Hello.

Welcome here and begin to find a nice spot.

You can be walking or standing or sitting or lying down.

The only thing that matters is that you're comfortable.

But it may be nice to be able to close your eyes during this brief,

Guided thought process.

So if you'd like,

Go ahead and close your eyes and bring your attention to right now,

Right here in your body.

And it's time to relax a bit more.

So breathe in nice,

Slow,

Long breaths.

Give your body that extra oxygen it may be wanting.

And allow any tension to soften.

Soften around your shoulders.

Soften around your heart area.

And relax your abdomen area.

And your legs.

Breathe and breathe.

And as you do,

I want to introduce a quote from Howard Thurman.

Don't ask what the world needs.

Ask what makes you come alive and go out and do it.

Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Don't ask what the world needs.

Ask what makes you come alive and go out and do it.

Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Just let those words be with you for a little bit.

You don't need to ask what the world needs.

Ask what makes you come alive and go out and do it.

Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Become aware of any feelings,

Sensations in your body,

Thoughts or images that might come.

Just be aware of what pops up.

And what do you notice?

And what makes you come alive?

Just let it come.

What makes you come alive and what can you do with that?

Ask yourself,

What makes me feel alive and what can I do with that?

What are those times when you feel the most vivid and energized and engaged?

Those times when you might lose track of time because you're so engaged in something.

What patterns emerge when you look at those times or circumstances when your unique gifts are shining through?

What are those patterns that come up when you're really in flow using those gifts that you have and you do have them?

I assure you,

You do.

Everybody does.

Our passionate responses to life are like a string of shining lights guiding us home to ourselves.

Deeper into our true selves,

These lights are our talents,

Perspectives and gifts that long to be expressed through us for the world.

So now that you're here,

This is the time to ask yourself,

What makes me come alive and what can I do with that?

And if you're already doing something with it,

What else can you do with it?

How can you take it a little bit deeper?

We're often guided to try to find our bliss and to follow that.

But sometimes following that advice can be like chasing sunshine.

We can often better know what is meant for us or what makes us really come alive when we notice the circumstances that light us up from the inside and make us shine.

So what is the pattern of these circumstances that really light us up from the inside that make us shine?

Remembering that the world doesn't need us to do a specific thing.

The world needs people who come alive.

Here's a poem.

More words to just let wash over and through you as you relax and breathe.

The river is famous to the fish.

The loud voice is famous to silence,

Which knew it would inherit the earth before anybody said so.

The cat sleeping on the fence is famous to the birds.

Watching him from the birdhouse.

The tear is famous briefly to the cheek.

The idea you carry close to your bosom is famous to your bosom.

The boot is famous to the earth,

More famous than the dress shoe,

Which is famous only to floors.

The bent photograph is famous to the one who carries it and not at all famous to the one who is pictured.

I want to be famous to shuffling men who smile while crossing streets,

Sticky children in grocery lines,

Famous as the one who smiled back.

I want to be famous in the way a pulley is famous or a buttonhole,

Not because it did anything spectacular,

But because it never forgot what it could do.

So what can you do?

Can you remember what you can do?

What makes you come alive?

Remembering not to ask what the world needs,

But to ask what makes you come alive.

To remember that.

To go out and do that,

Because what the world needs is for you to come alive.

Breathing in and out,

The breath is evidence that you are alive.

And the deeper we breathe,

The deeper we invite and receive life into us.

Fill your lungs,

Fill your body with oxygen and allow yourself to come alive in the way only you can.

If your eyes were closed,

You can bring your awareness back to your body and the room that you're in and at your leisure,

You can flutter open your eyes,

Feeling some appreciation in your heart that you just did something very important.

And even if you don't have all the answers in your conscious mind,

You do have them in your subconscious mind and they are on their way to you.

Have a wonderful day or night and we shall reunite next time.

Wonderful music and very calming voice. Thank you ever so much for this refreshing approach and quotes from literature. This particular meditation reminded me what really matters and lack of lengthy introduction of who you are and what we will do and such and such, helped with easy flow of your recording, it supports my focus on the essence of this message. Thank uou so much and please share more!
