I'm so glad you're able to make just a little time with me.
Truly you will have a very busy schedule and every moment is precious until I don't take for granted the time that you're sharing with me now.
Thank you.
Our mindfulness meditation just now will be focused on appreciating the femininity or masculinity of our being.
Truly we are all feminine and truly we are all masculine to some varying degree.
And perhaps if those two binaries exist,
It is only a phraseology that I use to express positively an appreciation of balance,
Of being and perspective.
And so I'd ask that you find a comfortable position just now.
And this would be a lovely position where you're either standing,
Sitting,
Lying down.
You're back firmly against a wall,
Propped up against a chair or couch.
Somewhere where you feel like you might not need to make minor adjustments.
A place where you can just settle in,
Find a cozy nook for yourself in reality and become aware of the gravity of you just now.
And it can be helpful to remember that our intentions are of ease and awareness.
Sit in a way that feels comfortable.
Stand,
Lie.
But please,
Attempt to be alert.
We'll begin this practice with a slight body scan.
Going through the body and bringing our awareness to the physical sensations we experience.
Perhaps we'll start by tuning into the crown of the head.
And if it feels right for you,
Just gently bring your awareness to the top of the head.
Just tune in to whatever you're experiencing there.
And remember,
There's no right or wrong.
There's just tuning into whatever is physically present.
Perhaps this would be a lovely time to soften your gaze.
Or if it feels right for you,
Close your eyes.
Softly become more aware of your surroundings.
Focusing now again on the forehead and into the brow.
And again,
Tuning into whatever is present.
You may notice how the air feels on your skin.
Perhaps some feeling of relaxation.
Is present.
Simply be with it and tune in.
You may notice some movement with the eyes,
Even as they're closed or softened.
Let's move into the tip of the nose,
The nostrils,
The upper lip.
Here you may feel the body breathing.
Simply be with the inhale and exhale without judgment.
Tune into the mouth.
Perhaps your jaw has some slight tension.
Couldn't we allow the jaw,
The lips,
The tongue renunciation of tension?
Drop what it's holding.
And allow your perspective to be the only fixed,
Focused aspect of you.
No judgment,
Ease.
Present.
Now.
Are you feeling your neck and your throat?
Focusing any tension or any movement of the body with the breath.
And remember,
There's nothing you should be experiencing.
There's no right or wrong here.
Just tune in to the direct physical experience.
It's in that tuning.
It's in that focus.
You are anchoring yourself to the present moment.
And it's truly the present moment that we are interested in.
Let go of the judgments and thoughts.
And perhaps just return to the actual physical body.
Perhaps we drop our attention down deep into the lungs.
Feeling the soft sensations as air courses through our body.
Is there tension in the stomach?
If so,
Perhaps just allow the stomach to just sag now.
And just your breathing.
Feeling your breathing is your focus now.
Be present.
Be here now.
Truly a healthy mind will move and wander.
You are doing that all day and all night,
Aren't you?
So of course your mind defaults to moving in this way.
But that's fine.
This meditation is about what rises,
Observing it,
And allowing it to carry on.
We are focused and fixed on our breath.
We are present.
We are here now.
We are here now.
And paying close attention to allowing the brow to continue to experience a relaxing sensation throughout the face.
Please repeat with me.
May I be at peace with my masculinity.
May the world be at peace with my masculinity.
Get peace with my masculinity.
Take a deep breath here for five counts with me.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Hold.
And we will exhale with a sigh like this.
Ahhhhhh.
Now,
Please,
If it feels right,
Repeat after me.
May I be at peace with my femininity.
May the world be at peace with my femininity.
May I be at peace with my femininity.
May the world be at peace with my femininity.
May the world be at peace with my femininity.
May the world be at peace with my femininity.
May the world be at peace with my femininity.
May the world be at peace with my femininity.
May the world be at peace with my femininity.
May the world be at peace with my femininity.
May the world be at peace with my femininity.
And now,
Softly open your eyes.
Come on back to our experience shared with others.
Life.
And I'd like to add that when the mind begins thinking,
Simply notice what it's thinking.
As you move throughout your day,
Whether it's a single thought rising,
Or you find yourself lost,
Or note that the mind is thinking,
And open your awareness back up.
You can expand yourself at any time throughout your day.
You've just proven you can do so,
And I know you can.
I would suggest continuing with this mindfulness practice of resting in an open awareness,
Noticing whatever arises,
Comes up for you.
And ask yourself,
What is going on in my experience at this moment?
I really appreciate you sharing with me these affirmations.
May I be at peace with my masculinity.
May the world be at peace with my masculinity.
May I be at peace with my femininity.
And may the world be at peace with my femininity.
Truly,
This time was valuable.
And again,
I thank you for it.
I hope it continues to help you and assist you on your way,
On your path.
And remember,
I'm always here,
So you can always rewind or just come right back,
And we'll drop in together.
Spend a moment together in the present.
Thank you again for your practice.
I am California now.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
