Hello and welcome to this relaxing sleep meditation with me Keziah Gibbons.
This meditation is inspired by neuroscience and presented with magic.
All of the processes described happen naturally during sleep and whilst falling asleep and what we're doing here is just using your intention to send signals to your unconscious mind and nervous system.
As you fall asleep all your brainwaves sink into long slow waves and I don't know if you can start to imagine those long slow waves.
So you might see them perhaps as waves on a graph or waves washing on a beach.
Just slow undulations or perhaps you might start to feel the waves washing through your brain back and forth.
Sinking together,
Getting slower and imperceptibly slower or perhaps you just know that process is happening.
As you allow your body and your mind to relax and as you sleep,
When you sleep,
Whenever you're ready to sleep,
Know that while you're resting here even if you're not asleep yet,
The process is beginning and wonderful things are starting to happen within you.
Perhaps you can even start to sense them as you turn your attention inwards and as you sleep,
When you sleep,
Even as you become unconscious,
That energy is turned into energy which produces and strengthens the guardians of your immune system.
So I wonder if you can imagine any last drops of wakeful energy changing and transforming and becoming guardians of your immune system who then move rhythmically around your body reducing any inflammation and preventing anything you don't want from getting in.
So you might see those guardians moving around your body,
You might see any inflammation getting smaller and smaller,
You might feel more rested even as you fall asleep hearing any background sounds just fading away and cultivating that feeling of safety as the guardians guard your sleep and you can become more healthy without even doing anything just resting and allowing your body to do what it naturally does.
And as you sleep the magic of your body manifests itself in your glymphatic system which takes advantage of this deep restful state to gently clean your brain leaving you feeling lighter,
Clearer and refreshed in the morning but for now you don't even have to think about it you can just let the process happen in the background as you fall deeper into sleep allowing your body to rest and your breathing to soften trusting your bed to hold you safe throughout the night Meanwhile the waves of your glymphatic system gently lap through the infrastructure of your brain removing anything that no longer serves,
Detangling any tangles,
Lightening the load making everything just that little bit easier,
A gentle rhythmic movement of waves over your brain making it clearer,
Quieter even as you release anything that is ready to go now handing it over and trusting the amazing systems in your body and brain to clear it out leaving space for you to relax into and isn't it wonderful how even as you relax and rest allowing your breathing to slow and your muscles to relax this sets off a cascade of gentle easy magic in your body melatonin signaling for the rest to increase and the sleep to deepen and as you sleep the waves of your brain getting slower and more restful,
More easeful the guardians of your sleep reducing inflammation making you better,
Healthier,
More well and more easeful even if you haven't quite fallen into the depths of sleep yet and instead are just listening restfully the guardians of your sleep are already here and are granting you all the gifts of rest the glymphatic fluid flowing through your brain and naturally washing away anything that has done clearing space for a restful night and an easeful awakening in the morning and you can just lie here for as long as you like riding the waves of your breath the waves of your brain,
All the deep and natural rhythms of your body that restore you all night through as you sleep and rest allowing the guidance to drift away now as you easily continue with the natural process of natural sleep noticing how it feels noticing just how deep you can go and how your body and brain do that without any effort on your part entrusting yourself to sleep
