My name is Keith Parker.

I'm co-founder of Field Dynamics Energy Healing.

A lot of people are interested in this idea of energetic blockage,

Of energy blocks.

They're drawn to healing work to address these things.

So in the course of this talk,

We will do an overview of what that means in general,

What we mean when we say energy.

In the context here,

It's an energy block.

So what do we mean when we say energy?

I'll try and describe the mechanics of what an energy block is like from an energy field or a multidimensional perspective.

We'll go over some of the sources of energy blocks,

Some ways to think about healing blocks,

How might they be resolved,

What approaches you might take,

And what kind of perspectives that are useful to have when addressing things like what we're calling energy blocks.

So thank you again so much for joining me.

Now,

There's something like a writer's block,

Right?

We're not talking about something like that.

We're trying to be specific,

And why is there this term?

How can we understand more specifically what is meant by energy blockage or energetic blockage?

So very straightforward.

Energy in this case,

And what we're talking about,

Energy is electromagnetic.

It has to do with blockage in your energy field,

In your energy system.

And what is that energy?

Energy is electromagnetic.

It's made of light.

It's the electromagnetic field that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body.

Now,

You might have experience with this kind of phenomena.

You might have approaches or techniques or direct knowledge of your energy system,

Your energy field.

You might be sensitive to energy.

But on the flip side,

You may be somebody who is really not in touch with energy,

May be very skeptical,

Or even kind of,

It's not within your belief structure that such a thing would exist.

And that's totally reasonable,

Totally fine.

I'm gonna try and come at this from a balanced perspective.

And also just to back up that I'm coming to this,

I'm speaking to you and sharing with you from seeing the human energy field very,

Very clearly.

And I myself,

If you're a skeptic like I used to be,

I went through a lot of different practices focusing on essentially meditation and trying to understand what general awakening and enlightenment was through direct experience.

And over time,

What happened is my perception really significantly opened up to the point where I could see these things called meridian channels and chakras and the energy field and multiple dimensions and all this stuff.

And granted,

That is esoteric,

It's strange.

On some level,

I'm hesitant to share that kind of knowledge or that kind of perspective,

In part only because it can create a sense of separation that maybe I have a perspective or rather I have some skill that you don't,

But I feel responsible.

I feel like I've chosen to communicate and to convey the insights that I have and I'm able to have because of this extrasensory perception,

If you will.

And it's nothing that I ever intended to have happened or to develop.

It happened as a consequence of certain kinds of openings.

So I think it's really relevant,

Really valuable.

And what we're gonna see when I go through the different layers of trying to understand and wrap your mind around an energy block is actually that the foundational insight as to what energy blocks is,

Is that it has to do with stuff in your energy field,

Stuff in your electromagnetic field.

But at the moment,

Right,

Engaging with and understanding and working with the energy field is pretty much specific to healers and certain spiritual communities and the new age and a very small slice of the population.

But in other talks that I do,

What I show is that contemporary cutting edge science is actually starting to pave the way to understand how the electromagnetic field,

How the electromagnetic field is playing a very intrinsic part in the functioning of biology.

And there was a massive,

Massive opportunity for us.

And really we're at a starting point,

Really a fulcrum point at the beginning of understanding what the human is.

And one of these key things is going to be starting to work into what,

In some traditions is known as subtle energy or the subtle realms or the invisible worlds or the metaphysical,

But there's more straightforward ways of understanding it.

The baseline is it's electromagnetism.

And what is the relationship of your electromagnetic field to your physical body?

And that is a massive question.

If we were to focus on that and to invest a lot of research and to understand how that's working,

The correlation,

The analog,

Then we would potentially really start to discover who and what we are more,

What consciousness is,

What the mind is and what health is.

So this all feeds into something very,

Very important,

I think,

And I hope this talk can contribute to your personal understanding,

Your personal journey and quest around working with energy,

Working with energy blocks.

So what is your energy field functioning as?

We're gonna start with that.

Like I said,

I see the energy field very clearly.

So the question is,

If we have an energy block,

What is it for that field to be moving in the first place?

So energy flows in your field,

Much like we would imagine water flowing down a stream.

There's kind of a pressure,

The water's moving downward in general,

And there's a certain symmetry to the stream.

There's a certain kind of a flow.

Energy very is related to this term flow.

So in your energy field,

Flow is always happening.

And I mean,

Literally all the time,

There is flow in your energy field.

And we can see an analog in the physical when we look at hurricanes,

For instance.

And we see that a meteorologist on the news,

We see the satellite view of a hurricane,

And the hurricane is a lot of wind,

Right?

A lot of pressure spinning around the center.

And we look from overhead,

It looks like a hole in the center known as the eye of the storm,

Which is still,

Which is dark usually,

And has a lot of pressure or wind elements flowing around it.

Now,

Metaphysically,

If you will,

And there are so many traditions that focus on the idea of the elements being very important to understanding energy.

We might think of it as the metaphysical elements,

If you will.

The energy is flowing around your field all of the time.

And you only need to look at what are known as toroidal mechanics,

The mechanics of the tube torus,

Kind of the master structure of your field,

Which is essentially a circle.

From the side,

It looks more like an oval,

Like almost like an egg shape,

A bulbous egg.

But from the top,

It would be a circle,

Just like in the hurricane example I'm giving.

So your energy field's always flowing.

Now,

There are flows in clockwise and counterclockwise directions,

Which are actually centripetal and centrifugal forces,

That which spins out to the periphery and that which spins to center,

Right?

But there's also vertical flows up and down.

These might be called ascending and descending currents.

Okay,

And overall,

Because we have this left,

Right,

Up,

Down kind of orientation,

It actually means that any angle you could possibly imagine is possible for the energy to flow.

And the most complex thing that I'm not going to delve into deeply around trying to envision the energy field is that it's actually multi-dimensionally structured,

Meaning that there are dimensions,

Not just length,

Width,

And height.

A dimension would actually be,

In a sense,

Its own space of length,

Width,

And height,

Its own sense of spatiality,

Okay?

And that would be a single dimension.

And moving from dimension to dimension is actually a matter of rotation through center.

And I talk about this a lot in lectures and discussions around Kundalini system,

Structures of awakening and enlightenment,

Et cetera,

Et cetera.

So point being,

It's a complex information system,

Okay?

Your energy field,

It's very complex,

In fact.

Again,

We're at the infancy of starting to understand this.

However,

We can understand that there is a flow,

Regardless of dimension,

There is a flow.

And that flow is very much like,

As I was saying,

Very much like the wind in the storm,

Right?

And it can be flowing in all these different directions.

Now,

What is an energy block,

Right?

An energy block is some kind of distortion,

Some kind of fragmentation,

Some kind of a place,

If you imagine the river analogy,

It'd be like a boulder in the river.

So the water would be flowing very evenly,

Right?

But when it hits the boulder,

It actually goes around it,

Right,

And there's a disruption,

Both in the strength and in the symmetry.

And those two things relate to overall flow in the field.

And in many ways,

What it's actually contributing to is what I'm suggesting is something more like what we would think of as vitality and health in many ways,

Because a healthy energy field,

The more developed it gets,

The faster it actually can flow,

The more synchronized all of the dimensions or levels are,

And the more balanced the overall flow is.

So energy blocks create distortions in the flow.

It would be very much actually,

Here's a very good,

Another way of thinking about it.

We know,

We can imagine a crystal structure,

Like if you had something like a paperweight,

Right,

That was just a clear crystal.

And if light flows through it,

The light isn't refracted,

Right,

Or diffracted,

It isn't broken up,

Okay?

There's a clear image sent from one side through the other.

If you were to take a hammer and smash the paperweight and then put light through it,

We'd see that the light would actually fracture very significantly,

It would splinter.

And the image that the light is portraying,

Right,

Any of those reflections would actually be splintered into many different reflections.

Now,

It's very much also a way of thinking about what is an energy block in your field.

What it does is because it is the phenomena based in electromagnetism,

You have a light field,

An energy field,

When there is a distortion in it,

A fragmentation,

What's happening is that that light is actually not flowing through it well,

That energy is not flowing through it well,

Okay?

Now,

What is the content of an energy block?

The content is psycho-emotional,

Meaning it's stuff,

Psycho meaning psyche,

Meaning content of the mind,

Content of your mentation,

What we think of as thoughts and beliefs and memories.

Now,

This is something that is purely theoretical from a field dynamics model,

The modality that I'm part of.

I'm not gonna tell you this is what mainstream science thinks,

But from my own direct perception,

I believe that we'll discover in due time,

Just as brain science is now discovering that the brain is functioning or interfacing through a multi-dimensional geometric interface,

This is from the Blue Brain Project.

That is the very,

Very beginning,

Okay?

This is just three,

Four years old,

Cutting edge brain science.

It's the very beginning of understanding that biology is actually interfacing the energy field,

And that what we think of as memory,

Which there are all kinds of theories about where is memory,

But also thoughts themselves,

That thoughts,

Like if I think I'm going to the store,

Or if I think I wanna eat an apple,

Or if I think,

Wow,

I really love my wife,

If I think any of those things,

That there's actually a thought form.

This is a very old term,

Thought form.

But that thinking has structure,

And this might seem very,

Very strange,

Okay?

Thinking has structure,

And the more complex the thought,

The more it has a connection to different things,

The more kind of nuanced that thought form will be.

And again,

I can see this,

So I know it's true,

But I'm telling you this as a theoretical model,

Okay?

Now,

That's a big deal to consider that a thought is a thing,

That a thought has a structure.

Because what it leads us to is understanding what might be the mechanism of understanding how something like an energy block,

What is the relationship between psycho-emotional blockage and the physical body?

What is the connection between the energy field and the physical body?

Very,

Very good question,

Right?

So in field dynamics,

We use what we call a field-first model,

Okay?

A field-first model,

Which is that things that happen in the energy field,

Things that are happening psycho-emotionally,

Can make their way,

Okay,

Can densify into lower dimensions or can densify into the physical body,

Because the energy field is much lighter,

In a sense,

Than the physical body when we think of heaviness versus lightness.

So what is it to have the thought,

I'm really anxious,

I'm really,

Really anxious and afraid of doing that thing that I'm supposed to do.

And the thing that you're supposed to do is a week away or two weeks away,

And you keep putting it off and you keep dealing with that anxiety,

You keep dealing with that internal stress,

And that thought comes up consciously or unconsciously throughout the day for a period of a week or two,

I'm really anxious and fearful doing that thing.

That thought form,

Which is quite literally a structure,

A structure in your multi-dimensional energy field,

What that's actually doing,

It's starting to augment the way,

It's creating a behavioral groove in the relationship between how the energy field and the body are connected.

This is something like the placebo effect,

For instance,

Is straightforward scientific kind of proof that there is a mind-body connection that's very significant,

But trying to connect the dots in Western medicine has not been done really whatsoever in any kind of significant way.

In the model that I'm suggesting to you is that what's happening in our psycho-emotional makeup winds up affecting our physical body.

And if something is not dealt with,

If something is not resolved,

If something's not addressed,

If stress is not de-stressed,

Then what can happen is that the physical body starts to have symptoms.

It starts to not function well.

It starts to lose vitality.

Things can happen with disease or organ problems,

Et cetera,

Et cetera,

Et cetera.

You all get this.

I mean,

Anybody knows,

It's actually very straightforward on a certain level,

That if you're experiencing a significant amount of stress for a prolonged period of time,

You're likely to have health issues,

Okay?

It's not because your body necessarily has the problem first.

That's the model that we're saying first.

It is actually that the mind first is what receives the experience,

And that you can then attune to that and neutralize that and resolve that so that the body doesn't actually have that undue stress or that stress turn into physical symptomology.

Now,

There are ways,

Of course,

Where the physical body takes impact and stress and that can sublimate into the mind,

But we're talking more about energy blocks,

Okay?

So one very significant thing to be thinking about with energy blocks is they create distortions in your field.

Distortion is the particular word.

Fragmentation comes from the shamanic tradition,

But it creates a distortion in your field.

Now,

A very important principle that's not very well understood is that an energy block actually distorts your own perception.

Now,

We know that light is a very important principle in the sense that we see through the eyes.

Now,

We know that light comes in through the eyes and that we see through the eyes,

And again,

That the brain,

Essentially your eyes are an extension of your brain.

You're actually seeing your brain through your eyes.

It's the one place where the brain essentially has a surface level contact.

And so light comes in through the eyes and we get a sense of perception as to our visual field.

But what's going on with energy blocks is actually that,

Because it does work with light,

Perception is distorted where we actually can perceive our body and our field is distorted based on an energy block.

So for instance,

I'll keep it very simple.

If you happen to have an energy block over here in your field,

Okay,

Let's say it's a foot and a half out to diagonally off of my right shoulder over here,

Okay?

If I learn to perceive,

If I learn to sense subtle energy,

What'll happen is if I actually move my attention with some efficiency and I move it towards this area and I compare this area to the area over here,

Over here where there's clarity,

What I'll notice is actually that there's a distortion in my perception in that area,

Okay?

It might be distortion in the sense that I don't perceive well there.

It might be distortion in the sense that when I actually put my attention there,

I notice that there's quite a difference between being here and being there,

Okay?

And so what's happening is that our energy blocks are actually distorting our ability to see clearly our energy field and the physical body,

Which is within that energy field.

So there's a very simple and direct way of learning to track or to recognize energy blocks,

Which is just to work with bare attention and to notice where you have clarity or a lack of clarity.

This is very important.

I do this a lot with other people in terms of training work.

It's the foundational skill of learning to track and recognize blockages,

Is noticing the quality or the clarity of your perception in any given place within the space of the body or around your field as you learn to move your attention more and more out into your field.

And so what's happening here,

Okay,

Let's just take it one more step,

Is that that's actually creating a filter of perception.

It's creating a filter of perception.

So what that means is that just like driving a car and you had all kinds of mud on the windshield,

What that would do is it would make it hard for you to see where you're going and it would make it hard for you to interpret what's out there,

Right?

Your directionality is confused,

But even understanding what's out there is confused,

Right?

So what happens with our distortions,

With our energy blocks is they become filters of perception.

And what happens is we actually are seeing and interfacing with the world and seeing and interfacing with our sense of self through those distortions.

They actually filter our perception through those distortions and we actually derive meaning through it.

So for instance,

Really straightforward without getting into this more esoteric way of understanding it through the energy field,

If somebody had a relationship with a parent and the parent was particularly aggressive,

Right?

You had a parent who was really,

Really intense around discipline and aggression,

But a very intense figure,

Right?

You would then,

And let's just say,

Hypothetically,

That that was uncomfortable and that created an energy block,

Okay?

It created a distortion in your perception.

It was traumatizing.

You're gonna go through the world and you're going to actually see other people.

You're going to interpret relationships that at times people's behavior are gonna be filtered through that fear of a person who is particularly aggressive and like the parent,

Okay?

And sometimes you might have a good judgment on that,

But maybe a lot of the time,

A person whose actions are not so aggressive might be interpreted as aggressive because you have fear instilled in you in relation to that.

Does that make sense?

So our blocks,

Our experiences,

Our imprints,

Our thought patterns,

Our memories,

Our emotional blockages,

Our emotional hang-ups,

Our traumas,

Become perceptual filters for us to both experience the world through and therefore interpret it.

So it's really,

Really important to clear up these blocks because in clearing them,

We actually make space for us to have freedom,

Freedom of perception,

Clarity of self-perception,

And clarity to actually derive more clear meaning from experience,

Which is really,

Really important.

I mean,

However you think something,

Whatever you derive,

However it is that you're deriving meaning from something is that which informs your actions towards it,

Right?

Really,

Really important.

I mean,

Could something be more important in a sense?

So where might some of these sources of energy blocks be?

Okay,

For instance,

We have something like the inner child.

Western psychology focuses on this a lot.

This has to do with,

For instance,

The story of your life,

Your narrative as a personality.

You were born here and you had these parents and this family or this upbringing,

And that happened and this happened and this happened and this happened and this happened,

Yada,

Yada,

Yada,

Yada,

Right?

We have a story and the inner child is essentially the process of healing or retrieving,

Excuse me,

Retrieving that initial vitality,

Joyousness,

Innocence,

Curiosity that we have as babies.

And as babies,

We're very fluid,

We're very soft,

We're very malleable.

And what happens is in the development of a personality through growing up,

Through becoming a young adult,

Becoming through teenage years and into adulthood,

We form a personality.

And that personality is a kind of compensatory mechanism.

It's a way of interfacing and relating to the world and establishing relationships and having a persona means a mask,

Having a kind of an interface with the society,

Culture,

Family,

People that you've grown up with.

But there is this thing in us that gets locked up.

Everybody has it to a greater or lesser extent,

Which is that innocence,

That curiosity,

That thing that is so joyous about being in the world and that when stimulation comes in,

There's expression.

And when stimulation comes in,

There's expression.

There's a tremendous amount of freedom in that.

That is healing the inner child.

There's a lot of stuff and very significant things to the modeling we have in the development of personality and the retrieval of that joyous,

Innocent component in all of us and that is the inner child.

I'll be a little quicker on these next two.

That is another one is ancestral.

So ancestral has to do with what is it that we're inheriting consciously or unconsciously from our family,

Direct family,

And even through our many generations back.

So shamanic traditions,

Native American traditions,

At times we'll focus on,

For instance,

Going back about seven generations and that things that have happened going back that far,

Which is about 150 years,

Are still having consequences today in our lives.

And there are a lot of very interesting reasons to be considering that.

We obviously know that a mode of transmission of information as to our ancestry is genetics,

But there may be other modes of transmission.

There may be energetic modes of transmission that are very interesting to consider,

But ancestral healing is certainly relevant and a source of energy blocks.

Many of our beliefs,

By the way,

Our value systems and beliefs come through ancestry,

Come through family conditioning.

And these are very,

Very hard to see clearly because of the nature of how a family construction or how an immediate social interaction creates a value system that isn't necessarily aligned with the best version of what a value system could be or even the morals of good and bad or ethics of good and bad.

It's gonna be based on rules of engagement based in that particular relational structure.

And this is very hard to get through,

But we have a lot to work through as individuals to kind of see what kind of inherited beliefs,

Belief structures and assumptions and presumptions we have about relational exchanges based on those initial familial and ancestral relationships.

Another source is called transpersonal.

Transpersonal is in reference to what's sometimes called past lives.

Past lives don't have to be considered a literal thing.

However,

What happens when you do very,

Very deep healing work in general,

There are many communities that are focused on this,

Certainly advanced meditation communities.

What happens is there is a kind of transpersonal memory that everybody is connected to.

And most people in their lifetime are not going to come into transpersonal memory,

But transpersonal memory is essentially when you have an experience of remembering yourself,

Recalling some kind of experience,

And usually there's a very strong psycho-emotional block or psycho-emotional charge behind it of being somebody else in some other context that you don't actually understand or identify as being yourself.

Now,

The way in which this is happening,

That transpersonal phenomena happens,

There are a lot of different ways to consider it,

But I'm telling you that it is definitely true from personal experience and from the tens of millions of thousands of different researchers and doctors and even institutions like universities that have studied this kind of phenomena.

It is a phenomena in the psyche,

But it could be like a dream language,

Something symbolic,

And that could be very straightforward that it's not literal whatsoever,

It's actually purely metaphorical.

It could be something that is literal,

Something like transmigration or the idea of reincarnation.

It also could be something like,

What I find rather curious is something like the collective mind.

So this is where we could understand that we're all connected to the overarching human psyche.

And then as we go deeper and probe to go to the base or the roots of the psyche,

What happens is as we move to the trunk of the tree from the branches and the leaves,

Everybody is a leaf,

Let's say,

And as we move down to the trunk or into the roots of the collective human mind,

We actually come into contact with other experiences that other humans have had that have some kind of resonance or relevance to us in that healing process.

So yet another consideration for how that might be happening.

There's even another one,

Which is birth patterning.

There can sometimes be very,

Very deep things imprinted in a person from the experience from the moment of conception into birth itself.

Those nine months in the womb can have quite a lot of conditioning.

That's an interesting subject and some communities focus on that.

And another one would be trauma,

Of course.

Anything that is a very severe life experience that creates a deep trauma that we're recognizing as a traumatic experience.

And of course,

These things are going to affect all levels of your being,

Your body,

Your mind,

And the relationship to spirit,

Because there's always going to be a strong physiological and a psycho-emotional component to trauma.

So how can you heal energy blocks?

There are a lot of modalities out there.

Truthfully,

Anything that you do to bring more self-awareness,

Self-consciousness,

Reflective analysis,

All of those things are going to start to get the ball rolling regarding resolving these things.

You need to be looking for it in the first place.

You need to be interested in taking experience as this is a principle.

You need to be interested in taking experience and seeing it as an opportunity for growth and learning.

Can you kind of anchor?

Can you see that your life,

Every moment,

From a very high perspective and from a very useful evolutionary perspective,

Is actually here to teach you,

For you to learn and grow,

Rather than to wither and crumble,

Right?

Rather,

To actually grow,

To be nourished by your experience.

And the only way that you can continue to grow and be nourished by experience is if you see it as an opportunity,

As if you're grateful and you're accepting of what it is,

Even if it's challenging,

Even if it's uncomfortable,

Even if everything in you seems to want it to go away or not be that way,

Or to blame or judge or avoid,

If you can keep anchoring and developing the ability to see life as an opportunity,

As a learning experience,

You will be able to catalyze and transmute experience into growth.

Everything is really an opportunity from that perspective.

And that's really the highest perspective that you can have at any given time,

Because it suffices that in every moment you're seeing it as an opportunity.

There's gratitude and acceptance and appreciation in that all the time,

Suffused from that perspective.

I think you get that.

So,

But you can use many modalities,

For instance.

So I,

For instance,

Specialize in energy work,

Energy healing,

I've done a lot of body work as well.

I've tried,

Breath work can be very,

Very useful,

But of course,

Psychoanalysis,

Psychotherapy,

Whatever you're really attracted to,

There's really a lot of different approaches to working with clearing energy blocks.

As you get more and more refined with it,

As you get more and more nuanced with it,

Things that really specialize in the energy field and specialize in the subconscious are gonna be particularly useful.

That's why I specialize in energy work and energy healing,

Because nothing is able to get at the unconscious,

The deep consciousness,

That energy work can.

I believe that,

And I've seen that firsthand with myself and others.

So I think I've covered a pretty broad ground of trying to understand what energy blocks are.

It's a very significant thing to be considering what it is that you're working with.

So if you're listening to this,

You're somebody who has said,

I'm interested in looking at energy blocks,

At clearing them,

At healing them,

At resolving them.

So you have to be able to see them first and foremost.

In meditation,

This is called gaining insight.

It's starting to start to have realization as to the nature of something.

And so,

Foundationally,

It's,

Are you taking some time in your day to be centered?

Are you taking some time in your day to be still and to learn to observe?

And from that observational stance,

The observational presence,

Can you start to see the patterns playing themselves out?

Can you start to see the movements of the mind and the feelings of your body more clearly,

And to potentially start making different decisions?

And in doing so,

When you start seeing these things more clearly,

You start to notice maybe the ability to reverse engineer these patterns back to the mind back to their source.

And this is what holistic healing is,

Is it's getting back to the source of things,

To try and understand where did this energy block bloom.

And that can be a very amazing and profound experience to get to the source of something that's very deep within us that creates some kind of distortion,

Creates some kind of dysfunctional pattern in ourselves throughout our life or through much of our life.

And it's a really beautiful thing.

So I hope that this is an inspiring talk to get you on board with that and to continue you further along the path to do so.
