minutes to do this simple breathing pattern.

Anytime you feel stress or anxiety attacking your mind,

You'll feel more centered,

Grounded and able to resume your daily activity with mindfulness and purpose.

Thank you so much for joining me today and have a peaceful day.
